100 years ago we had one of the wisest Presidents ever in office. That man was Calvin Coolidge. He was known for an age of prosperity but also known for giving good advice such as this line:

“I have never been hurt by what I have not said.”

Coolidge once held the office of Vice President, JD Vance the current Vice President apparently has taken his advice to heart and put out a hilarious tweet in the face of the whole world screaming for him to say something about Trump vs Musk which said:

Slow news day, what are we even going to talk about?

Now THAT’S funny.

It’s worth pointing out that Elon Musk is right that the “Big Beautiful Bill” does not cut as much as it should and spends more than it should, that is simple math and Elon is very good at math.

But as an engineer he should also be good at the math involving tolerances, that is, how far you can push something before you reach the danger point.

As I’ve already pointed out, this is the best bill that could be gotten out of the house with the majority you have, the math is very direct, you needed one more than a majority in the House and 50 votes in the senate on a reconciliation bill.

Without bigger majorities you can’t do better than this. It’s not just a matter of straight math it’s a matter of tolerances and Musk should know this.

There was a lot of talk coming out of the MSM over yesterday but the thing that I found absolutely Hilarious was this tweet from the official Democrat party twitter/x account:

In case the tweet doesn’t show the Democrats tweeted:

Kill the bill and release the Epstein Files!

Yes you read that right, the DEMOCRATS are now suddenly calling for the release of the Epstein files. I replied thus:

I’m sorry but getting @TheDemocrats to call for the release of the #EpsteinFiles is troll level ULTIMATE! I think the feud is a real thing but if it’s not this is 12 dimensional chess not 4

This is why you should never tweet while angry or on a emotional high.

If I’m Trump I tell Pam Bondi: I know you’re going through them but dump them all by the end of next week they asked for it.

I say the end of next week because this is going to be the only story for the next few days so if you have news you want hidden now’s the time to drop it.

I often refer to Tip O’Neill’s excellent autobiography “Man of the House” because it has so many lesions on how politics works. Yesterday’s kerfuffle remined me of one such story.

LBJ was meeting with Tip and called for some polling figures and an aide was slow in getting them and Johnson chewed him out with a profanity laced tirade. When Tip spoke to the aide saying that president or no I wouldn’t take that kind of grief from anyone the aide answered: That’s just his way five minutes from now he’ll forget all about it.

If there is one consistent thing about Donald Trump it’s the ability to work with people that he doesn’t agree with or even doesn’t get along with because he is completely goal orientated. You will see him make peace and a deal with anybody as long as it advances his goals. He’ll let Elon rant and jab him gently as he has so far but one there is a common goal he won’t be shy about making up with him, particularly when he knows he holds all the cards right now.

There are folks like Steve Bannon, who never liked or trusted Musk who want Trump to go all Houthis in Yemen on him.

Trump won’t rise to that bait. He’ll simply let good economic numbers for the country (and bad stock numbers for Tesla) speak for themselves. He’ll let folks like the teamsters who voted for him remind him that he may have kicked in money but the voters were showing up at rallies for Trump long before he turned up and that with one customer base already upset with him it’s not a good idea to upset a second until Elon reaches the Cardinal Richelieu moment from the 1948 version of the Three Musketeers:

When that moment comes (and there are signs it already has) Trump will take this scene from The Chosen to heart:

Let’s pray for them both and hope Elon this scene from the classic picture Harvey to heart.

I recommend pleasant over smart too or to quote Tip O’Neill again: “I always knew how to count.”

Finally there is one point on this thing that I completely missed that John Nolte didn’t:

Nolte said, “We don’t know what’s really going on, but I do know that Trump is sticking his finger in the eye of his biggest donor and that never happens. How many times did Barack Obama piss off George Soros? Zero.”

Seriously can you think of any pol, even one who doesn’t have to face the voters again, who is willing to stand up to his biggest donor to advance what he thinks is right? Does nobody see the amount of street cred this gives Donald Trump in terms of fighting for his principles? Who else has ever done this?

It’s like the story of the Mafia approaching Rocky Marciano to try to get him to throw his title fight against Don Cockell to clean up on the odds. Rocky rebuked them saying he was ashamed that they were Italian. The dons were disappointed but were impressed that he stood up to them.

In the end when Musk realizes this he will get that his best chance to meet his goal of reaching Mars is with Trump at his side vs sword to sword.

Yesterday the left was partying like Satan until 3 pm on Good Friday, let me remind them it quickly went down hill for him from that point.

As of this writing the AP has not yet called the election for Donald Trump showing him 3 EV short with five states still uncalled by them (although some have been called by others) Michigan, Arizona Wisconsin, Nevada and Alaska.

Alaska is enough to clinch.

Why they haven’t called Alaska yet is beyond me.

Then again NBC, CBS, ABC & CNN haven’t called it either.

Let the record show that Citizen Free Press was the first to call the election at 10:41 PM EST.

(While I was typing point 4 (5:31 AM) ABC called Wisconsin for Trump putting him over. NBC & CBS and the AP apparently has too. Oddly None of them have called Alaska.

Latino voters made a big difference this time around. Working in a place where Spanish is the 1st language I saw that coming a mile away but a lot in the media did not.

People forget that “Hispanics” or as the media / left likes to say “Latinx” do not come from a mythical land of “Hispanica”. They come from a lot of different cultures. Dominicans, are different from Mexicans, who are different than Venezuelans who are different than Guatemalans, who are different from Columbians, etc etc etc

Democrats not respecting that likely hurt them.

I suspect that if they realized this was coming they would have finished the wall 20 years ago.

It’s worth remembering that Joe Biden is still an old frail man and it is very possible that in the next 78 days Kamala Harris could become the 47th President of the United States and Donald Trump the 48th if he doesn’t make it to January 20th alive.

But if he really wanted to twist the knife on the folks who forced him off the ballot he would resign sometime next month and have Kamala be president for a month or so. That would make Kamala the 1st woman president and would force Trump to rebrand all his 47 stuff.

It would be fun.

I think we can look at the last three elections as decided by the Hubris of the losers.

Election 2016 was lost by the Democrats because in their Hubris they not only believed the polls but the machine folks in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania all figured they didn’t need to steal and election that Hillary had cold. So when the Trump wave came, they weren’t able to create the vote to steal it as you need to prepare. (That’s why it took hours to make the final call and why the three hold out states were called all at once).

Election 2020 was lost by Donald Trump because in his Hubris he didn’t bother to take my advice and start working on election fraud in right after 2016. So when the Democrats who had prepared for the steal for four years struck he was caught flat footed. His team worked valiantly but as the old saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Election 2024 was lost by the Democrats who in their Hubris counted on hatred of Trump didn’t allow Biden to be challenged in a primary and lied to our faces about his fitness for months if not years and who also in their hubris figured the GOP would not be ready to counter dirty tricks. They lied with impunity and it cost them on election day. It might not have cost them states that they might have but even in blue states he closed the gap, not enough to win a NJ or a NY but it showed everywhere.

Hubris is deadly

Now that this election is over there is a bigger problem for Democrats.

Four years from now Donald Trump will not be on the ballot so it’s possible that some of those who turned out for him might not for JD Vance who has to be considered the presumptive nominee for the party. (or if Trump dies in office the incumbent remember he is 77 years old and just worked himself practically to death over the last 6 months).

But the question is will the folks who just didn’t like Donald Trump decide they hate JD Vance just as much. Will we now see the “Never Vance” movement?

I suspect we will in the media who are paid for such things but not in the public.

Control: This is an emergency. Control must be believed and obeyed! No one on the Colony believes in Macra! There is no such thing as Macra! Macra do not exist! THERE ARE NO MACRA!

Doctor Who, The Macra Terror 1967

As of this writing (7:45 AM) the Joe Rogan Experience podcast with Donald Trump which dropped late last night has 8.7 million views.

This is extraordinary when you consider the following:

  1. The podcast runs almost 3 hours (2:58:50)
  2. Trump has been around for a very long time
  3. It’s been less than a half a day and overnight for a lot of those in the east

What are people who are watching the podcast seeing? A conversation lasting three hours. A rational conversation on all kinds of topics, from the great flip flops of the celebs who embraced Trump for decades up until the point where he was considerer a threat to the power of the left to boxing and MMF. The type of conversation that regular people might have. The type of conversation that gives you a pretty good picture of who a person actually is.

In other words the type of conversation that the media:

  1. Doesn’t dare have about Donald Trump because it would destroy their false negative narrative
  2. Doesn’t dare have with Kamala Harris because it would destroy their false positive narrative

Ironically after three hours with Rogan Trump went off to a rally that night, so much for the “tired” and “ducking” business.

Here is the whole thing:

There was some talk on COVID and the vaccines which is actually a weakness for Trump (but not in contrast to Harris/Biden) and the conversation on some Trump supporters being nervous about RFK’s role in the administration was interesting and groundbreaking. There was some real news broken there which is why it’s worth your time.

There was an early report that youtube was censoring the link but Rogan himself noted that there had been a tech issue that was resolved by delisting and then relisting the podcast. Frankly as a person who is still banned by Youtube it’s nice to see them not censoring this.

Rogan expressed an interest in having Harris on but apparently the sticking point was Harris teams’ insistence on making some topics off limits while Trump agreed to no limits on topics.

Of course if the crash and burn continues the campaign may change it’s mind figuring like a Hockey team pulling their goalie when down 5 with 2 minutes to go. What have you got to lose?

But Trump wasn’t the only one who was on a major podcast. JD Vance appeared on the Theo Von podcast for two hours

What is really interesting has been the feedback from so many of the over 2 million who watched the podcast who have been told by the media that Vance was “odd” or “weird” or “strange” and after seeing him for two hours found him the most normal guy in the room.

Read the comments to the podcast it’s shattering to the narrative that people have put out there on Vance and an excellent reminder that the BS the media sold during the time they hid Joe Biden cognitive decline is not the only lie that they have been pushing.

This is the type of thing people watch on their own, the media can’t hide or counter it and it’s the type of things that changes votes.

These two podcasts are the ultimate expression of bypassing the narrative and going directly to the people letting voters who wish to see people as they actually are. This is the ultimate expression of the 1st amendment.

The media will try to avoid these podcasts. I can hear them now:

This is an emergency. Media must be believed and obeyed! No one on the country believes in Trump/Vance Podcasts! There is no such thing as Trump/Vance Podcasts! Trump/Vance Podcast do not exist! THERE ARE NO PODCASTS!

If you want to know why the left demands censorship these two podcasts are it.

Checkmate.
