I’m back home from Pintastic NE 2023 the most relaxing time I’ve had in months and frankly the best Pintastic I’ve attended with one exception. I didn’t have a chance to interview Gabe at the end of the show because of time constraints, however I will be uploading and posting video daily till it’s all up. Meanwhile here is the new Godfather 50th Anniversary Pinball Machine.

The one on the left is the “cheap” one that sells for $12,500, the one on the right is the expensive version that sells for $15,000. You’ll hear more about that specific game later in the month.

There seems to be a lot of shock that Ted Lieu is objecting to the move by the governor of New Mexico to try to remove gun rights by fiat:

I’d like to give Mr. Lieu the benefit of the doubt that he actually understands that this is unconstitutional but I would not be surprised if this is more of a case of learning what Harry Reid did not, namely if your side changes the rules in one state then the other side can do the same elsewhere.

Frankly I’m less concerned if he’s doing this for selfish reasons, altruistic reasons or both as long as he’s with us in defending the constitution.

Apparently the president’s performance in Vietnam was yet another national embarrassment but frankly I’m wondering something.

For a long time Joe Biden making a fool or an ass out of himself was not newsworthy because the media didn’t want to promote or expose this fact which was a disgrace in terms of how journalism works.

I’m wondering however if we’ve actually reached a point where Joe Biden being non compos mentis is so common and so established that it’s no longer newsworthy if he acts that way, or that it will not be newsworthy until he carries himself like a normal person.

I’m sorry. I like Citizen Free Press and think it’s usually an excellent source but this a “fascinating read” Really?

Can someone tell me why anyone, particularly a conservative site is trusting a story from the NYT or Bill Kristol as a source as to what big money GOP donors are thinking concerning election 2023?

Finally today is 9/11 and as a child of Depression era parents and the son of a father who served in the Pacific in World War 2 I find myself more and more frustrated on this day.

I hate that we didn’t rebuild the towers twice as big.

I hate that we didn’t finish the job with Iran when we had armies to the east and west of Iran and a navy to the south.

I hate that we didn’t do in Iraq what we did in Germany and Japan, namely stay till they were no longer a threat even if it took half a century. If we weren’t going to do the job right why go in?

But all those things that I hate are a function of what the country and the culture has become helped on by enemies who figured out it’s cheaper and smarter to spend their money on pols and academics that you can buy and use for decades rather than weapons that can be destroyed or go obsolete.

All of these things were choices made by us as a nation, just as our decline has been a choice. That’s the worst part of it all.

On the bright side today is the birthday of one of my nephews that I’m closest to so while 9/11 is a day of infamy on the day and shame pondering our response nationally personally I’m glad to have this fine fellow in my family so happy birthday and many more.

Progressivism, like all other collectivist ideologies, is all about elites controlling every aspect of the lives of the common folk, who the elites believe are too stupid to decide for themselves.  Once you understand this, everything about these collectivist ideologies becomes clear, including these new alcohol consumption guidelines, just released by the Director of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.

Americans could be urged by officials to drink no more than two beers a week as part of strict new alcohol guidelines.

Biden’s health czar told DailyMail.com the USDA could revise its alcohol advice to match Canada‘s, where people are advised to have just two drinks per week.

Right now, these are just suggestions made by a member of the Biden Regime.  How long will they remain just suggestions?  Given the track record of the Federal Government during the Wuhan Flu Pandemic, and the long history of progressivism in general, I believe it will not be long before an attempt is made to make this guideline mandatory.

Progressives were responsible for the disastrous Prohibition of the 1920s and 1930s.  They have been responsible for countless attempts of banning substances they believe are harmful. Just look at how Progressives handles the Wuhan Flu.  They are now attempting to bring back forces masking and vaccine passports.

The Daily Mail article I got the quote from goes on and on about the negative health effects of alcohol.  None of that matters at all when it comes to the Federal Government banning or limiting consumption of any substance.  The Federal Government does not have the Constitutional authority to ban or limit the consumption of anything.  The plain meaning of the Interstate Commerce Clause has been distorted since the 1940s to make it seem like the Federal Government has that authority.  Life would be better off for everyone in the United States if we returned to the original understanding of that clause.

I have been an Amateur Radio Operator for over 35 years.  Emergency communication is the most important aspect of the hobby.  When all else fails there is Ham Radio.  That is because most of our equipment is portable and can operate without any infrastructure at all. All we need to establish reliable worldwide communications is wire antennas supported by trees, our radio equipment, and a way to power the equipment that does no rely on commercial power.  Portable gas powered generators are absolutely perfect for that.

When I saw this headline, Proposed New Biden Rule Essentially Bans All Portable Gas Powered Generators Currently On The Market (thefederalistpapers.org), I was absolutely outraged because I knew that ban would be very detrimental to all emergency communications, not just ham radio.  This will cost a lot of lives.

The Biden administration is working on a new rule through the Consumer Product Safety Commission that limits the carbon monoxide emissions of products. The rule is so stringent that 95% of the current portable gas generators on the market wouldn’t meet the standard. Industry insiders have warned that this could result in a massive shortage of generators since it would take manufacturers years, not the given six months, to design compliant generators.

The only other practical alternative to portable generators are solar panels and car batteries.  I know from a lot of experience that they are no where near as reliable.

There is no valid reason for the ban.  The vast majority of individuals know generators produce carbon monoxide, which can kill you.

Ham Radio Operators will not be the only ones negatively impacted.

Portable gas generators play a crucial role in helping approximately five million households keep their lights on during power outages. If the proposed rule comes into effect, these generators could become exceedingly hard to obtain as manufacturers will be prohibited from stockpiling non-compliant generators before the rule is enacted.

This proposed rule follows closely behind a similar one by Biden-backed commissioner Richard Trumka Jr. which is aimed at banning gas stoves, a move he terms as mitigating a “hidden hazard.” This comes at a time when many parts of America are facing increased risks of power outages due to an over-reliance on green energy. The inability to meet electricity demand, especially during peak times, has already led to power blackouts in states like California.

This ban is not necessary at all.

The Portable Generator Manufacturers’ Association has already implemented voluntary standards to ensure safety from carbon monoxide emissions, requiring generators to automatically shut off when carbon monoxide concentrations reach certain levels, among other safety measures. The Biden administration, however, argues that more stringent emission caps are needed

It is safe to say that the Democrats were emboldened by the successful theft of the 2020 presidential election.  They were further emboldened by the utter lack of any meaningful response from the Republican Party.  That has not stopped them from coming up with more and more elaborate plans to make absolutely sure Republicans will never win another Presidential election.

The Biden Regime’s latest attempt is rather clever and elaborate.  Unfortunately it would be more successful than anything Acme ever produced.

Through this executive order, the president is abusing the power of his office and using taxpayer-funded resources to transform federal government agencies into get-out-the-vote machines for the left.

Like all other attempts by the Democrats, this one is in direct of the Constitution.

When it comes to elections, the U.S. Constitution is clear: Determining their time, place, and manner falls squarely upon the shoulders of the state legislatures with limited oversight from Congress. Nowhere is the president granted the power to regulate elections.

Yet through Executive Order 14019, President Joe Biden has ordered federal agencies to engage in overtly political activities that will affect elections, while violating the Constitution and federal law in the process.

The effects of this Executive Order will be far reaching.

The bad news is this executive order brings the threat of federal election interference to every state’s doorstep. And with the countdown to 2024 well underway, time is running out to stop Team Biden’s scheme. The good news is Congress and the states can stop the threat if they work together and work quickly.

This Executive Order will deputize every single far left community activist group, making them voter registration power houses.

In one of his first acts after taking office, Biden signed Executive Order 14019, titled “Promoting Access to Voting.” His order commanded every federal agency to use taxpayer-funded resources to engage in voter registration and get-out-the-vote efforts. These are overtly partisan activities reserved for political parties, not government.

Through food stamps, public housing, Medicaid, and other welfare programs, federal agencies have the resources and ability to target millions of potential voters across every state in the country — potential voters whose information is required to enroll in these programs and who are statistically more likely to vote Democrat.

The order went even further by requiring agencies to allow third-party groups, hand-selected by the White House, to engage in voter registration activities on federal agency premises.
