The Democrats who are now in control of the Federal Government are exploiting the Capitol Hill riot to a level even I had not expected, using this one incident of violence as an excuse to begin a clamp down on those of us they consider to be the enemy. Can you guess who they are?  This is even more despicable because there is a chance this sorry affair was perpetrated by leftists.

This is right out of the standard progressive playbook and is captured in this prophetic quote by Rahm Emanuel:

You never want a serious crisis go to waste. What I mean by that is it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.

In response to the riot the Biden administration is proposing a rather extreme crackdown on those of us on the political right.  Of course they are cloaking their proposal in the usual progressive double speak.  Those of us who are fluent in their deceptive use of language would have no trouble deciphering the ominous message inside their proposal, which is documented in this White House Briefing Transcript.  I’ve included the full text relating to the proposal.  After each paragraph I will add my analysis and some sarcastic comments.

I also have some news to share on the President’s response to domestic violent extremism.  The January 6th assault on the Capitol and the tragic deaths and destruction that occurred underscored what we have long known: The rise of domestic violent extremism is a serious and growing national security threat.

Of course those of us who deal with reality, unlike those on the political left know the “violent extremists” they will crack down are those who believe in individual rights, honor the Constitution, and know the truth that presidential election was stolen from President Trump.   The Democrats will ignore those who committed the vast majority of the real violence the past decade or so, their own side of the political spectrum.

The Biden administration will confront this threat with the necessary resources and resolve.  We are committed to developing policies and strategies based on facts, on objective and rigorous analysis, and on a respect for constitutionally protected free speech and political activities.

What are the chances of the Biden Administration actually respecting the constitutionally protected free speech of those on the political right?  Negligible at best considering the track record of the extreme leftists now controlling the Democrat Party

Our initial work on DVE will broadly fall into three areas.  The first is a tasking from President Biden sent to the ODNI today requesting a comprehensive threat assessment, coordinated with the FBI and DHS, on domestic violent extremism.  This assessment will draw on the analysis from across the government and, as appropriate, nongovernmental organizations.

The Biden Administration will be relying on the oh so corrupt deep state which is still way too full of Obama cronies.

The key point here is that we want fact-based analysis upon which we can shape policy.  So this is really the first step in the process, and we’ll rely on our appropriate law enforcement and intelligence officials to provide that analysis.

When has the political left ever relied on actual facts?  That quote about fact based analysis is laughable.

The second will be the building of an NSC capability to focus on countering domestic violent extremism.  As a part of this, the NSC will undertake a policy review effort to determine how the government can share information better about this threat, support efforts to prevent radicalization, disrupt violent extremist networks, and more.

The Biden Administration will be building an infrastructure to clamp down tightly on those who are not politically in lock step with the radical political left.

There’s important work already underway across the interagency in countering DVE, and we need to understand better its current extent and where there may be gaps to address, so we can determine the best path forward.

I interpret this paragraph to mean that the Biden Administration will crackdown and harass those of us who want to share information about and educate others about the US Constitution and our founding principles.  If I’m wrong about this please let me know.

The third will be coordinating relevant parts of the federal government to enhance and accelerate efforts to address DVE.  This considered, an NSC-convened process will focus on addressing evolving threats, radicalization, the role of social media, opportunities to improve information sharing, operational responses, and more.

The federal government will now be working closely with the corporate tyrants who have been working overtime to silence conservatives and everyone else on the political right.  That is how I interpret this last paragraph.  Free speech and the Constitution mean nothing to the Biden Administration.  Their earlier protestation is laughable in the extreme.  When have leftists ever respected the freedom of speech of those who are not leftists?

For the past couple of days I’ve been struggling to come up with a topic for this week’s article.  I’m not experiencing writer’s block.  It’s just that there is just so much wrong with our country right now, so much wrong at so many levels.  There are too many topics to choose from so I guess I’ll write about each topic that’s troubling me so much right now.

I know with all my heart that treating every single individual as the truly unique person we are is far superior to the identity politics peddled by the political left.  If you divide us up into artificial groups based on race, sex, religion, sexual orientation, or any characterization you automatically set one group against another.  Just look at how left has vilified white people.  It is just shocking to me.  I know this is nothing compared to how blacks were treated during slavery or segregation, both are also examples of liberals and their identity politics. Treating every individual the same with the same worth, no matter the color of their skin, leads to far less hate and division.

It is absolutely amazing to me how much liberal propaganda infects all levels of the news.  I noticed this decades ago, and it keeps getting worse.  Every single local news broadcast here in Massachusetts is nonstop liberal nonsense.  Hopefully it is different in red states, but I doubt it.  Even the weather is infected, they are constantly pushing global warming and climate change propaganda.  There are so few outlets that actually tell the truth left, especially after Fox News turned traitor.  I am so outraged after the firing of Lou Dobbs.

The crack down against conservatives on social media after the riot on Capitol Hill has reached levels that are on par with the most totalitarian nations.  Check out this article from the Federalist.

Censorship and blacklisting are serious unjust cultural acts that increasingly filter Americans into second-class citizens based on their political viewpoints. The censorship and blacklisting that we are seeing in America right now is viewpoint discrimination. Censorship and blacklisting need to be fully rejected by American society before they become accepted cultural norms that make even worse injustices likely and more possible.

It is truly horrific watching the Biden regime dismantle and destroy the American economy, which is documented in this American Thinker article.

the Biden Administration, the Democrats in Congress, and their fellow-travelers in the Ruling Class are determined to permanently stifle economic growth by their infatuation with hypothetical climate change thus undermining energy development as well as manufacturing.  They credulously claim that the theoretical green energy revolution will replace these jobs and wealth, but that will take decades if at all, and will be far too little and too late to prevent national insolvency.

Their determination to raise business taxes as well as dramatically increase job- and business formation-killing regulations is anathema to promoting growth.  Their resolve to institute what is tantamount to economic central planning by the bureaucrats in Washington will cause enormous dislocation in financial resources, thus, throttling access to capital for expansion or new business formation.

There is so much more I could write about here in this article but I have to stop now because my blood is boiling too much.

Joe Biden’s first two weeks in office have so far proved to be as bad as I feared.  He has issued a staggering number of executive orders, all of them a smorgasbord of far left edicts from on high, all of which destroy liberty, the economy, and jobs.  So far the Democrats-Socialists who control congress have not passed a single bit of legislation but when they finally do, everything they pass will be as odious as all of Biden’s executive orders.

Because both Houses of Congress and the presidency are all occupied by the most radical leftists imaginable all appears to be very bleak for every single person living the United States.  Thankfully a remedy exists under our Constitution whereby the individual states can put a halt to all unconstitutional acts by the federal government, whether they be laws passed by congress, executive orders, or Supreme Court decisions.  This remedy is called Nullification and it is discussed in great detail in the Draft of Kentucky Resolutions by Thomas Jefferson.  The Kentucky Resolutions were written by Jefferson in response to the Alien and Sedition Acts, which were signed into law by John Adams.  The final version passed by Kentucky were very much watered by the Kentucky legislature, therefore I believe do not truly represent the views of Jefferson.

In this quote we see Thomas Jefferson’s justification for nullification:

1. _Resolved_, That the several States composing the United States of America, are not united on the principle of unlimited submission to their General Government; but that, by a compact under the style and title of a Constitution for the United States, and of amendments thereto, they constituted a General Government for special purposes, — delegated to that government certain definite powers, reserving, each State to itself, the residuary mass of right to their own self-government; and that whensoever the General Government assumes undelegated powers, its acts are unauthoritative, void, and of no force; that to this compact each State acceded as a State, and is an integral party, its co-States forming, as to itself, the other party: that the government created by this compact was not made the exclusive or final judge of the extent of the powers delegated to itself; since that would have made its discretion, and not the Constitution, the measure of its powers; but that, as in all other cases of compact among powers having no common judge, each party has an equal right to judge for itself, as well of infractions as of the mode and measure of redress.

In this next quote Thomas Jefferson discusses one of the most important constitutional principles, one that was so important it was enshrined in the Tenth Amendment.  Every single one of Joe Biden’s executive orders and every single law that the Democrat controlled Congress will pass violate the United States Constitution.

3. _Resolved_, That it is true as a general principle, and is also expressly declared by one of the amendments to the Constitution, that “the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people;” and that no power over the freedom of religion, freedom of speech, or freedom of the press being delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, all lawful powers respecting the same did of right remain, and were reserved to the States or the people

Thomas Jefferson lays out his doctrine of Nullification in this next quote.  As you can see the states can nullify federal actions on their own without waiting for the Supreme Court.

8.  …that in cases of an abuse of the delegated powers, the members of the General Government, being chosen by the people, a change by the people would be the constitutional remedy; but, where powers are assumed which have not been delegated, a nullification of the act is the rightful remedy: that every State has a natural right in cases not within the compact, (casus non foederis,) to nullify of their own authority all assumptions of power by others within their limits: that without this right, they would be under the dominion, absolute and unlimited, of whosoever might exercise this right of judgment for them:

Nullification is also discussed in the Virginia Resolutions by James Madison, although he does not use the term.

RESOLVED, That the General Assembly of Virginia, doth unequivocably express a firm resolution to maintain and defend the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of this State, against every aggression either foreign or domestic, and that they will support the government of the United States in all measures warranted by the former.

That this assembly most solemnly declares a warm attachment to the Union of the States, to maintain which it pledges all its powers; and that for this end, it is their duty to watch over and oppose every infraction of those principles which constitute the only basis of that Union, because a faithful observance of them, can alone secure it’s existence and the public happiness.

That this Assembly doth explicitly and peremptorily declare, that it views the powers of the federal government, as resulting from the compact, to which the states are parties; as limited by the plain sense and intention of the instrument constituting the compact; as no further valid that they are authorized by the grants enumerated in that compact; and that in case of a deliberate, palpable, and dangerous exercise of other powers, not granted by the said compact, the states who are parties thereto, have the right, and are in duty bound, to interpose for arresting the progress of the evil, and for maintaining within their respective limits, the authorities, rights and liberties appertaining to them.

Nullification is not discussed in the Constitution but it does not have to be for states to have that power.  If you don not agree check out the Tenth Amendment.  It is not specifically denied to the Sates therefore the states have that power.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 (8/10) Movie CLIP – These Things Happen in War (2015) HD – YouTube

It was obvious to me as I watched it unfold live on TV that there was a lot that was not right about the rioting that took place at the US Capitol on January 6th.  The nature of the US Capitol violence seemed so contrived and it seemed that is was so divorced from the massive peaceful protest that bore all of hallmarks of a true MAGA protest.

The nature of the violence and the nature the more colorful characters on video leading the way and committing most of the violence seemed much more appropriate for an ANTIFA or a Black Lives Matters riot than a MAGA rally.

It made no sense that such a small group would break away from the rest and storm what was supposed to be one of the most secure buildings in the country.  It made no sense that the US Capitol Building could be so easily stormed period yet alone from such a small group. Nothing made sense until I started seeing the following articles indicating that the whole incident was a setup.

Worrisome Signs the Capitol Breach was Planned to Discredit Trump Supporters: An Eyewitness Account – American Thinker

Based on what I saw and read, I have no doubt that dozens and possibly even hundreds of Antifa and/or other provocateurs had infiltrated the rally in order to carry out violent acts and suck impressionable Trump supporters into their antics. None of this violence was justified, but contrast the frustration and conflicted attitude of this Capitol building trespasser with that of the proud of this BLM rioter. One calls for prayer while the other calls for “reparations.”

Some of the more impulsive Trump supporters fell into a trap that served to scapegoat both the Trump administration and the 99.9% of rally participants who neither condoned nor participated in any of the violence.

Were leftist provocateurs leading the way into the Capitol? – American Thinker

First, to state the obvious, there is no question that Trump-supporters criminally entered the Capitol and behaved abominably.  All who breached the inadequate protective perimeter must be prosecuted to the full measure of the law.  Throw the book at them!

But there are grounds for suspicion that provocateurs, anxious to discredit Trump, his supporters, conservatives, and those who question the integrity of the presidential vote may have been the point of the spear in violently attacking the Capitol.

The breach of the Capitol was an obvious set-up – American Thinker

What happened at the Capitol building on Wednesday, to my eyes, obviously was a stratagem to destroy the president’s popularity and support and overshadow the challenges to the Electoral College vote.  The building was breached at the beginning of that process and riveted the media news feeds.  Members of Congress were evacuated with hoods over their heads as if they were in grave danger.

As a group of protesters approached the building, a policeman removed the barricade and appeared to invite them in.

That group entered the rotunda peacefully and stayed behind the rope line.  Those who observed this noted that there were several instigators embedded among the crowd.  They were using bullhorns to agitate and move people.  A couple of them set off flash bangs.

We now know that several known Antifa activists were among the agitators.  As they broke windows, Trump-supporters tried to stop them.  But the distraction worked, frightened the pathetically spineless Republicans who were set to challenge the stolen election.  They quickly capitulated, and Biden was certified.  The Republicans, even the ones we thought had grit, got rolled.

As I read each of the articles I was continuously reminded of the scene from the final Hunger Games movie. which I shared at the beginning of the article.  If you have not read the Hunger Games novels I strongly recommend you do so.  They have an very libertarian message.  They are about a successful rebellion against an extremely powerful and oppressive central government led by President Snow.

When the main character, Katniss Everdeen, and the rebel forces make it to the presidential mansion they notice that it is surrounded by pens containing capitol children serving as human shields for the president.  Out of nowhere a capitol hovercraft appears and drops bombs on the pens of capitol children.  At that point the remaining capitol forces abandon President Snow, ending the war.

As you can see from the scene I shared, President Snow informs Katniss that the head of the rebellion, President Coin, is the person who actually ordered a disguised hovercraft to bomb the capitol children as a ploy to break the will of the remaining capitol forces, ending the war.

I believed that the riot at the US Capitol was the same sort of political ploy by leftists to discredit President Trump and his supporter, just like the authors of the articles I shared here earlier, and the authors of so may other articles I have read on the subject.  I am no conspiracy theorist, I am just the opposite.  I am someone who has studied a great deal of history.  Similar tactics have been used by leftists over and over again.  The Germans during World War II and the Soviets both used that type of tactic.
