There’s a tendency by the left to refer to supporters of Donald J. Trump as a cult.

We’re not.

Oh, before I move on, if you plan to vote for the Trump-Vance ticket and other Republican candidates, do so now. While our side typically likes to vote on Election Day, there’s always that chance you’ll be ill that day, have car problems, a family emergency might arise, or inclement weather might sneak up on you. All of these things can happen tomorrow–however, there’s always the day after.

Except on Election Day.

Mrs. Marathon Pundit and I voted–for Trump of course–last week. Up until post-election day in 2020, both of us opposed early voting. But we’re against the Democrats even more.

Back to “the cult.”

The Democrats dragged a senile old man over the finish line in 2020. So instead of wandering the beaches of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, Joe Biden was living in the world’s priciest nursing home, the White House. Now the Dems, citing first “joy,” and now “Trump is Hitler,” are trying to accomplish the same stunt for Kamala Harris, the poster child of that disease of the public sector, failing upwards.

Cult-leaders believe their followers will fall for anything. Which brings me to influencers.

One bizarre campaign strategy of the Dems is the use of social media influencers who mindlessly cheer on the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz ticket. They were just as zombie-like for Biden-Harris. Since they often post on social media on the same topic almost simultaneously, I suspect all of them are being fed the same lies, oops, make that lines, by the Democratic Party or Dem PACs.

Cult members fall for such appeals to emotion.

The worst of the bunch is the man-child, Harry Sisson. More often than the others, Sissons begins many of his posts with “BOOM,” or “OMG.” And he regularly claims, almost always falsely, that a Trump rally venue is dominated by empty seats, or has attendees leaving early, which course, Sisson will say, cause the Trump-Vance campaign to “panic.”

Thru a couple of liberal PACs, Sisson is paid for his X blather, according to Community Notes on X.

A couple of other influence tools are almost as bad. Until the day Biden was pushed out of the campaign, the Kamala’s Wins X page was known as Biden’s Wins.

What wins?

In an X post last week, Kamala’s Wins said about a Tempe event, “BREAKING: Local reporters in Arizona are reporting that Donald Trump is struggling to fill seats for his rally tonight. Trump’s rallies have been emptier than ever lately.”

That Tempe rally, according to an X video posted in that account’s comments feed, didn’t seem to have a single empty seat.

Then there is Victor Shi, another influencer. Today he said on X, “This matters,” about a Madden game between Tim Walz and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Because he appears to be about 60 years old, the worst of the Harris influencer ilk is Jon Cooper.

For the last few days, Cooper has been claiming on X that a “devastating” video damaging to Trump would be released soon. We’re still waiting. If such a video existed, it would be out by now. What was that I said earlier about early voting? Depending on where you live, it began days ago–or weeks ago.

If Kamala Harris believes these influencers change or add a single vote for her, then it’s solid proof that she is too dumb to be president.

In the 2028 presidential campaign, I predict the use of influencers by Democratic presidential campaigns will be greatly diminished.

But Dem cultists, like shell game operators who can’t fool anyone anymore, will move on to something else.

I write for MONEY!

While Donald Trump was flying to Michigan after his 3 hour session with Joe Rogan Kamala Harris was in Houston where a crowd of 30,000 had gathered.

That crowd has been told by media reports that pop superstar Beyoncé was going to be there and at least one news organization (NBC) reported that she would be performing for free at the event.

Pop superstar Beyoncé will appear with Vice President Kamala Harris at her event in Houston on Friday evening, according to three sources familiar with the plans.

Beyoncé is also expected to perform, said one of the sources, who has direct knowledge of the preparations. The Washington Post first reported the news of Beyoncé’s appearance.

Old friend Captain (am I the only person who still calls him that?) Ed Morrissey notes that the Post was a lot more circumspect in terms of facts vs rumor that NBC news in their story

The Washington Post was a bit more careful, perhaps as a result of the “false rumors” that Beyoncé would perform on the final night of the Democrat convention. Their report on Thursday didn’t include a suggestion that she would sing, but would “appear” at the rally

Nevertheless 30,000 people turned out knowing that Beyoncé was going to be there and the Harris campaign gleefully noted the large crowd.

I suspect those 30,000 came fully expecting her to hear Beyoncé sing. I suspect this because when she got on the stage and introduced Kamala Harris and left WITHOUT signing thing went a tad south for the Harris campaign.

How many of those 30,000 who have not yet voted do you think left that “event” feeling duped? How many of them do you think got home after paying for parking and navigating the traffic that comes from a 30K crowd for a concert that didn’t happen just so she can get Politico to claim she “won the day” might just be, at worst, pissed off enough to vote Trump or at best pissed off enough to stay home for Election 2024?

Ted Cruz should send her a “Thank you” card.

But all of this leads to one simply question: Why didn’t Beyoncé sing?

I mean surely she could have done at least one tune to please the crowd? I understand that it’s not the 1940’s where Bing Crosby could just break into song without a band and her performances might usually require more of a setup for it to come near the quality of what a concert performance might be, but one might think a professional singer is capable of singing a song without the bells and whistles and still not tank.

Furthermore while the idea of a celeb being dense is not foreign to me (after all she endorsed Harris) it’s quite inconceivable to me that she would be unaware of the negative effect that her failure to sing would have on the crowd both immediately at the event and afterwards when their dissatisfaction at the bait and switch would be amplified both in person to friends and on social media.

And if she had been duped by the Harris campaign assuring her that all they wanted was her introduction but telling the press she would sing in the hope of pressuring her to do so, she could have easily bowed out claiming illness or some other reason for not appearing as announced while still giving an endorsement.

So the question remains on the floor: If she actually wants Harris to win why didn’t she sing for her that day?

I don’t claim to know the answer but suspect the it can be traced to some advice that an old Italian man once gave to a young boxer named Rocco Francis Marchegiano who you know better as the only undefeated Heavyweight Champion in history Rocky Marciano back in the 1940’s

“Someday you’re going to win the title and then a lot of guys you never saw before will be coming around,” Mike Piccento had told him long before, “If they want to be with you let them pay. They’ve got the money. They can afford it. They don’t want to be with just plain Rocky. They want to be with a champion. If you were nobody they wouldn’t give you a second look. And if you go downhill, they’ll drop you like a hot potato. So let them pay.”

Everett M Skehan (with family assistance by Peter, Louis and Mary Ann Marciano) Rocky Marciano Biography of a First son page 215

or consider this classic exchange from the old All in the Family Episode when Sammy Davis Jr. visits the Bunker home:

Archie Bunker: Can you maybe give us a little preview of one of the songs you’re gonna do?
Gloria Stivic : Oh, daddy. Mr. Davis makes his living entertaining. You’re asking him to go to work.
Mike Stivic: Yeah, Arch. How’d you like to be a guest in somebody’s house, and they say, “C’mon Arch, do some packing and lifting for us”?

I suspect Beyoncé and most celebs understand this very well. If she was just Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter the Harris campaign wouldn’t care who she was. But she’s not, she’s Beyoncé! If the Kamala Harris campaign wants Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter to show up at a rally and say a few words of introduction for her in her home town no problem. But to paraphrase Robert Stacy McCain: Beyoncé sings for MONEY, and that makes it business.

So if Kamala of the 1 billion dollar election war chest wants Beyoncé the singer to sing, or to use the relevant word WORK, well that’s fine but she has to meet her fee like everyone else, otherwise a few words of introduction is all she was going to get. Given the end result I suspect paying for a song or two would have been worth every penny.

It’s not personal, it’s strictly business

Kamala Harris is complete non-entity.  There is no substance to her at all.  Despite this she is the most dangerous person to ever seek the presidency.  She is dangerous because she serves as the front man for very dangerous people.  She is merely a ventriloquist dummy for rabid Marxists.

One of the central pillars of Marxism is the belief that individuals do not matter.  All individuals are completely subservient to the collective group, whether it be a race, a religion, or a nation.  The needs of the many always outweigh the needs individuals.  In a collectivists society individuals are always nothing more than sacrificial lambs.  In the 20th century 100 million individuals were murdered by collectivist regimes.  All collectivist societies deteriorate into totalitarianism, where individuals are nothing more than chattel.

The Democratic Party has been completely taken over by devoted collectivists. All forms of Cultural Marxism which have been crammed down the throats of all Americans, by so called Progressives, is pure collectivism.  These collectivist policies include abortion, transgenderism, progressive tax schemes, vax mandates, lockdowns, forced masking, everything else.

Collectivists believe that only they are smart enough to make decisions for the masses.  Individuals have no right to make decisions for themselves.

If Kamala wins the presidency, or steals it like Joe Biden stole the presidency in 2020 she will complete the transformation of the United States into a collectivist totalitarian hellhole.

Donald Trump’s record on individualism is not perfect, however, it is far superior to that of any Democrat, especially Kamala Harris.  When he was president, Trump reversed many collectivist policies of previous Democrat administrations.  If he wins in two weeks he will continue to do so.  He will swing the pendulum well back towards the direction of individualism.

Right now Kamala Harris is imploding like a bad soufflé and the left is so panicked that in at least two states we have DEMOCRAT candidates for the US senate in swing state running ads bragging that they bucked Joe Biden and supported Donald Trump on key issues.

This is part of the “every man for himself” stage in a game when you aren’t coming back and the starters pull themselves from the game to avoid injury in a game that is lost.

Cripes even Bill Mahar who predicted a Kamala win is panicking.

And that’s what makes me worried.

I’ve talked a lot over the years about the one election that Lyndon Johnson ever lost when he was ahead on election night and with his Senate lead seemingly in the bad let his guard down and allowed his key districts to report, letting his opponents know just how many votes to steal and four days later pulling ahead as counts from remote areas that were expected to go for one of the other three candidates in the race all suddenly went strong for Pappy O’Daniel.

In other words Johnson relaxed before the game was over and he lost.

And that brings us to today.

I know Kamala is imploding, I know we are rapidly getting to the “too big to rig” stage, I know that short another better aimed assassin bullet Trump is going to rally after rally to get the base charged.

But if we let our guard down and not show up on election day figuring it’s in the bag, if we stop being vigilant about potential voter fraud, if the Trump team doesn’t make sure their legal teams in Nevada, Arizona, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Georgia are not on the ball and ready to act the moment the left tries anything bad things can happen.

And God help us if the big GOP districts feeling their oats report early in swing states and let the other side know how many votes they need to steal to win.

It’s looking a lot like a Trump landslide but it looked pretty good in 2020 where the left stole an election when we let them.

Let’s be vigilant and not let them.
