Mika looks like she is going to throw up.  Joe can’t believe it, you’d never know he was a republican, and Jon “I ran Newsweek so well that it sold for less than a Whopper Jr.” Meacham is now re-evaluating Barack Obama.

Well you know Jon as a wise woman once said.

“If you say someone is qualified when they are not you lose credibility!”

But hey who knew that Obama might not be all that he seemed to be.

Well maybe they could change the subject to something like Helen Thomas’ latest rant. Or did that actually happen? I see a memeorandum thread and Michael Totten

She’s right that no American would tolerate white-only roads. Israelis, likewise, would never tolerate roads for Jews only. That’s why such roads don’t exist.

The roads she’s referring to in the West Bank are Israeli, and they’re not just for Jews. Israeli Arabs can drive on them, and so can non-Jewish foreigners, including Arab and Muslim foreigners. Palestinians were once able to drive on them but have not been allowed to do so since the second intifada, when suicide bombers used them to penetrate Tel Aviv and Jerusalem in order to massacre people.

There are also, by the way, Palestinian roads in the West Bank that Israelis can’t use.

I’d say that’s news even more so that the 60 minutes facebook piece. What do you think? Over to you guys.

Morning Joe and the “evolving” conventional wisdom on Iran

I hate conventional wisdom, because it means nothing, it is like a poll, its what some people say “everybody” thinks at a given moment.

Over the last few years we have been told that a military strike against Iran would inflame the Arab Street, how it would destabilize the entire area. How nobody would be with us. This has been the case.

Today on Morning Joe Bob Woodward and Eugene Robinson discussing WikiLeaks are saying with a straight face that OF COURSE we know that the Arab nations want us to strike at Iran and of Course, everybody already knew this.

I never cease to be amazed that our liberal friends think our attention span and our memory is so short that we don’t recall the old arguments that were once made by icons of the left.

I don’t know what is more disturbing, that they take us for such fools or that some people give these guys credibility.

Conventional Wisdom is what everybody knows is true, right up to the moment when it is not.

Question: How much does the media, particularly MSNBC hate Sarah Palin?

Norah O’Donnell makes a good point that President Bush’s book has a broader historical appeal but you are having the Morning Joe table talk up Jeb Bush and the Bush family in order to favorably compare them to Sarah Palin.

I am an unabashed fan of George W. Bush and will likely get his book sometime next year along with Palin’s 2nd book as my situation improves but to see this kind of stuff on MSNBC speaks volumes, I know president Obama’s performance has really boosted President Bush number in comparison but this is a turnaround of epic proportions.

I really thought it would take a generation for attitudes about George W. to change but nothing speeds up a time-line like Palin Derangement syndrome. It is much stronger than Bush Derangement Syndrome ever was.

Forgetting the inherent Palin derangement syndrome for the moment and the fact that Palin is the only reason anyone is talking about Romney today, did I actually hear a member of the mainstream media say that sentence out-loud?

Did you support Barack Obama? Did the Entire MSNBC staff support Obama? Did the entire non-Fox media wax orgasmic over the man in 2008?

That a liberal member of the media could say that sentence without having a clue about the irony is simply priceless.

This isn’t projection, this is a twelve screen movie complex with all the Harry Potter Movies playing 24/7 With the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Gone with the wind and Titanic on the side.
