yet MSNBC is falling into the trap playing the ad again and again. They don’t get it at all.

Stacy McCain is exactly right about this

Forget the words. Just turn off the sound and look at it. The moment she flashes that first smile, the average person likes her. They can’t help it. It’s an autonomic response.

Whether “I like her” translates into “I want her to be Senator,” I can’t say. But we’ve recently elected a president whose chief politic assets are a resonant baritone voice and a vague resemblance to the Allstate man, so I think it unwise to underestimate the superficiality of voters in the Age of Image.

Morning Joe today has been playing the ad

The Morning Joe crowd is laughing their heads off. I’m sorry they have no clue. If I’m O’Donnell I’m playing the clip of them laughing at her at every rally there is. That clip of the Morning Joe team laughing at her is a fundraiser waiting to happen.

Memo to the left and MSNBC if your argument is “this person is a lunatic” the best plan is not to play an ad the screams “normal”.

memeorandum thread here

or anywhere near as popular blogger as Ace of spades.

But can some sane person explain to me why this guy has a job and I don’t?

The video and the photos that he pooh poohs are all over the net. The willingness to accept peoples numbers as stated are foolish, he beclowns himself, it doesn’t make sense….

….until you realize that he is not writing to report, he is writing to persuade, his goal is the same goal of the whole march, to convince despondent liberals and moderates who are joiners to jump on a bandwagon that has no horses. He is selling a Time Share and looking for suckers.

Hey it’s a job. He has one and I don’t so he must be doing something right.

Update: I’m no Stacy McCain but these instalanches are certainly doing my ego good. Thanks Glenn.

Update 2: Byron York nails it

What does a tired and aging movement do? It puts on a program with tired and aging leaders. Sharpton has long ago worn out his welcome among anyone beyond the hard-core Democratic base; the same is true for Jackson. The 83-year-old Belafonte’s appearance at the rally was impressive, but mostly as a vision from an earlier era. Trumka’s appeal does not go beyond the labor movement, and the young gun in the group, Van Jones, left the White House last year amid scandal. It wasn’t exactly an all-star lineup.

That’s pretty much it.

Update 3: The “Time share media” strike again

Pray Kathy enlighten us all

This was an update to my comparison post on OneNation but it is worthy of a promotion.

A commentator at the HuffPo Tunes 59 kindly linked to me using the post to refute the Huffington Post’s claims on the rally. Another commentator Kathy 001 took exception saying:

“LOL! Honey, there are more site that peddle cr@p on the internet than post actual facts. Find yourself a valid source.”

Apparently according to Kathy I am not a valid source. Perhaps Kathy can educate my sadly deceived readers:
Are you maintaining my short film from 9/12 is false and/or didn’t happen? Why or Why not?

Do you maintain that the crowd photos from Becks and One Nation are not authentic? If so why?

Do you maintain that the YouTube videos I linked are false? Do you deny the trash was left? If so why?

What is it about me that makes me a bad source? What other of my videos on youtube do you find false? Why?

My readers anxiously await enlightenment oh wise one.

You might ask why is one upset liberal at HuffPo worth a post here. Two reasons.

1. If the left is getting angry over stuff I’ve put up then I’m doing something right.

2. Think about it. The post in question is made up of simple YouTube videos and links to photos. Kathy makes a blanket pronouncement that the source is poor, why, because if people on the left actually see these photos and videos then they have to explain both the unimpressive turnout and the trash left all over the mall and the WW2 memorial. It can’t be easily explained away. Thus the cry is “Pay no attention to the man in the Fedora behind the curtain.”

This is what the left is reduced to when they no longer control the gates to information. This in a nutshell is what happens at the MSM every day <a href="A commentator at the HuffPo Tunes 59 kindly linked to me using the post to refute the Huffington Post’s claims on the rally. A commentator Kathy 001 took exception saying:”>when they ignore stories that are off message.

They are losing and they can’t handle it.

Update: This one via a Tweet by Divine moments must be phony too:

…and the news that is being reported is that democrats are gaining momentum! Morning Joe had Politico reporting this today.

However at the Hill there is a little bug in the report:

Over the past few weeks, Democrats have made steady progress in narrowing the voters enthusiasm gap with Republicans, the White House claimed Sunday.emphasis mine

Oh so this is a White House CLAIM. Based on the president giving a speech in a state that is supposed to be blue. And we are treating it as gospel?

Politico continues to play the Democratic optimism game delegating their caveats to the last three paragraphs:

“It speaks volumes about the current political landscape that Democrats in Washington are trying to seek solace in some of the bluest states in the country,” said NRSC spokesman Brian Walsh. “But even in states like California and Washington, our Republican candidates are very much within striking distance, while our candidates in Wisconsin, Connecticut and elsewhere are surging.”

Democrats also continue to face a daunting landscape in gubernatorial races and it’s a revealing sign of the difficulty of the cycle that they’re seizing on polls showing them losing, if by smaller margins, as an indicator of success.

Indeed, part of what might ultimately help Democratic gubernatorial hopefuls is that some races are so clearly beyond repair that the DGA will be able to direct resources into those where their candidates still have a path to victory.

Boy that’s what I call a reason to cheer!
