So let me get this straight:

The NYT & the MSM don’t have a problem with Doxing (that is giving out the home address of) Tucker Carlson.

The Democrats Mayors are united in demanding the President Trump not send in or remove the Department of Homeland Security in cities where they’ve been deployed protect federal property (like Portland Oregon) as they cede control of their cities to the mob:

BUT we are told by these same people that when strangers call their house to ask them who they are going to vote for, any suggestion that a large cross section of GOP voters in general and Donald Trump supporters in Particular are not being forthcoming is nonsense.

Seriously?

Don’t Be Like King Josiah

Fletch Daniels at American Thinker:

Nobody gets to sit this one out.  The cultural enforcers expect everyone to parrot their talking points publicly, to destroy all resistance, forcing dissenters to grovel in submission.  That’s the whole idea behind the “silence is violence” aggression.  Cultural violence is quite the opposite of silence; it is forcing people to say what no sane person should believe in order not to be destroyed.

Few stand against this pressure, which is why nearly all major companies and organizations have come out with quisling statements of support of the name of a vile Marxist organization like Black Lives Matter.  It’s why Hillsdale College’s response was so notable, because it was a rare exception to the rule.  (This was not surprising coming from one of the only places in America still putting up statues to honor our tremendous heritage of liberty when the cultural zeitgeist is to rip them all down and start at a Marxist Year Zero.)  Hate groups like Antifa and Black Lives Matter operate quite freely in this environment, serving as the cultural shock troops and the terrorist wing of the cultural tyrants who have taken over the Democrat party.

Consider just a few of the displays we’ve watched over the last few weeks.  A football coach had to apologize for wearing a One America News sweatshirt…in Oklahoma.  We watched as most of our senior military leaders bowed before their cultural masters.  We watched as statues of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Francis Scott Key, Theodore Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln, and even an assortment of abolitionists either were destroyed or came under attack, even as discussions of replacing the National Anthem erupted from the propaganda and activist cultural tyrants.

We watched as the weaponization of the federal bureaucracy by a U.S. president against a president of the opposite party was unveiled before our eyes to a massive shrug by the seditious media, who see it as a wonderful use of state power by their fellow leftist travelers in the bureaucracy.  They are smug in their belief that they can use their cultural power to protect the perpetrators, whom they regard as heroes.

We even watched as a sports league that caters to a conservative audience was complicit in perpetrating a crazy Jussie.  We observed an emboldened social media giant censoring the president of the United States for promising to protect Americans.

We also watched what I believe is the vilest propaganda campaign of my lifetime, when every cop in America was slandered as a racist with barely a protest.  The guardians of civil order, who put their lives on the line every day, often under unimaginably difficult circumstances, to protect their fellow Americans, are being demoralized and hounded out of service.  This has created the fertile ground for a massive increase in lawlessness that will result in a significant rise in the deaths of black Americans, showing that black lives matter not a lick to those claiming that name.

I wish I had a dollar for every American who uttered the phrase “never in my lifetime did I expect to see…” over the last few weeks.  We are living in the upside-down when patriotism is outlawed, the vilest of criminals are celebrated, and brave law enforcement officers who put their lives on the line daily are slandered as the worst of society so thoroughly that it descended into evil farce, when a kid’s show, Paw Patrol, came under attack since it is apparently racist to have a positive police character in a children’s show.

This is war, and the left is playing to win.

(…)

I’d like to see far more people vocally pushing back against the mob within their social circles.  Every person who pushes back emboldens others to do the same.

So, would I, but each person who does so has to be prepared first, and the primary area of necessary preparation is in the spiritual realm.

I know that I’m not alone in think that our country finds itself here because it has turn away from God. We have seen the results of this before; God lifts up His hand of protection and of favor just a little bit – not a total removal. And, suddenly chaos, anger, and fear seem high, wide and deep.

All I’m saying is that is we are plainly seeing the result of doing things the secular way; of raising children to hate each other and themselves. Of believing that if something isn’t perfect – like our history – that it should be eradicated.

Newsflash. Nothing in this world is perfect. Will every imperfect thing be blown up and every imperfect person be dead before the rampaging mobs figure this out?

I think that Daniels is right, action must be taken. But don’t run out there halfcocked, like that couple in St. Louis did while defending their lives and property.

They weren’t fully prepared, though they had just enough. Learn from them. (Side note: I heard that they’re Democrats, fans of Biden. After what has happen to them in the last few days — including being doxxed, I wonder if that is still so.)

Plan your rhetorical tactics and strategies. And take all your self-defense classes and whatnot for when those don’t work.

But if you act against the marauders without preparing your soul, you’re making the same mistake this country has been making for the last sixty years. You will make things worse, not better.

However, between the Wuhan pestilence and the hordes of demons er rioters, looters and mayhem-makers, it’s certain that a ton of people are talking to God already — more than was so in December 2019, at any rate.

Good.

Data: You will surrender yourself to the authorities.
Fajo: Or what? You’ll fire? Empty threat and we both know it. Why don’t you accept your fate? You will return to your chair and you will sit there. You will entertain me and you will entertain my guests. And if you do not, I will simply kill somebody else. Him, perhaps. It doesn’t matter. Their blood will be on your hands too, just like poor Varria’s. Your only alternative, Data, is to fire. Murder me. That’s all you have to do. Go ahead. Fire. If only you could feel rage over Varria’s death. If only you could feel the need for revenge, then maybe you could fire. But you’re just an android. You can’t feel anything, can you? It’s just another interesting intellectual puzzle for you. Another of life’s curiosities.
Data: I cannot permit this to continue. [He levels the disrupter at Fajo]
Fajo: Wait. Your program won’t allow you to fire. You cannot fire. No!

Star Trek The Next Generation: The Most Toys 1990

As a general rule all elections are shades of gray. While some issues like abortion are Sine Qua Non for some voters like me as a rule

This one is not.

We have seen riots in the streets, we have seen monuments of people from Grant to St. Junipo Sera defaces. We have violence and threats of violence and attempts to provoke it. We’ve seen the actual takeover of a section of a city and 30,000 people deprived of their civil rights by a Mayor and Governor more interested in defending their violent base and scoring a point against the President than defending the rights of those citizens.

And throughout it all we have seen a media do all they can to minimize deflect and deceive in order to keep these fact from the American people concerning these events, with a lot of help from big tech and those who control our social networks city.

The president put it on the line during his Tulsa speech:

If the Democrats gain power, than the rioters will be in charge and no one will be safe and no one will have control. Joe Biden is not the leader of his party. Joe Biden is a helpless puppet of the radical left, and he’s not radical left. I don’t think he knows what he is anymore, but he was never radical left, but he’s controlled by the radical left, and now he’s really controlled. His campaign staff even donated a lot of money to bail out rioters, looters and arsonists who ravaged Minneapolis. They bailed them out, they put up a lot of money to bail them out, the rioters, the looters and they were, they were the arsonists. They’ll say, “Oh, it’s terrible what he says about the people of our nation.” Maybe some of them aren’t even from our nation. The leftists try to do everything they can to stop us. Every hour of every day, including even violence and mayhem, they’ll do anything they can to stop us. Look what happened tonight. Look at what happened tonight. Law enforcement said, “Sir, they can’t be outside. It’s too dangerous.” We had a bunch of maniacs come and sort of attack our city.

That’s the stakes here. It’s impossible to pretend otherwise, the American people are in the same sport that the children of Israel were when Moses gave his final speech before his death.

Here, then, I have today set before you life and prosperity, death and doom. If you obey the commandments of the LORD, your God, which I enjoin on you today, loving him, and walking in his ways, and keeping his commandments, statutes and decrees, you will live and grow numerous, and the LORD, your God, will bless you in the land you are entering to occupy. If, however, you turn away your hearts and will not listen, but are led astray and adore and serve other gods, I tell you now that you will certainly perish; you will not have a long life on the land which you are crossing the Jordan to enter and occupy. I call heaven and earth today to witness against you: I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Choose life, then, that you and your descendants may live,

Deuteronomy 30:15-19

We know what the stakes are, but what’s more important is they are the same stakes that I saw four years ago during my initial endorsement of Donald Trump just before the GOP convention:

I think that the sight of women and gay men being beaten by leftists because they support the presumptive GOP nominee, having it happen in full sight of police ordered to do nothing AND SEEING THOSE OFFICERS CHOOSING TO LET THEM BE BEATEN means that they can not count on the authorities to obey their oaths of office if they think doing so might cost them their jobs.

Even worse than this is the obvious question it raises: If leftists are willing to resort to violence and boast about it before an election when it might hurt their ability to persuade the people to vote for them, how much more willing will they be to violently suppress their political foes when such behavior is rewarded with electoral victory by the people?

emphasis mine

Do you think that these people who have been willing to commit violence all over the country are going to be more restrained when the executive and police powers are in control of their political allies? How safe have Democrat cities been?

If the Democrats are elected you are giving your consent not to be represented by the people you elect subject to your will, you are giving your consent to be ruled by people who are willing to use thugs to keep you in line. Remember once you vote in the mob, you can’t vote them out.

This post comes from a series of Tweets I put out yesterday. If you prefer a twitter thread you can read it here. I have modified it slightly due to the different interface of a blog

If you watch the MSM you are bombard of images of protests against the police, political leaders scrambling to be the first to hit them, corporations rushing to pay “protection” money and bend the knee to those who are trying to, at best neuter and at worst destroy the police. It’s on the news, it’s on entertainment shows, it’s on sports shows you can’t escape it.

The real problem for those of us who think #bluelivesmatter & #supportthepolice is that there is very little pushback in the non virtual word to the media’s anti police narrative. Hashtags are nice but they don’t make a difference in the real world. For days the thought ran though my mind that “Somebody has to do something!” and I suspect that’s been going through a lot of people’s minds. On Wednesday it suddenly hit me that this was the wrong way of thinking.

The right way of thinking is “I have to do something.” So here is what I did.

I went to Ocean State Job lot before work for a folding chair, some markers and some poster board. Unfortunately poster board was on sale so all that was left was two loud bright green boards both torn at the bottom. I had no time to spare so I bought them.

When I got home from work at Midnight I took out one of the poster boards and on one side wrote “Support Our Local Police” and on the other side wrote “Support Our Local Fitchburg Police” and it put it back in the car

I woke up around 8 AM (I never use an alarm clock ) went to my church and had confession from my priest. Then I drove down to the municipal parking lot. took out my chair, my sign and my rosary and walked to the intersection of Main street and Putnam Street unfolded my chair and sat down with my sign facing the one way traffic going straight on main or turning on Putnam.

I was there about an hour holding with my left hand while praying a Rosary for Police with my right. A few people beeped, some walked by and said they agreed (and commented that the sign was hard to see in the bright sunlight suggesting different colors). There was none of the commotion of the BLM event of a few weeks ago. No fuss, no muss, no shaking down anyone for cash, just one man sitting down in the sun holding a sign in support of the Police.

The high point for me was when a police car drove by, slowed down on Putnam, rolled down his window and said “Thank You”.

I’d like to think that for someone who has spent the last month being told how horrible he is by moves and shakers across the land.

After I finished two twenty decade rosaries and a pair of Divine Mercy Chaplets I picked up my sign and my chair, headed back to my car and went home. No fuss, no muss, it was a pretty unremarkable hour. But it meant something.

Police officers have a thankless job. They are called when there is trouble and are expected to handle it. That means they generally deal with people at their worst because when they show up it’s because

  1. Someone is doing something bad
  2. Someone is angry or about what someone else is doing
  3. Someone is in trouble or scared
  4. Someone either just had or is in the midst of an accident or crisis

In other words a police officer generally appears at a time of maximum tension. Such situations are inherently volatile. Even a routine traffic stop can become life or death without warning.

Yet a police officer is excepted to either diffuse the situation or handle it with the appropriate amount of force needed, with the word “appropriate” to be defined after the fact.

Furthermore in such a situation whether alone or in force they are expected to stand there when people berate or disparage them or even throw objects at them. And of course there is always a camera phone ready to condemn them if they put a foot wrong.

They are always a single remark or action, away from being out of a job or in the dock it can happen in the blink of an eye. And that’s not even mentioning the risk of permanent injury or death.

That is the daily price police pay to allow our society to live outside of gang justice or vigilante justice or tribal justice. I couldn’t do it & I suspect neither could those making political hay & racking in $ attacking them.

However we’ve ceded the public argument to those seeking gain political & financial power off the backs of the men & woman who do a thankless job day in & day out that most of us couldn’t handle so we can live safe.

This can’t stand.

My little chair and sign yesterday was a tiny public response in a small city to the media juggernaut but it was noticed & appreciated by those who needed to see it.

I think if you really want to show you support the police and believe blue lives matter I’d make a sign like the one I did supporting your local police, get a chair & be seen for an hour. Maybe your town is quiet and maybe won’t be a big deal but your local #police will see it and know that no matter what narrative the media / left wants to push, there is someone who knows the job they do and thinks it’s worth it.

I submit & suggest that if you make than sign & have the courage to be seen in public for an hour, it will be make a difference to a local cop worried about where this is going & be more valuable than a hundred tweets with the hashtags #bluelivesmatter or #supportthepolice

Closing thought: I did a series of audio interviews called “Interviews with Immigrants” a while back. On one of them I spoke to a lady named Maria from the Dominican Republic. She told me the story of visiting her sister in Leominster MA and sitting alone by a pond one day when three men she didn’t know came walking by. After they went by it suddenly hit her that for the 1st time in such a situation she wasn’t afraid. That’s when she knew she wanted to live in America.

That’s what those who are trying to destroy the police want to take from us.
