On Saturday as my post Any old Twit(erer) understands what Weiner’s number mean was driving my traffic to the best day since I moved from the old blog I got an e-mail from the NY Post asking if I would be interested in submitting an opinion piece for their paper on Weinergate.

It Ran today. A peek:

In the New York of the late 1800s, Boss Tweed famously complained about Thomas Nast cartoons: Though many immigrants in the city couldn’t read, even the illiterate could understand “those damn pictures.” Rep. Anthony Weiner and his staff now face a similar problem.

Update: Rush Limbaugh linked to the Post Article today. I think that rates an OMG!

The left hates violence

Unless they lose an election that is:

Now remember the federal government doesn’t give collective bargaining rights so does that mean that Mr. Alexander is also supporting violent retaliation against the feds? Against Obama? Inquiring minds want to know.

Now the most interesting thing about this stuff is this is going up on the net, right on twitter. No attempt to hide it, spoken openly.

Why because the left counts on the media to ignore it. If you want to see the face of the left take a look at the comments left for Andrew Breitbart’s on twitter.

The reason why the internet explosion has been so bad for the left is it allows them to be seen for what they are.

Oh as for Scott Walker, well that election doesn’t count because….

Never mind that he won and that the only reason “debate” is not taking place is because the senate democrats ran away.

This is the unapologetic left. They are afraid right now because they are losing and the more afraid they get the less guarded with their speech they get.

Go and take a look at our exchange on Twitter and see what happens when his arguments fail. It is instructive.

Update: Instalanche: I would have thanked Glenn sooner but I hit the sack early.

China 2010:

A Chinese woman has been sentenced to a year in a labor camp for retweeting a Twitter post that mocked Chinese protesters who smashed Japanese products during a recent demonstration, her fiance said Thursday.

On October 17, Cheng Jianping, under the username wangyi09, added a few words to a message written by her fiance, before resending it on Twitter.

Eleven days later on the day the couple had planned to marry, Cheng’s fiance, Hua Chunhui was taken away by the police from his office in the southeastern city of Wuxi.

Well that’s horrible! It’s a good thing we live in America where the political class would never consider suppressing those who disagree with them…oh wait

SEN. JAY ROCKEFELLER (D-WV): “There’s a little bug inside of me which wants to get the FCC to say to FOX and to MSNBC: ‘Out. Off. End. Goodbye.’ It would be a big favor to political discourse; our ability to do our work here in Congress, and to the American people, to be able to talk with each other and have some faith in their government and more importantly, in their future.”

Hillbuzz nails it:

If Senator Rockefeller is so casually saying things that 20 years ago would have had him run out of town on a rail, just imagine what these nuts are saying behind closed doors in their Leftist cloisters.

Expect the media to give this the attention it deserves sometime after Joe Scarborough endorses Sarah Palin for president.

I owe Joe Scarborough an apology, mea culpa

Today while watching Morning Joe this morning he brought up the Clinton record on taxes and I put out the following tweet:

A few minutes later he mentioned how the GOP congress moved Clinton, but at the same time I noticed that my youngest had not come down for his bus, had to get him up and running. He ended up missing the bus so I had to get dressed and get him to school. On the way home I stopped at Moran Square diner (ironic as Barnicle has mentioned it more than once) had breakfast and came back home about an hour after I left totally forgetting about the tweet.

A few min ago Joe sent this tweet.

It had been several hours later so I didn’t remember what he was talking about, but after seeing the tweet and remembering he had a real point so I tweeted the following:

Normally that would do but it occurs to me the tweet was up for 4 hours uncorrected. As it was not put up in error deleting it would be altering the record and the simply mea culpa tweet is in my opinion an insufficient apology so Joe I put this post up as a formal apology and correction that you deserve and honor demands beyond a simple tweet.

My bad.

Update: Maybe Meghan McCain can use this post as a template for a bad tweet.
