Yesterday I sent out the following tweet

So what do Stephen Sanders, Rickey King III, Calvin Munerlyn, Cornelius Bruce, Kimberly McCubbin, Darrin White, Carlos Brown, Helle Jae O’Regan, Charles Edward Lewis III, Tina Louise Maldonado and Keyon Rogers have in common with each other.

Like Ahmaud Arbery all of these people are or I should say, were, members of “protected” groups, black, hispanic, women, Transgender women, yet because, their killers were did not fit the profile of the media’s desired narrative, their murders, unlike Ahmaud Arberry’s are not considered worthy of national outrage.

Cue DaTechGuy’s 3rd Law of Media Outrage:

The MSM’s elevation and continued classification of any story as Nationally Newsworthy rather than only of local interest is in direct correlation to said story’s current ability to affirm any current Democrat/Liberal/Media meme/talking point, particularly on the subject of race or sexuality.

And Stacy McCain:

A 1960s radical once said: “The issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution.” Whenever the Left seizes on some incident like the Arbery shooting, they do so to advance their agenda, and the role of supposedly “objective” journalists in assisting this project is what we need to focus on

Personally I think that a great question to those outraged over the Arberry case would be to insert any of those name I have listed above and ask why Stephen Sanders, Rickey King III, Calvin Munerlyn, Cornelius Bruce, Kimberly McCubbin, Darrin White, Carlos Brown, Helle Jae O’Regan, Charles Edward Lewis III, Tina Louise Maldonado and Keyon Rogers murders are not worthy of their attention or outrage.

And if you get sick of those names you can go here for a comprehensive list of People murdered in Baltimore or here for a comprehensive list of those murdered in LA (both searchable by race and gender) and find plenty of new one.

Alas I suspect that since these lists grow pretty fast you will have plenty of new names to add to your question by the time the media find their next shooting with the right combination of killer and victim to promote to national prominence.

Closing Thought: Can you think of words to describe a media that only considers the murders of blacks, Hispanics, transgenders and women uninteresting unless they can be someone used to attack their enemies? I can, the word is Racist and sexist!

Hear Democrats Under oath or not at all

Jedediah Tucker Ward: It’s not hypothetical to Dr. Pavel, he wrote it

Michael Grazier: So he says.

Jedediah Tucker Ward: So he says under oath

Class Action 1991

PM James Hacker: (On Phone): No, no, leave me out of it. A routine visit. (Listening) All right – a routine surprise visit. (Listening) Well, say they were invited earlier, but the NATO exercise got in the way. Now they’re not needed, they’re going anyway. (Listening) All right. Nobody knows it’s not true. Press statements aren’t delivered under oath.

One of the principles of Capitalism is the cost benefit analysis ie: Does the cost of a particular action or decision produce a sufficient benefit to make it worthwhile. It’s risk vs reward. It’s a principle that is older than the word “capitalism” itself

Which of you wishing to construct a tower does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if there is enough for its completion?  Otherwise, after laying the foundation and finding himself unable to finish the work the onlookers should laugh at him and say, ‘This one began to build but did not have the resources to finish.’

Or what king marching into battle would not first sit down and decide whether with ten thousand troops he can successfully oppose another king advancing upon him with twenty thousand troops?  But if not, while he is still far away, he will send a delegation to ask for peace terms.

Luke 14:28 -32

The revelations from the now declassified documents have taught us one thing about our Democrat friends. That while they might be big fans of socialism and even bigger fans of Feudalism (with them in the role of the Lords of the manor) when it comes to the whole “Trump conspired with Russia” business they are strictly capitalists fully in the cost benefit analysis business.

When there was the prospect of being featured on national news programs, thus increasing speaking fees, book sales or their prospects of profitable employment in various Democrat/Liberal institutions they were all in confidently declaring that there was plenty of evidence of the Trump administration colluding with Russia, that General Flynn was corrupt, and that the Obama Administration had no knowledge of FBI investigations into Flynn or Trump

But once it was a question of being under oath with the full penalty of law for perjury applicable, suddenly the story was very different. Like good capitalists they weighted the cost of lying under oath and told the truth instead

Of course since this testimony was classified and was not coming out except as leaks if at all, this did not affect the public statements given to the press or on cable networks. They figured the benefit of their lies outweighed the risk

And then, these documents were declassified.

Suddenly we discovered that these statements that the professional left were making were suddenly not the ones they were saying under oath or saying in classified meetings.

So what lesson should we take from this? What is our cost benefit capitalistic call? It’s this:

Unless a Democrat is under oath anything they say concerning Trump, or Flynn or anything else should be taken with a grain of salt.

One phrase that has been bandied about far too often during this Coronavirus crisis is “the new normal.”  It deeply disturbs me every time I hear an elected member from our government, at any level, declare that the end result of their plans for reopening our country will be a new normal.

Whenever one of our elected representatives uses that phrase they are acting like a dictator.  They are treating us like subjects rather that citizens of a Constitutional Republic.  Governor Charlie Baker of Massachusetts acted like a dictator when he declared this to be phase four of  his torturously slow plan for reopening this state:

Phase 4 will be the “New Normal” – development of vaccine and/or therapy enables resumption of new normal.

The use the phrase “new normal” as the end goal is a sign of surrender to the virus.  It is defeatist.  It is not something we Americans should ever strive for.  The only acceptable end result for any challenge facing this country is a complete return to the normal we had before the challenge began.

When a  politician declares that the end scenario of any crisis will result in a new normal they are declaring that they want to fundamentally transform this nation in some way.  It is unacceptable to us Americans that our government will unilaterally transform this nation in some way. We the people must always be the the agents of change for any change no matter how small or local.

It also bothers me greatly that phase four of the Baker plan will only commence when a vaccine or therapy enables it.  There is no guarantee when that would happen.  Until then we are stuck in phase3 which is defined as “Phase 3 will be “Vigilant” – additional industries resume operations with guidance.”   It will mean nothing but government interference,

The entire Baker plan, as unveiled on this past Monday, is as slow and arduous as I feared when I wrote last week’s article.  I’m afraid that by the time we reach the end of it the economic devastation will be quite catastrophic. We need to let Governor Baker know that his plan is way too slow.
