Porn Vs Reality A Public Service Message

The prevalence of pornography in society has reached a point where I think it’s rather important to remind people of an important difference between porn and reality:

No matter how many videos you have seen on the multitude of porn sites available on the internet suggesting a different more amorous outcome in this situation, the reality is that if your wife ever comes home and catches you having sex with your mother this is the most likely result:

 A mother and her son are facing the possibility of spending 20 years in prison after being caught having sex by the man’s wife, according to police and court documents.

Police were called to a residence on Clarendon Street on May 20 on a report of a disturbance, the responding officer reported.

When he arrived, he was greeted by a cousin of the wife of Tony L. Lavoie, 43, of Clarendon Street.

The cousin told the officer that Lavoie’s wife had called her about walking in on her husband having sex with his mother, Cheryl Lavoie, 64, of the same address, before calling 911.

This is what reality looks like, you have been warned.

Closing thought: A while back 2014 to be exact I wrote a post about the progression of the porn industry showing how the industry was going further and further toward incest as a norm (quotes within the full quote in italics)

If twenty years ago when all of the stuff I’ve written about was WAY beyond the pale, when Porn was not easily accessible to the general public at home,  a young girl actually wondered if this stuff was normal, what will young women think when they’ve been inoculated to this for a decade? Stacy McCain had it pegged:

And if the New abnormal is where it is today in 2013 where will it be in 2024?

And people wonder why the folks at Netflix still don’t see the problem with “Cuties”?

2024 is still four years away but if you go to a porn site today you will be bombarded with choices concerning mothers and sons fathers and daughters and whole family units doing stuff that would be considered the so fringe of the fringe twenty years ago that Jeffrey Epstein & Ghislaine Maxwell might have said “EWW”.

What do you think the sexual standards of the folks who grew up on this stuff are going to be like in 30 years?

Five Simple 2+2=5 Questions for Biden Voters of the Left (and one Insurance question)

I noticed this post at Stacy McCain’s site about a big time liberal Bernie Socialist voter who works in a Nursing Home in NY and is both:

  1. Angry at the democrats for the Biden/Harris Ticket as not radical enough
  2. Angry at Andrew Cuomo over his Covid response.

That reminded me of the axiom that people are always conservative about things that pertain to them. For example the elites of the left champion public schools and deride charter schools, while making sure their kids aren’t anywhere near them.

So it hit me that the best way to explain to a woke Biden voter that all of this 2+2=5 stuff that will continue to be pushed if he is elected is dangerous is to give them real life examples of where that comes into play.

So let me ask you, oh Biden/Bernie voter these questions:

  • Will you feel comfortable having your breaks fixed by a mechanic who has been taught that hydraulic force manipulation is racist western concept?
  • Will you feel comfortable getting a prescription for your medication if the person determining your dosage has been taught that 2+2=4 is a racist western concept?
  • Will you feel comfortable getting a replacement heart valve designed by someone taught that 2+2=4 is a racist western concept or put in by a surgeon who has been taught the same?

Finally:

  • If you were an insurance company would you insure any of the people or devices unless there was a clause voiding coverage if any of them worked under the assumptions taught that I listed above. I’ve listed above?

When you choose to vote Biden and surrender in the culture wars to the radical left that now runs our universities, this is what you are voting for.

A lot of people think the riots are the most dangerous thing that the Democrats are pushing but those can be beaten back, but if you lose the basic building blocks of science and engineering, your society never progresses again.

It’s your choice but if you’re going to make choice, do it with your eyes wide open.

Closing thought: I submit and suggest if we had people teaching this at the time of the creation of the TVA we would not have the Raccoon Lake Battery today:

Raccoon Mountain Lake is not your typical Tennessee Valley Authority lake. Carved out of the top of a mountain just west of Chattanooga, its purpose is to store excess energy produced by the TVA when it is generating more hydro and nuclear electricity than is being consumed. The excess energy is used to pump water uphill from the Tennessee River. During periods of peak demand, the water is sent back down, running 1,080 feet through a tunnel in the mountain and generating electricity as it returns to the river. In effect, the lake is a battery. It can generate 1.6 million kw hours of electricity per day. Here’s a time-lapse video of it filling back up after being emptied to generate electricity.

“The main thing is you’re OK” said Courtney, “We’ll watch for him.”

“Thanks Court…”, she began then pointed at the wall in disbelief. “The Door!”

“What door?” answered Pat seeing but a wall.

“You don’t see it?”

“There’s nothing there” answered Courtney.

Wildcat nodded but understood. She had not imagined The Stranger or Fr. Anastasius & knew that he was right about God’s mercy & where she could find him again.

DaTruth and DaTimes

Against the backdrop of the investigations into Russia and Ukraine, the New York Times failed to mention one of the most egregious failures about the region propagated by the news organization itself.

Fortunately, a recently released motion picture, Mr. Jones, provides the details of how DaTimes manipulated the American public about the Soviet Union and the Ukraine famine, which resulted in the deaths of millions of people.

The film, directed by Agnieszka Holland, recounts the story of Moscow bureau chief Walter Duranty, a chief propagandist for Josef Stalin, and how Welsh journalist Gareth Jones tried to unmask the gross falsehoods created by the then-venerated Times scribe.

Duranty, who won a Pulitzer Prize for his coverage of the Soviet Union in 1931, dismissed Jones’ first-hand accounts of the famine, known as the Holomodor.

Here are some excerpts from Duranty’s reports:

–New York Times, November 15, 1931: “There is no famine or actual starvation, nor is there likely to be.”

–New York Times, August 23, 1933: “Any report of a famine in Russia is today an exaggeration or malignant propaganda.”

–New York Times, December 9, 1932: “Enemies and foreign critics can say what they please. Weaklings and despondents at home may groan under the burden, but the youth and strength of the Russian people is essentially at one with the Kremlin’s program, believes it worthwhile and supports it, however hard be the sledding.”

–New York Times, May 14, 1933: “You can’t make an omelet without breaking eggs.”

At the time, Duranty was so influential that his reporting is credited for convincing FDR to establish diplomatic relations with the Soviet Union.

Although Jones and others provided extensive evidence to refute Duranty’s reporting, it wasn’t until 2003 that the Pulitzer Board and DaTimes itself finally sought outside analysis of the work.

The Pulitzer “Board determined that Mr. Duranty’s 1931 work, measured by today’s standards for foreign reporting, falls seriously short…. However, the Board concluded that there was not clear and convincing evidence of deliberate deception, the relevant standard in this case….The famine of 1932-1933 was horrific and has not received the international attention it deserves. By its decision, the Board in no way wishes to diminish the gravity of that loss. The Board extends its sympathy to Ukrainians and others in the United States and throughout the world who still mourn the suffering and deaths brought on by Josef Stalin.”

Ironically, DaTimes’ review of Mr. Jones only references Duranty in passing. At least that’s more than what DaTimes said during the recent debate over Russia and Ukraine.
