“Ah but if the case was failing & Marya was needed to secure a conviction, or extradition!

The agent face lit up: “That’s true, they’d love to get their hands on any Nazi, the spectacle would play well with their public.”

Newkirk’s winced & all present laughed till they saw a pair of smartly dressed men coming into the room. Even 30 years removed from Stalag 13 they knew agents when they saw them.

“Col Hogan, we’d like a word with you and your men.”

Hocksteader’s report was all they hoped for.

The prisoners were recorded at Klink’s camp after capture & leaving to be returned. The blaze from the underground’s attack on the supposed “rocket fuel convoy” not only eliminated the bodies but provided an excuse for the loss of those babbling idiots excusing their failure with fantastic stories.

An accident of war, no crime here.

A shame about Kant, but a small price to pay for success.

Meanwhile 50 renamed men boarded a sub as a hero returned where he came.
