On Memorial Day, Joe Biden made some very ominous statements, which were cloaked in his customary mistruths and utter gibberish.  These statements should send chills down the spines of supporter of the Second Amendment.  Once you fed the statements into a Joe Biden gibberish and lies decoder they translated into the message “we’re going to ban all guns including hand guns.”

From this quote you can see that Biden will be targeting the Democrat’s usual bugaboo ‘assault weapons.’

I know that it makes no sense to be able to purchase something that can fire up to 300 rounds.  I know it makes — and I know what happened when we had rational action before, back in — when the crime bill was — the law that got passed.  It did significantly cut down mass murders.

And so there’s only one reason for something that can fire, you know, 100 shots.

The fraudulent claim about effects of the unconstitutional assault weapons ban are debunked here.

This next statement exploded across social media and conservative news websites because it is both ominous and entirely devoid of reality.

I mean — and I’ll just conclude with this: Look, when I first started doing hearings on the issue of what rational gun laws should be, it was during a period when I was a senator and the death rate was going up.  Not that many more people were being shot, but the death rate was up.  And when I think of — I’m not sure, I think it was (inaudible) hospital in New York — whatever the largest trauma hospital is.

And I sat with a trauma doctor, and I asked him — I said, “What’s the difference?  Why are so many people…” — and not that many more people were being shot.  This is now 20 years ago, or 25 years.  I said, “Why are they dying?”  And they showed me x-rays.  He said, “A .22-caliber bullet will lodge in the lung, and we can probably get it out, may be able to get it, and save the life.  A 9mm bullet blows the lung out of the body.”

Joe Biden proved that he knows absolutely nothing about the Second Amendment and the rest of the Constitution when he made the following statement:

So the idea of these high-caliber weapons is of — there’s simply no rational basis for it in terms of thinking about self-protection, hunting.  I mean, I just — and remember, the Constitution, the Second Amendment was never absolute.  You couldn’t buy a cannon when the Second Amendment was passed.  You couldn’t go out and purchase a lot of weapons.

And those who — not many are saying it anymore, but there was a while there where people were saying that, you know, the Tree of Liberty is watered with the blood of patriots, and what we have to do is you have to be able to take on the government when they’re wrong.  Well, to do that, you need an F-15, you know?  Or you need an Abrams tank.

Joe Biden has repeated the same mistruth about the First Amendment preventing Americans in early America from owning cannons often.  Each time he uttered it he has been fact checked.

In the second paragraph of that last quote, Joe Biden shows utter contempt for the founding principles of the United States.  He spits on the graves of every founding father of the United States.  Only a petulant tyrant would threaten American citizens with tanks and fighter aircraft for simply standing up for their rights.

Our friends on the left, in between pretending Joe Biden’s presidency is a success and the economy is fine (which in fairness for the connected class that lives on graft or the very rich who have more money than they can spend it is) they keep informing us that the US will be a better place if you just put them in charge.

Well it’s now working out to good in Seattle if you are the victim of a sexual crime

Seattle police’s sexual assault and child abuse unit staff has been so depleted that it stopped assigning to detectives this year new cases with adult victims, according to an internal memo sent to interim police Chief Adrian Diaz in April.

The unit’s sergeant put her staffing crisis in stark terms.

“The community expects our agency to respond to reports of sexual violence,” Sgt. Pamela St. John wrote, “and at current staffing levels that objective is unattainable.”

What’s rather amazing is the Seattle Times point to this as a failure of the new mayor who is against the “Defund the police” business that has been pushed. Apparently electing one official who is for them hasn’t convinced potential recruits that the city has their back, meanwhile at the police stations…

The understaffing in the sexual assault unit has drained the morale of its employees, most of whom are overworked and burned out, according to a detective in the unit who requested anonymity because SPD policy prohibited them from speaking with the media. While detectives struggle to make a dent in large child abuse and sexual assault caseloads, the department has also drafted them to work security and traffic control at sporting events.

So in this case women and children are in fact the hardest hit.

Meanwhile in California they have decided to take a firm stance against school shootings…by firmly deciding that teachers should not have to report potential shooters to authorities:

The California State Senate voted Thursday to end a requirement that students who threaten violence against school officials be reported.

Before the California law was passed, existing law stated that whenever a school official is “attacked, assaulted, or physically threatened by any pupil,” staff was “required to promptly report the incident to specified law enforcement authorities.” The new bill repealed this requirement.

California passed the law just two days after an 18-year-old gunman opened fire on an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, killing two adults and 19 children.

Mind you this isn’t one city that has gone off the rails. This is the representatives of the entire state deciding this is a good idea.

I think it’s safe to say that children will be hardest hit by this one as well.

So remember the left tells you how their policies make everything better, just think who it’s making everything better for.

Unexpectedly of course

Closing thought, remember in both of these cases these cities and states did this to themselves.

Our 1970 league is now two weeks in and it’s all up in the air of course with a 162 game season. For those who were following us here are the picks from this year’s draft in our 1969 league (now1970) League to this point

Master Sergeant Roderick “Roddie” Edmonds didn’t talk about his heroism in World War II, including his actions to save hundreds of his fellow soldiers, including several hundred Jews.

Edmonds served in the 106th Infantry Division, 422nd Infantry Regiment in the United States Army. He was captured and became the ranking U.S. non-commissioned officer at the Stalag IX-A POW camp in Germany, where – at risk to his life – he saved an estimated 200-300 Jews from being singled out from the camp for Nazi persecution and possible death.

Edmonds arrived in the combat zone in December 1944, only five days before Germany launched a massive counteroffensive, the Battle of the Bulge. During the battle, on December 19, 1944, Edmonds was captured and sent to a German POW camp: Stalag IX-B. Shortly after that, he was transferred, with other enlisted personnel, to another POW camp near Ziegenhain, Germany: Stalag IX-A.

As the senior noncommissioned officer at the new camp, Edmonds was responsible for the camp’s 1,275 American POWs.

On their first day in Stalag IX-A, on January 27, 1945—as Germany’s defeat was approaching—the commandant ordered Edmonds to tell only the Jewish-American soldiers to present themselves at the next morning’s assembly so they could be separated from the other prisoners.

Instead, Edmonds ordered all 1,275 POWs to assemble outside their barracks. The German commandant rushed up to Edmonds in a fury, placed his pistol against Edmonds’s head, and demanded that he identify the Jewish soldiers under his command. Instead, Edmonds responded, “We are all Jews here.”

He told the commandant that if he wanted to shoot the Jews, he would have to kill all of the prisoners.

The commandant backed down.

After 100 days of captivity, Edmonds returned home after the war but kept the events at the POW camp to himself.

After Roddie died in 1985, Edmonds’ wife gave his son Chris some of the diaries his father had kept. Chris, a Baptist minister, began researching his story and stumbled upon a mention of the event at the POW camp. He located several Jewish soldiers his father saved, who spoke about Roddie’s heroism.

The interviews resulted in the 2019 book, No Surrender. See https://www.amazon.com/No-Surrender-Young-Readers-Extraordinary/dp/0062966170/

For his defense of Jewish servicemen at the POW camp, Edmonds, a Christian, was awarded the title “Righteous Among the Nations,” Israel’s highest award for non-Jews who risked their own lives to save Jews during the Holocaust.
