DaTechGuy Blog March 9th 2022:

The magnificent Debra Henie has penned a must read piece on the COVID vaccines and information that has come from studies and FOIA requests that prompts me to make a prediction.

Sometime over the next four years that media is going to pivot and start calling the COVID vaccines the Trump vaccines. When this happens that’s when you know the most damming information and/or side effects from the current crop of vaccines will be so apparent that it can’t be hidden from the public.

Via the Gateway Pundit Politico yesterday:

The Trump administration pressured the Food and Drug Administration, including former FDA Commissioner Stephen Hahn,to authorize unproven treatments for Covid-19 and the first Covid-19 vaccines on an accelerated timeline, according to a report released Wednesdayby Democrats on the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis.

The Democrats have little to campaign on and their latest debacle at Mar-a-Lago has not ended well for this, so it’s time to pivot on the Vaccine and blame Trump.

The Politico piece is the first shot, the sudden pivot on YouTube and the vaccines is the 2nd:

It is my opinion that these two things happening almost at once means that the Democrat’s need a new narrative and “The Trump Vaccine is a failure” is where they are heading. This is an easy sell because the number of stories of healthy people suddenly dying have become so ubiquitous that it’s not possible to hide them .

Watch the VAERS chart suddenly become newsworthy (see DatechGuy’s laws of media outrage) and the questions start being asked publicly and watch the media do it’s best to point to Donald Trump as the source of it all.

Given the left’s love of Vaccine Mandates it will be quite a trick for them to pull it off, but if the communists from 39-41 can go from being anti-nazi, to pro-nazi anti intervention (after the non aggression pact), to all in on WW 2 (once Hitler invaded the USSR) I don’t see any problem for today’s communists going from Not taking the Trump vaccine, to mandating the vaccine, to going back to the dangers of the “Trump vaccine” in the same period of time.

To steal a meme from the good folks at Instapundit:

How it started:

So it doesn’t matter that Politifact crowned “death panel” its Lie of the Year in 2009 – the phrase has staying power. It’s easy to see why: “death panel” evokes an image of faceless bureaucrats rationing health care and sentencing the elderly and the infirm to death.

Ben Cosman The Atlantic: ‘Death Panels’ Will Be Sarah Palin’s Greatest Legacy 5/30/14

How it’s going

In a recently reported horror story from The Associated Press, Alan Nichols, 61, was successfully killed after a quick one month waiting period as he was suffering from hearing loss. Nichols was an otherwise decently healthy guy, but his brother claimed he was railroaded into killing himself. Nichols’ family said that hospital staff helped him request euthanasia and pushed him to do it, a story that has been repeated many times by other disabled or sick Canadians

…Canadian federal data shows that 10,064 people died in 2021 by medically-assisted suicide, a massive 32% jump from the year before.

Douglas Blair: The Daily Signal Canada Is Euthanizing Its Sick and Poor. Welcome to World of Government Health Care. 8/24/22

I’m old enough to remember when the motto of “Do no harm” from the medical profession referred to the patient, not to the Hospital or the government’s bottom line.

I’d like to think that the folks who decided to edit the Hippocratic oath last century didn’t realize what it would do to the practice of medicine, after all you don’t lose a lot of money presuming human foolishness, but the longer I’ve lived the more I’m coming to the conclusion that this was the desired endgame, because the reality is there are only two sides in the fight vs right and wrong and I know who is in charge of the other side and there are and always have been plenty of folks who at best are his dupes or at worst are his allies.

Palin was never either.

I’ve been a Monty Python fan since I was about 9 years old and discovered them on PBS and later the Holy Grail on the CBS Late Movie, and I also deplore the FBI raid on Donald Trump as one of the most egregious things this administration and justice department have done, so far.

All that being said I don’t see why everyone seems to consider this video so funny.

Bereft of any context and meh dialogue does not comedy make.

Stacy McCain has discovered Louise Perry

Perry has taken a bold step, for a young woman who dares call herself a feminist, because modern feminism originated with just such a utopian ambition, as delineated by the schizophrenic radical Shulamith Firestone and others. Insofar as Perry rejects “ideology premised on . . . false belief,” she must question whether she is actually a feminist in any meaningful sense of that word.

The significance of Perry is not that she has figured it out, it’s that people who would not be caught dead publicly conceding that either Stacy or I have been right about this from day one might now decide they have the cover needed to summon up enough courage to publicly agree with things I suspect many of them already know.

One must walk before one runs.

One of the last people i had bet with on the result of the 2020 election who had never contacted me for payment of said be suddenly popped out of the woodwork.

In fairness to him while publicly noting he had not been paid (I had no name or account to send payment to and none had been provided) privately he was willing to excuse me from the debt. I declined his kind offer as the bet was made in good faith and I do not suspect him of being the person who fixed said election.

Some of you might wonder way I bothered to pay those bets given the fact that I still maintain not only was the election stolen but that this fact will be eventually be exposed and conceded as too many people were involved. The answer is simple. In the end like the Astros in 2017 who got a title by violating the rules and the 1985 Royals who won game seven after the most significant blown call in sports history those titles stand. Likewise the authorities who at the time could have done something choose, for whatever reason ( I suspect cowardice) to not act when they could and thus Joe Biden, rightly or wrongly was sworn in and is in fact for

I will leave it to him and the others who I paid my best to after Biden was sworn in to decide what to do when history shows the truth of the steal but that’s on them. As for me my honor is satisfied.

Finally later this year my wife will be traveling without me. She had been having hip pains when sleeping in bed so for the last two to three years she has been sleeping in a recliner and because of this I’ve been sleeping on the couch to be in the same room.

As she will not have a recliner to sleep in during her trip In preparation for she slept in our bed for the first time in years so when I came home I did the same.

I can not adequately describe the pleasure of being able to share a bed with my wife again, even if it was only for sleep. It reminds one of how fragile the simple pleasures of life can be.

Enjoy those pleasures and do not take them for granted because the day will come when they are gone forever

A few days ago I was a tad surprised to see California Governor Gavin Newsom do something sane, namely attempt to keep the remaining Nuke plant in California open:

The draft legislation — which would be attached to the state’s budget as a trailer bill — would help extend the power plant’s operations for an additional five to 10 years beyond its scheduled shutdown dates in 2024 and 2025.

The forgivable loan, if authorized, would be lent by the state’s Department of Water Resources.

Diablo Canyon — California’s last remaining nuclear power plant — generates about 8.6% of the state’s total electricity supply, according to the Governor’s Office.

Now of course I’m not a fan of a “forgivable loan” to a big Utility, which is another way of saying it’s a payout so one might dismiss this a giving in to the reality of not kneecapping the power grid while making some friends with taxpayer money at the same time but with the energy crunch in California keeping that 8.6% of the power supply up is vital even if the left has done all it can to reduce demand by chasing people away.

I figured he was being mugged by reality, but then I saw this

Gov. Gavin Newsom vetoed a bill that would have allowed pilot programs where people could use drugs under the supervision of trained staff in San Francisco, Oakland and Los Angeles, a blow to a long-fought battle to tackle the cities’ overdose crises.

In his veto letter, Newsom said he has “long supported the cutting edge of harm reduction strategies” but said the unlimited number of sites allowed by the bill “could induce a world of unintended consequences.” He did not go into detail about what those consequences could be.

John Sexton at Hotair, where I saw the story has it pegged:

It’s probably safe to assume the “unintended consequences” Newsom is most concerned about about are the ones that could damage his run for president in a couple of years. … And while “safe injections sites” are an easy call in deep blue California, the idea would be a non-starter in many states.

Now a broken clock can be right twice a day but an ultra liberal California governor making two sane decision in less than two weeks? Yeah he running in 2024
