Trump is Counting on the CNN Moderators being Themselves

One of the basic themes of the Donald Trump Campaign is summed up neatly in a simple meme that’s been around for a bit:

Given the events of the last four to eight years this is something that’s easily believable to anyone who has paid attention, but to those who:

  1. Have not paid attention
  2. Distrust or dislike Trump due to style
  3. Hate Trump with an irrational passion

The very idea that they (the left/deep state) are after us is either:

  1. Ignored or dismissed as rhetoric
  2. Disbelieved outright
  3. Considered irrelevant because their hatred of Trump justifies any action to stop him.

And that’s why Donald Trump has agreed to debate terms that no other sane man would tolerate.

You see Trump knows many of these people for what they are. For an entire lifetime they feted him, celebrated him, worked to get close to him and begged him for money. It wasn’t until he became a political threat to the left that he suddenly became a racist, or a Russian plant or anything else they started to call him (You might recall the Morning Joe crowd who are among the most vitriolic Trump haters out there celebrated and promoted him during the 2016 GOP primaries when they were convinced that if nominated he would lose and lose big). To function in big Democrat cities he had to work with a lot of them and was the sober man at every party where they were drinking and talking.

He also knows regular Americans not just from the campaign trail, but from getting to know the builders and workers who not only put up his buildings but worked in them. He knows many of them understand basic fairness and decency.

On Thursday a lot of those people who haven’t been paying attention, or distrust what he says or hate him irrationally will be watching and it’s unlike any other presidential debate that has ever existed because it’s the first time in the history of a presidential debate where BOTH CANDIDATES HAVE ALREADY BEEN PRESIDENT.

It’s not going to be about policy, all those watching know the policies that each administration pursued, it won’t even be about the economy, all those watching know what the economy is and what it was. Even a 15 year old is old enough to understand the difference between how things were five years ago and how they are now. No the question up to be answered is who can lead and who has to be led and who will give them a fair shake.

That why Trump’s campaign lady went on CNN and that’s why CNN had to censor her when she said what everyone who has paid attention knew to be true:

She did so to establish what the reality is going to be, because while a lot of people haven’t been paying attention to the election they have heard of this:

So when Trump goes before two CNN moderators who attack him and defer to Biden for 90 minutes in front of the watching world he’s counting on all those who have not been paying attention, those who disbelieve his claim of unequal treatment and those who are nevertrump at all costs to see it for what it is.

  1. The people who weren’t paying attention will see the reality, perhaps for the first time
  2. The people who distrust Trump will recognize what is happening and believe (much like the Jews of America are having their eyes opened to the left lately
  3. The “never trump at all cost” crowd will recognize it point, laugh and cheer because their hatred overrides all but perhaps even a few of them will find it a bridge too far.

They’re going to make his case for him. He’s counting on it.

And some of the stuff gets even wilder.

None of it surprises me. Why? Because when you have a group that repeatedly lies and makes things up out of the whole cloth why would they NOT go farther and farther. Remember these guys were claiming that Israel attacked themselves when their own folks livestreamed their attacks on Oct 7th.

When you’ve got a group that’s unwilling to deal with actual reality the taller the tale the faster it will spread and the angrier you can make your mob that has never gotten over the fact that a bunch of ragtag Jews were able to defeat them time and time again.

I Don’t Know Art But I Know What I Don’t Like

And that’s spending Hundreds of Millions of Dollars and putting our troops in harms way in a war zone to try to boost Biden’s increasingly poor prospects in Michigan.

The only thing more pathetic than them doing this type of “performance art” for votes is the acknowledgement or at least the assumption that their voters are stupid enough to fall for it.

The Biden Admin and whoever is paying them off has been one of the most destructive to America and Americans that I’ve seen in my lifetime, and I lived through the Carter and Johnson years.

I was reading a piece about the potential sale of the money losing Washington Post when I noticed something I had missed: (emphasis mine)

Anyone who has paid much attention to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos over the years knows that he isn’t afraid to shut down something that isn’t working. In 2015, Amazon pulled the plug on its Fire smartphone, after announcing a $170 million writedown on unsold devices. In 2019, Bezos finalized a divorce from his wife of 25 years. In 2022, Amazon announced it would close down all 68 of its brick-and-mortar bookstores and retail shops. In 2023, Amazon discontinued its Amazon Smile program that let customers direct a portion of their purchases to charity. Earlier this year, Bezos announced he was ending his residency in the state of Washington after nearly 30 years, and moving to Florida. 

“Embrace failures” is part of Amazon’s “Day 1 culture,” along with “high-velocity decision-making.” Implicit in that is recognizing when something is not working and isn’t worth keeping trying to get working, rather than indefinitely pretending that sometime in the future it will start working. 

This is how bad the difference between blue and red states are, that ultra rich ultra liberals don’t want to live in ultra blue states anymore. That old villain reality is kicking in.

On the plus side for the Washington Post CNN is doing much worse:

Throughout the week of June 10, CNN was only able to attract an average of 396,000 viewers throughout the total day.

That is astonishing.

During its dreadful primetime hours, CNN dropped below 500,000 total viewers for the week to a pathetic average of just 477,000.

This is apparently what happens when you decide to abandon straight news and decide to fight for the Nevertrump niche with MSNBC. Nolte sums up the reality nicely:

It’s one thing to cast the truth aside and revel in your Orange Man Bad hatred when the economy is booming…It’s one thing to enjoy the MSNBC and CNN lies and hoaxes aimed at the MAGAtards when the world’s at peace, gas costs $2.35 a gallon, and eggs are 99 cents a dozen…All that CNN and MSNBC insanity and dishonesty is pure entertainment when illegals aren’t flooding your city and your mortgage hasn’t doubled…

Apparently the nevertrump market can’t support both CNN & MSNBC as the niche simply isn’t big enough, darn that nasty reality!

As one person put it:

A while back I covered a hate crime hoax in the next town during the Obama years that went national until it fell apart (no apologies of course and no national coverage of the reverse). The filmmakers tried to interview Zyahna Bryant, the activist who helped rally the Left against Bettinger, UVA officials and University President James Ryan to glean their side of the story.

They all declined. Their silence speaks volumes. So does the lawsuit that gives the film a marginally happy ending.

“Demand for Hate” offers a single quote to sum it all up, courtesy of Jim Bacon from The Jefferson Council.

“There’s not enough racism to go around.”

That’s the reality, it’s also why activists end up going after No U-Turn Signs to keep things rolling.

Reality is also hitting automakers like Ford who with the Biden admin’s pushing spent a lot of money on electric car are finding that like the proverbial dog who doesn’t like the dog food people don’t want electric cars:

Slowing demand for Ford’s F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck is delaying the start of full production at the company’s new West Tennessee factory and pushing vehicle deliveries to dealers until early 2026, according to the state senator representing the community home to the new facility.

State Sen. Page Walley, a Savannah Republican, told the Lookout his understanding is that full production of the truck at the BlueOval City campus in Stanton was pushed back earlier this year by nine months from its initially scheduled full production start date.

Based on “what’s happening, with (Ford’s) read on the economy,” the company might need “a little bit longer runway” before full production takes off, Walley said. 

The real problem is that people who actually try electric cars aren’t all that enthused:

In general, more consumers are willing to consider buying an EV for their next car, with 38 percent of non-EV owners planning on buying a plug-in hybrid or full battery electric vehicle for their next purchase—a slight increase from 37 percent in 2022, according to Automotive News. Still, that dwarfs the number of Americans who will likely buy a combustion engine vehicle for their next car.  

Even more surprising was the number of EV owners who plan on going back to gas for their next car. According to McKinsey, 46 percent of EV drivers in the U.S. said they’re likely to go back to a traditional engine in their next vehicl

In a bad economy the reality of getting from one place to another trumps false green dreams.

It’s been rather funny watching the reaction of the ultra leftist “just stop oil” campaign to the anger over their defacing Stonehenge one of the key historical sites of the world.

They can’t seem to understand why people are so upset at what they did when the world as the claim is at stake:
