I’m back home from Pintastic NE 2023 the most relaxing time I’ve had in months and frankly the best Pintastic I’ve attended with one exception. I didn’t have a chance to interview Gabe at the end of the show because of time constraints, however I will be uploading and posting video daily till it’s all up. Meanwhile here is the new Godfather 50th Anniversary Pinball Machine.

The one on the left is the “cheap” one that sells for $12,500, the one on the right is the expensive version that sells for $15,000. You’ll hear more about that specific game later in the month.

There seems to be a lot of shock that Ted Lieu is objecting to the move by the governor of New Mexico to try to remove gun rights by fiat:

I’d like to give Mr. Lieu the benefit of the doubt that he actually understands that this is unconstitutional but I would not be surprised if this is more of a case of learning what Harry Reid did not, namely if your side changes the rules in one state then the other side can do the same elsewhere.

Frankly I’m less concerned if he’s doing this for selfish reasons, altruistic reasons or both as long as he’s with us in defending the constitution.

Apparently the president’s performance in Vietnam was yet another national embarrassment but frankly I’m wondering something.

For a long time Joe Biden making a fool or an ass out of himself was not newsworthy because the media didn’t want to promote or expose this fact which was a disgrace in terms of how journalism works.

I’m wondering however if we’ve actually reached a point where Joe Biden being non compos mentis is so common and so established that it’s no longer newsworthy if he acts that way, or that it will not be newsworthy until he carries himself like a normal person.

I’m sorry. I like Citizen Free Press and think it’s usually an excellent source but this a “fascinating read” Really?

Can someone tell me why anyone, particularly a conservative site is trusting a story from the NYT or Bill Kristol as a source as to what big money GOP donors are thinking concerning election 2023?

Finally today is 9/11 and as a child of Depression era parents and the son of a father who served in the Pacific in World War 2 I find myself more and more frustrated on this day.

I hate that we didn’t rebuild the towers twice as big.

I hate that we didn’t finish the job with Iran when we had armies to the east and west of Iran and a navy to the south.

I hate that we didn’t do in Iraq what we did in Germany and Japan, namely stay till they were no longer a threat even if it took half a century. If we weren’t going to do the job right why go in?

But all those things that I hate are a function of what the country and the culture has become helped on by enemies who figured out it’s cheaper and smarter to spend their money on pols and academics that you can buy and use for decades rather than weapons that can be destroyed or go obsolete.

All of these things were choices made by us as a nation, just as our decline has been a choice. That’s the worst part of it all.

On the bright side today is the birthday of one of my nephews that I’m closest to so while 9/11 is a day of infamy on the day and shame pondering our response nationally personally I’m glad to have this fine fellow in my family so happy birthday and many more.

Apparently Hurricane Hillary caused flooding at Dodger Stadium an excellent reminder that while God promised not to end the world by flood he gave no such assurances for Chavez Ravine.

Might I suggest that LA operate a program to make sure there are at least 10 faithful devout Catholics in the city at all times (Any Biden or Pelosi doesn’t count).

Speaking of Faithful Catholics it’s nice to know I have one for my Bishop:

The Diocese of Worcester, which is about 45 miles west of Boston, announced last week that Bishop Robert McManus earlier this summer approved a policy titled “Catholic Education and the Human Person” for all schools under its jurisdiction starting this fall.

The policy states: “Pope Francis has repeatedly stressed the importance of a proper understanding of our sexuality, warning of the challenge posed by ‘the various forms of an ideology of gender that denies the difference and reciprocity in nature of a man and a woman and envisages a society without sexual differences.’” …

Students under the policy are expected to act according to their biological sex, including in school sports, uniforms and locker rooms.

He’s going to catch hell here in Massachusetts but he’ll help avoid hell both for himself and those under his charge.

Donald Trump has announced that he will not just be skipping one debate but won’t be attending ANY debates with his GOP rivals.

While many say this is a sound decision as he will not be challenged on things like Fauci (which DeSantis et/al will eat him alive on) the problem here is that if he doesn’t absolutely wipe out his opponents fast then any decision to debate later will look like desperation.

Trump has a pretty good record as president and he should be spending every single day comparing the Trump years to the Biden years. I think making that point bluntly on stage with the rest of the GOP candidates on stage is a winner for him.

If even half of what is being said about the Ukrainian war on the Tucker Carlson show is true the disaster that this war is going to produce is horrifying.

This is yet another cost of the stolen election in the US. If this was Trump’s 2nd term Russia would not be in Ukraine today, but then again lots of elites would not have the graft they have made off of this war.

Cowardice in not stopping the steal has incredible costs and will continue to cost more.

It has taken less than a week for the governor of Hawaii to blame the fires in Maui on climate change.

What’s really amazing about this is that compared to Biden words in Maui he sounds sane.

But the craziest thing about it all is that I suspect when November 2024 comes along Hawaii will still vote for the left because they’re rather risk being burned out of house and home than vote for a republican or even worse a conservative.

Andrew: most of us go through life with blinders on, madam. Knowing only that one little station to which we were born. But now you, madam, on the other hand, had the… rare privilege of escaping your bonds for just a spell. To see life from an entirely new perspective. How you choose to use that information, madam… is entirely up to you.

Overboard 1987

At Hot Air David Strom bluntly says it aloud:

In less than 1 week the administration has shredded the already tattered reputation of the Justice Department.

  • Last Wednesday a US Attorney tried to convince a judge to give what amounted to a plenary pardon to Hunter Biden for all crimes he had committed in the past.
  • On Thursday Donald Trump was indicted yet again.
  • Then Sam Bankman-Fried was let off the hook for funneling $90 million of stolen funds into the pockets of Democrats.
  • Then the Justice Department demanded a judge jail a whistleblower who has revealed that Joe Biden was deeply involved in Hunter Biden’s influence peddling.
  • Then the FBI reveals it contracted illegally with a spyware firm…
  • And on Tuesday Donald Trump got indicted yet again.

As I said, they aren’t even trying to pretend they are anything but corrupt tyrants who are convinced they can get away with anything they want to.

The infuriating thing is that they are right.

You see for a long time the deep state has been slowly boiling the frog in America and slowly moving toward a uniparty neo-feudal system whereby the connected in the world may do all (read Epstein & his clients) slowly but surely they were moving things. Their great advance was in the Obama years when under the dazzling light of the chosen one many foot soldiers of their cause found their way into government service.

The election of Trump so shook these people and his potential re-election shook them even further. In normal times they would have just put things on slow motion and waited for the worm to turn but he shook them to the point where they went all out to destroy him fearing all would be exposed and ruined.

The irony of course is they misread him. If they allowed him to accomplish what he wanted and helped a little they could have taken partial credit and then once the eight years were up continued on their path without any loud noises of warning. Instead by going all out they frankly caused all of these things to come out in the open and exposed who and what they are to the American people. Why if it hadn’t been for Trump people would still think Merrick Garland was a squishy moderate.

The real gift of Trump has been to bring all of this out in the open. That is the key. Now none of it is hidden and we as a society must decide which path we take.

Without Trump we don’t get this choice, may it be a wise one because the fate we choose will be the one we deserve.

Closing thought: I’d like to remind everyone that

Rejecting the left’s attempt to subvert justice and the electoral process

and

Deciding someone other than Trump would be the best GOP nominee

are not mutually exclusive.

…the only reason you know about it is because it was first thought that this “white powder” was some sort of anthrax like attack threatening the White House that might be blamed on conservatives. This is why you had the whole hasmat treatment.

It was the result of that scare that this white power was determined to be coke and the troubles for the White House and the impossibility of actually answering a simple question became the issue.

Let’s be blunt the cocaine in the Whitehouse isn’t a crisis to this administration, I suspect this administration has had plenty of drugs in this place over the last two plus years and that those folks have known about this just like they knew about Weinstein and Epstein and like Weinstein and Epstein only became a crisis when it was publicly known and could not be credibly denied.
