Update: $50 was diverted from the Pa-12 by the consent of the payee $830 left!

Since I haven’t gotten any takers yet for the Have Fedora will Travel stuff I’m figuring that if you readers might be interested in some original reporting I am proposing a trip to the Georgia 4th district to expand on the interview I did with Liz Carter. (more…)

As of today (March 15), my total hits this year have surpassed my total hits for the entire previous year.

There are a lot of people to thank for this, most notability Robert Stacy McCain whose support really put me on the map, to Glenn Reynolds who has been kind enough to instalanche me on a monthly basis this year and the various people who have allowed me to interview them over the last two months.

But the greatest debt of gratitude is to you the readers who have given me the pleasure and the privilege of your time (and in some cases your funds).

I don’t know if my blog venture will meet with success or failure but whatever the final result it has been and continues to be a pleasure to have you visit my small part of the blogosphere.

…But I will be appearing as a guest at the Conservative Forum of the Commonwealth on March 16 (Next Tuesday) in Leominster to talk about CPAC and my experiences there.

If you are a conservative in central Massachusetts and have Tuesday night free come on down have a bite to eat and meet with your fellow conservatives.

Tuesday, March 16, 7:30 p.m.

Hope to see you there.

Of course he is a member of the Axis of Fedora (in fact a charter member and he wore the Same Fedora at the Scott Brown victory party that got Smitty into GQ. So he knows the power of the Fedora:

You know that lazy SOB in your newsroom? No, not him . . . the other one. Okay, the other other one. Why not replace him and save your paper some dough in the process.

I knew there was a reason why I bought his book on Friday.

You haven’t bought his book yet? You should, he is nice guy. A scholar who can both quote Dante in Italian and write as blunt as a sailor in a tavern after his ship pays off. The man who can produce this reaction from my wife, and this reaction from his Co-blogger that I met at CPAC:

thinking of Dan, and really hope he’s going to be okay. Cannot really have fun until he is better.

When a young woman enjoying her first CPAC final thought is for the health of her friend and co-blogger that co-blogger must be special.

If a guy like that isn’t worth the price of a book I’d like to know what is?
