Mr Huckabee, I’m sure you are a very nice man in person and I’m sure you treat your family very well, I could certainly use weight loss tips from you, and I suspect I might like you if I met you…

but how DARE you sir!

J.C. Watts had the line of the century so far.

And what followed didn’t endear him to the teachers unions I’m telling you.

Unfortunately I started filming directly afterwords, what a dope I am.

Jihad event and sure enough by an odd turn of events I ended up getting in the door 30 minutes late.

After seeing it I’m convinced my original thought was correct. This is the single most important issue facing this nation and if it is ignored we will suffer for it and deservedly so. I can’t say enough about the courage and dedication of Ms. Geller. She is an international treasure!

Two words about Amazon.com

First I want to give them a shout out concerning Amazon Prime.

Not for the service itself per-se I only signed up for the trial because my son needed a particular book for a college class and it would not have been here in time without it (and it turned out to be $10 below the college bookstore) but because it of the way it handles what follows.

Most places have the “if you want to continue do nothing and we’ll bill you”, on the hopes that you will forget. To its credit Amazon allows you the chance to set up the trial where it automatically doesn’t renew.

That will cost them $79 of my money that they might have gotten if I had forgotten (HA!) but it will certainly earn kudos that will last and have been made public.

Secondly I got my Vine list yesterday in the middle of the conference, totally forgot about it and to my shock there were two books I wanted on it and managed to grab. With prime they will be waiting for me when I get back. Still haven’t finished the one I brought with me, too much to do.

But right now with money tight that vine program helps to keep me in a least a book or two a month. Makes a big difference.
