Podcast Checkmate 8.7 Million Views Worth (Really 11 Million)

As of this writing (7:45 AM) the Joe Rogan Experience podcast with Donald Trump which dropped late last night has 8.7 million views.

This is extraordinary when you consider the following:

  1. The podcast runs almost 3 hours (2:58:50)
  2. Trump has been around for a very long time
  3. It’s been less than a half a day and overnight for a lot of those in the east

What are people who are watching the podcast seeing? A conversation lasting three hours. A rational conversation on all kinds of topics, from the great flip flops of the celebs who embraced Trump for decades up until the point where he was considerer a threat to the power of the left to boxing and MMF. The type of conversation that regular people might have. The type of conversation that gives you a pretty good picture of who a person actually is.

In other words the type of conversation that the media:

  1. Doesn’t dare have about Donald Trump because it would destroy their false negative narrative
  2. Doesn’t dare have with Kamala Harris because it would destroy their false positive narrative

Ironically after three hours with Rogan Trump went off to a rally that night, so much for the “tired” and “ducking” business.

Here is the whole thing:

There was some talk on COVID and the vaccines which is actually a weakness for Trump (but not in contrast to Harris/Biden) and the conversation on some Trump supporters being nervous about RFK’s role in the administration was interesting and groundbreaking. There was some real news broken there which is why it’s worth your time.

There was an early report that youtube was censoring the link but Rogan himself noted that there had been a tech issue that was resolved by delisting and then relisting the podcast. Frankly as a person who is still banned by Youtube it’s nice to see them not censoring this.

Rogan expressed an interest in having Harris on but apparently the sticking point was Harris teams’ insistence on making some topics off limits while Trump agreed to no limits on topics.

Of course if the crash and burn continues the campaign may change it’s mind figuring like a Hockey team pulling their goalie when down 5 with 2 minutes to go. What have you got to lose?

But Trump wasn’t the only one who was on a major podcast. JD Vance appeared on the Theo Von podcast for two hours

What is really interesting has been the feedback from so many of the over 2 million who watched the podcast who have been told by the media that Vance was “odd” or “weird” or “strange” and after seeing him for two hours found him the most normal guy in the room.

Read the comments to the podcast it’s shattering to the narrative that people have put out there on Vance and an excellent reminder that the BS the media sold during the time they hid Joe Biden cognitive decline is not the only lie that they have been pushing.

This is the type of thing people watch on their own, the media can’t hide or counter it and it’s the type of things that changes votes.

These two podcasts are the ultimate expression of bypassing the narrative and going directly to the people letting voters who wish to see people as they actually are. This is the ultimate expression of the 1st amendment.

The media will try to avoid these podcasts. I can hear them now:

This is an emergency. Media must be believed and obeyed! No one on the country believes in Trump/Vance Podcasts! There is no such thing as Trump/Vance Podcasts! Trump/Vance Podcast do not exist! THERE ARE NO PODCASTS!

Presidential election warning from Chicago: Media malpractice gave the city its failed leftist mayor, Brandon Johnson

Last year’s mayoral election in Chicago presents a media deja vu moment with national implications.

Yes, I’m talking about Kamala Harris.

Brandon Johnson, an organizer for the far-left Chicago Teachers Union while serving as member of the Cook County commissioner–a rubber stamp body controlled by board president, Toni Preckwinkle, a leftist like Johnson.

Paul Vallas, a centrist Democrat, ran a wonky white-paper dominated campaign that was centered on hiring more police officers and prosecuting more misdemeanors. He lost. 

Johnson campaigned largely on platitudes. His political career is a creation of the Chicago Teachers Union, and aggressive campaigning by the CTU, including door to door work, identifying Johnson’s supporters, and getting them to the polls, pushed “Branjo” over the top. 

Republicans? Are we doing that? 

Back to my point.

As a commissioner, Johnson could only point one accomplishment in office, the non-binding “Justice for Black Lives” resolution that passed in 2020, which called for diverting funds from law enforcement to social services.

The extreme left loves symbolism. It also hates the police.

Also in 2020, Johnson said of the Defund the Police movement that it was “not a slogan, it’s an actual real political goal.”

Chicago’s mainstream media, Fran Spielman of the Chicago Sun-Times is a notable exception, are compliant lapdogs for the left. If at all, they barely challenged Branjo on his thin resume and his far-left beliefs.

Before the first round of voting for mayor, Johnson was asked about his support of Defund the Police and cutting law enforcement, Johnson flippantly replied, “Ask better questions.”

Finally, at a law enforcement forum before the second round of balloting, Johnson was asked about his backing of the Defund movement. “I said it was a political goal,” Johnson replied, “I never said it was mine.”

So the media, even though crime was the biggest issue of the 2023 Chicago mayoral campaign, dropped the Defund issue. 

The Chicago media barely vetted Johnson. Just as the national media didn’t do so on Joe Biden’s senility in 2020–and it all but ignored Hunter Biden laptop story. A year later, the national media elite is ignoring or minimizing the far-left political position of Kamala Harris, and her politically convenient flip-flops on them.

Last week, in her weekly podcast, the aforementioned Spielman interviewed centrist Chicago alderman Brendan Reilly, who supported Vallas in last year’s election.

Reilly, who may be candidate for mayor in 2027, said that Johnson was en route to becoming a “one-termer” who was “woefully unprepared” to lead America’s third-largest city, and a mayor who is a beholden to the “radical left.”

Johnson, who has blamed Richard M. Nixon for Chicago’s violence epidemic, is rumored to have suffered from panic attacks. The mayor regularly points his finger at white supremacy when his discussing city’s many ills.

The warning signs were there on Johnson for anyone who did some digging. But the Chicago media barely reported on them. Last week, a Fox Chicago reporter revealed that his City Hall staffer in charge of working with City Council and state legislators to advance the mayor’s agenda, Kennedy Bartley, made vile anti-police comments in a 2021 podcast, including calling law enforcement officers “f*cking pigs.”

This is Johnson’s inner circle. The mayor has resisted calls to fire Bartley.

As for crime, while Johnson has not defunded the police, his choice as police superintendant, Larry Snelling, says the CPD is short nearly 2,000 officers. 

Chicago faces a $220 million budget deficit for this year and a nearly $1 billion for 2025. In response, Branjo announced a hiring freeze, but two days later, he exempted the fire and police departments from that freeze. 

Crime is still sky high since Johnson took over. Murders are down, but only a little bit.

Johnson has driven the Chicago train off the rails. Ironically–and the Chicago media ignores this other story–the mayor has a massive polite detail, said to number anywhere from 125-150 cops. Johnson clearly doesn’t want to defund his police protection.

Back to Harris. 

Will the mainstream media drop its biases and finally vet the vice president?

Or will they wait, until a year or so after she’s sworn in, when another “woefully unprepared” office holder, one who is beholden to “the radical left,” fails again, for so-called journalists to finally sound the alarm about Harris? Maybe not. The media was all-in on Biden until his cognitive decline couldn’t be explained away after his June debate with Donald Trump.

Biden, whose mind was clearly slipping in 2020, is arguably a tool of the far-left. 

Will Harris, arguably an intellectual lightweight, end up in the same position if she wins the presidency?

James O’Keefe Strikes Again DaTechGuy’s 4th Law of Media Outrage in Effect

Is there anything at all about the Democrats that is real?

There was a time in America where James O’Keefe would be the most feared, respected and award winning journalist there is, where journalism students would aspire to be him.

Well he does remain feared to wit:

Now the question becomes why make these PAC donation from someone who didn’t make them? The logical answer is to hide who they ARE from (or to create the illusion of a more “diverse” donor base) but whatever the reason the MSM doesn’t find it newsworthy.

This is of course in accordance with DaTechGuy’s 4th Law of Media Outrage which states:

The degree of media exposure of the corruption or illegality committed by any individual or organization under investigation is directly proportional to its distance from the media’s ideology.

Alas the days where Perry White was the standard of editorial decisions on running a story are long gone.

To beat the Democrats, we must destroy the media first

I’ve been a conservative blogger for nearly two decades. And it’s just occurred to me that we’ve been advancing our cause the wrong way for many years.

Our side supports smaller government–but a strong and vigorous military and law enforcement apparatus–as well as lower taxes, fewer regulations, and enabling vigorous free speech. The leftists–call them liberals or progressives if you prefer–are on the opposite side of those issues. 

So why aren’t we winning more?

Because the leftists, with a few exceptions such as Fox News and talk radio, has the media on their side.

Attacks on prominent Democrat politicians, such as Hillary Clinton, sometimes succeed. But Clinton, a thoroughly unlikable person with the charm of a rattlesnake, was easy prey. Not even the mainstream media trusted her. 

Let’s move on to Joe Biden. Until cognitive decline became apparent in Biden to open-minded people–that was sometime around 2019–the progressive media juggernaut didn’t care much for the corrupt Delaware fabulist. But word trickled out that what was left of his mind was turning into Play-Doh. And trusted leftists such as Susan Rice and Anita Dunn were at his side to mold that putty into another Bernie Sanders, albeit someone less scary than the Vermont socialist.

And the leftist media, led by the New York Times and the Washington Post, went into prevent defense mode, first to assist Biden to outmaneuver Sanders and win the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, then to run cover as Biden, using the COVID-19 hysteria as an excuse, as the cognitively declining Biden campaigned for the White House from the basement of his Delaware home.

And the media, Pravda-like, protected Biden after the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan–remember the embarrassingly wrong USA Today fact check?–as well as minimizing the effects of the supply chain crisis, inflation, recession, and of course Biden’s accelerating descent into senility.

As long as Play-Doh Brain Biden played along and didn’t appear too horrible in public, the media shielded him. 

And then for a few weeks this summer, the media remembered they were journalists. With tens of millions of Americans watching–Biden’s cognitive decline was on full display during his disastrous debate in June with Donald Trump. 

Biden was no use to the media mob anymore. So, they all but “granny dumped” him as they told their audience, finally, that Biden’s mind was goo. Then Brutus-like, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Barack Obama finished him off. 

Et tu, Kamala Harris? Probably.

Of course, Harris, the vice president, is now the Democrat nominee. And with rare exceptions, such as Harris’ call for Soviet-style price controls, they’re back to protecting the head of their Democratic Party.

I’m being overly generous in this article but think of whoever is the Democratic president or its presidential nominee as Superman. And look at the media as the Dems’ secret power. Well, it is for low-information voters. They’re the ones who not only don’t know who their state representative is, they don’t even know there is a legislature in their state and the other 49. But these low-information voters reliably fall for the establishment media lies–even if encountering their lies is nothing more than seeing a Facebook headline on their smartphone.

Take away that secret power, the media, and that will be the end of the Democratic Party as a national political force.

I touched on this issue in my post here last week, Journalists should be forced to wear clown suits. Cancel your subscriptions to their publications. If you absolutely need to read an article from, let’s say, the Chicago Tribune or the Washington Post, for laughs perhaps, you can often find those same pieces on MSN or Yahoo for free.

And challenge the leftist media propagandists on social media. Break them while forcing their employers to go broke. They’re not earning an honest living. They’re propagandists–not journalists.

While breaking the media, you may gain friends and admirers.

And you may save our nation.

No more Mr. Nice Guy.

Make them squirm.
