Just before I went to Blogcon I said this about Bill Hudak:

Hudak is an excellent speaker who did something that instantly made me like him. He started to run MONTHS before Scott Brown was elected and way before anyone thought the democrats were in trouble.

One of the advantages of standing up and fighting rather than tamely giving up is you get the chance to take advantage of stuff like this:

The wife of US Representative John F. Tierney is poised to plead guilty tomorrow to federal tax charges for managing a bank account that her brother allegedly used to deposit millions of dollars in illegal gambling profits he raked in from an offshore sports betting operation in Antigua.

Patrice Tierney, 59, who is married to the Salem Democrat, is charged with four counts of aiding and abetting the filing of false tax returns by her brother, Robert Eremian, of St. John’s, Antigua.

Bill Hudak’s internal polls already showed Tierney below 50% (bad news for an incumbent, incredible for a dem in Massachusetts) He’s been running hard and the media has been hitting him for a while but even places like the Globe are now see trouble:

You can crow all you want about some kooky yard sign of the president in a turban or whatever but this is a bit more serious to the tune of, oh, seven million dollars. Hudak may be painted as a wing nut – and rightfully so – but he doesn’t have any immediate ties to serious law breaking like this. Keep it mind that Tierney voted against the internet gambling ban while all of this was going on.

For the Globe that’s practically an endorsement

My film of Hudak is here

If there was ever a time to kick in for him on ma-6 it’s now.

I still say at least 3 seats in this state will turn this election. The NYT thinks that’s impossible so I feel really good about it.

Two update concerning DaTechGuy on DaRadio

#1 Regular Guest Status on WCRN’s Conservatively Speaking Saturday’s 7-9 p.m.

Starting this week I will become a Pseudo-regular on Conservatively Speaking (4th banana).

As 4th Banana my involvement will be much more limited than John & Co but it will be regular baring family events, Christmas open houses etc… So to all my readers nationwide I say give a listen to WCRN Saturdays 7-9 p.m. and give us a call.

#2 The Axis of Fedora Hour

I have a meeting scheduled Thursday Morning to confirm and finalize details for the Axis of Fedora Hour (or DaTechGuy on DaRadio or whatever we call it) It is unclear if it would directly follow conservatively speaking or be on later in the evening 10 or 11 p.m. but all signs look good right now.

I hope to be able to announce a start date by the end of the week.

…or anywhere near as popular blogger as Ace of spades.

But can some sane person explain to me why this guy has a job and I don’t?

The video and the photos that he pooh poohs are all over the net. The willingness to accept peoples numbers as stated are foolish, he beclowns himself, it doesn’t make sense….

….until you realize that he is not writing to report, he is writing to persuade, his goal is the same goal of the whole march, to convince despondent liberals and moderates who are joiners to jump on a bandwagon that has no horses. He is selling a Time Share and looking for suckers.

Hey it’s a job. He has one and I don’t so he must be doing something right.

Update: I’m no Stacy McCain but these instalanches are certainly doing my ego good. Thanks Glenn.

Update 2: Byron York nails it

What does a tired and aging movement do? It puts on a program with tired and aging leaders. Sharpton has long ago worn out his welcome among anyone beyond the hard-core Democratic base; the same is true for Jackson. The 83-year-old Belafonte’s appearance at the rally was impressive, but mostly as a vision from an earlier era. Trumka’s appeal does not go beyond the labor movement, and the young gun in the group, Van Jones, left the White House last year amid scandal. It wasn’t exactly an all-star lineup.

That’s pretty much it.

Update 3: The “Time share media” strike again

After Glenn put up his I told you so post he notes something significant:

Now why should some professor in Knoxville be able to determine what our national reporters in Washington and New York City could not?

Do we not pay these people — through the extra pennies we pay on a product for advertisements — to know these things?

I think it’s not just a question of paying attention, it’s all about what you choose to report.

The MSM hasn’t chosen to report the failure of the One Nation rally. They haven’t chosen to show the trash photos or the comparison shots of the crowd. They didn’t choose to report on the DOJ scandal or Van Jones et/al.

Yet a vast amount of Americans knew because of social media. The MSM were irrelevant because they came late to a story that was already told in e-mail boxes, tweets and facebook pages worldwide.

Goliath might not be paying attention but it could be because Goliath would rather be ignorant about a fact they don’t want to acknowledge.

One might survive in a niche market but if your business is information and analysis and you are being scooped by people in the street you’d better look for another business pronto.

Update: Along those same lines I wonder if the Torrance Daily Breeze will find this story newsworthy?

California Democrat Rep. Jane Harman’s family business is laying off American workers – including engineering employees in California — and shifting jobs overseas.

If history is the judge I wouldn’t bet on the breeze
