Tim Kaine is complementing Obama profusely but Barnicle and Mika are both saying its all talk and even Katrina vanden Heuvel isn’t going much for the talk.

Katrina gives tribute to Howard Zinn who died yesterday. They say if you can’t say something good about a person who has just died you should say nothing at all.

I have nothing to say about Howard Zinn TODAY except that he would consider Annie DiMartino’s opinion of America expressed here delusional.

Watch from :38 to about 1:10 it is a love letter to the country.

Annie DiMartino and I are on the opposite sides of the political fence, but on they day she dies I’ll have a lot to say about her.

RSM and the Jammie Waving Fool are less shy concerning Zinn.

Why? Because we already KNOW that the president is capable of giving a prepared speech in front of the teleprompter and sounding like he means what he says.

I’m sure it was full of fine phrases and promises from Don’t ask don’t tell to budget considerations, but he seems either unwilling or uninterested in doing the work of leading and pushing legislation.

If there is one thing I’ve learned about Barack Obama in one year it is to ignore what he says and watch what he does. He strikes me as a weak man who has a feeling of entitlement about him (Why it’s Martha Coakley!) so we will see what he does.

I have a job interview this morning and a repair for a friend this afternoon, so blogging might be sportatic but I’ll check online to see what people actual thought of it.

Update: I see SoS Clinton is with me.

O’Keefe not withstanding, A million members of the left must be going Kryten today.

Fox is the most trusted television news network in the country, according to a new poll out Tuesday.

A Public Policy Polling nationwide survey of 1,151 registered voters Jan. 18-19 found that 49 percent of Americans trusted Fox News, 10 percentage points more than any other network.

Thirty-seven percent said they didn’t trust Fox, also the lowest level of distrust that any of the networks recorded.

There is some serious gloating going on

Meanwhile on the left: disbelief and resignation.

I used to get upset about this sort of thing, but now? Pft. Whatever.

Couple this with a new influx of corporate cash into political advertising and… well hey, democracy was nice while it lasted.

Boom!

Just remember this would not have been possible without the long term cooperation of the MSM. Acorn videos, Van Jones, Tea Parties, “Racism”, Ken Gladney, Anita Dunn, Kevin Jennings, ¿Quien sabe? and Sarah Palin’s “Acknowledged Grandchild”, all ignored, misrepresented, delayed or otherwise not covered by the MSM…

…and that’s just in the last year!

The difference, how many days did it that the MSM to cover O’Keefe and Acorn, days, even weeks.

How many days did it take Fox to cover the story? On the net same day. On TV? I saw it this morning.

That’s it in a nutshell!

Oh and Fox, don’t get cocky, if you fall into the MSM’s habits you will suffer the same fate and deserve it.

..back around 2005 when Rush was suggesting it?

If that option had been used in 2004-2006, obamacare would be the law of the land right now.

One might argue that judicial nominations are different than other bills, it not a bad argument but it wouldn’t carry the day. The democrats would have done this and the media would have backed it. The problem with playing with rules when you are in the majority is that when you are in the minority they are used against you.

Sometimes the greatest gift you can get is not having getting what you want.

Update: I’m actually shocked that they democrats haven’t managed to pass something, glad but shocked. If they had even the slightest bit of sense I think they would have been much more successfully in a legislative sense.
