Two update concerning DaTechGuy on DaRadio

#1 Regular Guest Status on WCRN’s Conservatively Speaking Saturday’s 7-9 p.m.

Starting this week I will become a Pseudo-regular on Conservatively Speaking (4th banana).

As 4th Banana my involvement will be much more limited than John & Co but it will be regular baring family events, Christmas open houses etc… So to all my readers nationwide I say give a listen to WCRN Saturdays 7-9 p.m. and give us a call.

#2 The Axis of Fedora Hour

I have a meeting scheduled Thursday Morning to confirm and finalize details for the Axis of Fedora Hour (or DaTechGuy on DaRadio or whatever we call it) It is unclear if it would directly follow conservatively speaking or be on later in the evening 10 or 11 p.m. but all signs look good right now.

I hope to be able to announce a start date by the end of the week.

After Glenn put up his I told you so post he notes something significant:

Now why should some professor in Knoxville be able to determine what our national reporters in Washington and New York City could not?

Do we not pay these people — through the extra pennies we pay on a product for advertisements — to know these things?

I think it’s not just a question of paying attention, it’s all about what you choose to report.

The MSM hasn’t chosen to report the failure of the One Nation rally. They haven’t chosen to show the trash photos or the comparison shots of the crowd. They didn’t choose to report on the DOJ scandal or Van Jones et/al.

Yet a vast amount of Americans knew because of social media. The MSM were irrelevant because they came late to a story that was already told in e-mail boxes, tweets and facebook pages worldwide.

Goliath might not be paying attention but it could be because Goliath would rather be ignorant about a fact they don’t want to acknowledge.

One might survive in a niche market but if your business is information and analysis and you are being scooped by people in the street you’d better look for another business pronto.

Update: Along those same lines I wonder if the Torrance Daily Breeze will find this story newsworthy?

California Democrat Rep. Jane Harman’s family business is laying off American workers – including engineering employees in California — and shifting jobs overseas.

If history is the judge I wouldn’t bet on the breeze

Yesterday’s tea party meeting was smaller than most, not only because of the poor people having a fedora wearing blogger unleashed upon them but also because of a debate between candidates Jen Benson and Kurt Hayes for state rep.

When all the speakers were done a very unexpected guest showed up:

She spoke for several minutes about the tea party, unlike many pols republican and democrats he seems enthused by it

After he was done there was back and forth from the crowd:

The crowd was very taken by his appearance and he left with a souvenir of the evening.

A Twin City Tea Party Shirt for the Mayor

The Mayor seemed to grasp that the tea party was not a passing phase but the engagement of the citizens with their government. He seems to be way ahead of the curve here.

This is the last meeting before the election, it remains to be seen if the November meeting will be one of celebration or re-evaluation.

I will likely be liveblogging it but I might be speaking briefly (yeah stop laughing about the briefly part) about the 9/12 rally since the Fitchburg/Worcester groups were there only for the 9/11 march.

So if you want to see me try to be brief and direct talk I’ll see you at the border tonight, and if you don’t want to come for that, come for the .25 cent wings and half price appetizers after 9!

P.S. There will be NO Twin City Tea Party meeting in October as most members will be out campaigning with their favorite candidates.
