Update Fitchburg 1:30 p.m.

I’ve been to every precinct in the city so far and this is what I saw.

In ward 6 where two years ago I stood alone a group held signs for republican candidates

The only candidate on the democratic side promoted was Tom Foley for Sheriff

I have never in my life seen more people holding signs for a question than for a candidate

I was so struck by that I interviewed a gentleman there

Foley has drawn a fair amount of support. I’ve met him personally and I’m not surprised by that.

There was a group of FSU students interviewing people for a government project, I asked them why they didn’t cover the Gunn event at the college, none of them had been told even though every teacher got an e-mail about it.

Where were these college folks when Gunn was on Campus?

In Ward five the turnout was VERY high, particularly in 5a

I talked to David Roth who I knew from high school, he was a year ahead of me.

Ward 2 also had a very steady stream, their totals were already over the primaries before noon

In ward three there were two big surprises. My mother who works the polls told me it was very steady, in the second ward the numbers were already over 800 by 12:30 p.m.

In both wards 6 and 3 there were Democratic poll watchers checking to see if they needed to get their people out if they hadn’t voted. Two people I met at the Mayday march were also in 6 and 3. We disagree but they are very nice and I’m always pleased to see them.

I ran into John Olver in Ward 3. I still think he is dead wrong but I’ve learned to respect him as a gentleman who has never treated me with anything but respect. He has run a clean and honorable campaign.

Ex Mayor Mylot was there as well, he was supporting the republican ticket. The men on the left holding signs for Lew held them for Bove in the primary at the same spot.

The Shock of the day came as Bill Gunn showed up at the same time and he and Congressman Olver posed for a picture together.

This was the picture of the day, although I think it will be a close race both have run positive, clean and issue oriented campaigns, it’s been an example to the entire nation.

In ward one the trend of incredible numbers continued:

And the electioneering continued, the most popular democrat in the area is clearly Foley

Bottom line all signs point toward huge turnout and if the Scott Brown trend of January is a barometer, then I’d be worried if I was the left

Since the left came to protest and unlike the tea party people decided to assault a driver who disagreed with them

It was a good little rally, not in the class of the Boston event but still effective. At least effective enough that it worried the left. Their actions during the pledge and the national anthem combined with the assault did more to hurt their cause than anything else.

Update: Leftists nuts in VA too, at least they didn’t assault anyone.

She mentioned the idea to me on a phone call, then I called some friends in Alaska to see if it was feasible. I learned we only had 24 hours, so I called my colleagues from Breitbart Media. Ultimately, that led to this Big Government post on the topic.

I sent it to some blogger friends, Ace is one who picked up on it. A reader of Ace’s placed a link to the Big Government item in comments at Just One Minute – pointing it out to a resident of Alaska.

Then that JOM reader went down and registered, calling the radio station afterward. They recounted the complete story in comments at JOM. See how easy reporting can be, my friend?

On Tuesday evening we are going to find out who is right on O’Donnell

Tuesday at the debate I was talking Big Red Wave with an aide to a republican candidate for statewide office, although he was feeling highly confident on his local race when I said to him that the wave would be even bigger.

I started mentioning the anecdotal evidence I’ve seen in district after district he was unimpressed.

When I brought up Christine O’Donnell and Chris Coon’s sudden Volte Face he immediately dismissed me as ignorant and my opinion unworthy.

Well if all he sees are polls like this that’s one thing, but then there is stuff like this:

Yesterday, a poll went around showing Christine O’Donnell just five points behind Commie Coons in Delaware’s Senate race. This SORT OF explains the weird amount of time the White House has been spending in a slam dunk blue state.

But, Democrats are ferociously attacking CoD as hard as they attacked Scott Brown in Massachusetts. If she is so far behind, what is the point in beating up on this woman?

This is anecdotal, but I think I know why they are doing this…just like with Hottie McAwesome there are internals showing O’Donnell ahead.

Today I talked to a friend from Team Hillary who is a big Dem fundraiser. He told me that for the last week or so the DNC has been at DEFCON 1 leaning HARD on the rainmakers because they are terrified of a CoD win in Delaware.

and this:

We have seen reliable polling that shows O’Donnell is within single digits, and Coons can’t break 50%. What is more, these polls rely on a turn-out model that is relatively conservative and, contrary to what pundits think, a much higher than normal turn-out could mean the polls are off by as much as 5-6 or more points. In the primary, most polls showed O’Donnell down by a few or tied, however she won by 6 points, a figure higher than most of the pre-vote polls and outside of their margin of error.

Why is this happening, and why might the pundits, once again, have egg on their face on election day?

Voters in Delaware are learning from reliable internet sources, despite a near blackout by the elite political press, more and more about Coons and his record.

One is right and one is wrong, but I can’t forget the Globe polls that showed Martha Coakley up 15 points:

Coakley’s lead grows to 17 points – 53 percent to 36 percent – when undecideds leaning toward a candidate are included in the tally. The results indicate that Brown has a steep hill to climb to pull off an upset in the Jan. 19 election. Indeed, the poll indicated that nearly two-thirds of Brown’s supporters believe Coakley will win.

Somebody is right here and somebody is wrong here, by this time next week we will find out.
