The One Card in Trumps Favor

Stan: Damn it Vinny! Maybe if you put up some kind of a fight, you could’ve had the case thrown out

Vincent Gambini: Stan, you’re in Ala-fuckin’-bama. You come from New York. You killed a good ole boy. There’s just no way this isn’t going to trial

My Cousin Vinny 1992

The closing arguments in the NYC Trump trial are taking place and despite the opinions of Jonathan Turley and Alan Dershowitz as to the quality of the case against President Trump and the credibility of the witnesses for the prosecution I have to agree with Stacy McCain that the fix is about as in as it gets:

Understand that 86% of voters in Manhattan voted for Joe Biden in 2020. There are no honest people on that jury. They know full well why they are there, and what is expected of them. This “trial” has nothing to do with justice, and everything to do with revenge — Trump beat Hillary in 2016, and Democrats cannot forgive him for that.

Do not be distracted by this chatter from the media about the “question” of whether Michael Cohen’s credibility has been damaged. It doesn’t matter. This jury will vote to convict, no matter what.

There is however one wild card that is in Trump favor. The fear card.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mean the Juror’s being afraid for their lives. I mean the fear of what the result of the guilty verdict might be on election 2024.

You might recall that as President, Donald Trump gave black Americans a break and many emphasize with the idea of a justice system out to get them (an idea that Democrats have drilled into their heads btw) and furthermore a lot of Hispanic voters who came from South America to escape the kind of crooked justice being practiced in that court.

or as Scott Adams has put it

Quite a few Democrats are beginning to suspect that this is the case and if a juror or two comes to the same conclusion then all bets are off.

That fear might change the dynamic, but then again the fear of electing Trump might not be larger than the fear of a backlash from people they know for daring to let him go.

I don’t see how you overcome that social pressure.

All of it is like watching an old movie with a sad ending that you’ve seen many times and wished it ended differently.

A day in the life of central Pennsylvania

The chimes at St. James Episcopal Church resonated with a poignant rendition of America the Beautiful, heralding the start of a significant event-the annual Memorial Day parade.

This solemn occasion, marked by a discordant burst from a fire engine in Muncy, Pennsylvania, is a testament to our community’s unwavering respect and remembrance for our fallen veterans.
Marching in unison along Main Street, a diverse group of individuals came together to honor our veterans. Among them were not just veterans, but also volunteers from local businesses, government, civic groups, and churches, demonstrating our community’s collective support and pride.

Just up the road, residents placed flags near the headstones of fallen veterans in the local cemetery.

Not too far away in Pennsdale, some residents are exercising their Constitutional right to protest a large solar power installation without the rancor of recent nationwide demonstrations.

Solar Renewable Energy seeks to install more than 6,000 panels on nearby farmland. The local zoning board has granted a variance to build the solar field.

However, residents have many concerns, including declining property values in the area following the installation, contamination of existing aquifers that supply wells of homes adjacent to the site, stormwater runoff from the disturbance of existing land, glare, and other safety concerns.

The local taxpayers plan to take the matter to court if the variance is not rescinded.

Moreover, my wife and I enjoyed chatting with neighbors about the upcoming election. That’s a far cry from our discussions with our neighbors in Philadelphia, where we lived until three years ago.

Days like this remind me how lucky I am to live in a part of the country that harkens back to the days of graciousness and civility.

So Who in fact did it better: Graham Chapman as the minister for home affairs’ when asked “In your plan ‘A Better Britain for us’ you claimed that you would build 88 thousand million billion houses a year in the greater London area alone. In fact you built only 3 in the last 15 years. Are you a bit disappointed with this result?”

Or Pete Buttigieg the actual Secretary of Transportation when asked by Margaret Brennan:

“The federal highway administration says only seven or eight charging stations have been produced with the $7,500,000,000 investment that taxpayers made back in 2021, Why isn’t it happening more quickly?”

Two reminders:

  1. Monty Python was a comedy show not a template
  2. Only one of those interviews were meant to be a joke

I don’t think I can do better than this speech in explaining what’s wrong with what it going on nationwide:

He rightly asks if any of this would be tolerated if the targets were Muslims and/or a Muslim country.

That this would be the basis for lawsuits goes without saying.

A lot of institutions are risking a lot to try to shore up Michigan for Joe Biden in accordance with the Ghastly Tom Hagen Math and Jewish leftists who enabled them for years are finding out where they stand are discovering the truth of Glenn Reynolds words:

Several generations of Jews thought there was safety in secularism, and shunned Christians. That hasn’t worked out as expected.

Or as I warned back in 2016

If you are a jewish Democrat you might as well get ready to put the yellow star on because like believing Catholics and pro-lifers before you, it might be finally clear to you that unless you know your place you are no longer welcome anymore in today’s Democrat party.

However if there is one thing that human beings have an incredible capacity for, it’s self delusion and for a very long time there will be plenty of Jewish democrats who remain in denial even as their children attending elite colleges find themselves treated as second class citizens if ever and whenever they try to acknowledge and celebrate their Jewish identity and hide it due to fear.  It’s very much like some elderly faithful Catholics who somehow haven’t gotten through their heads that this is not the democrat party of JFK or Tip O’Neill anymore.

The process of discovering reality is going to be very painful for them and some will go to their graves in denial because the truth is too horrible to face.

Sometimes it sucks being right.

On the plus side if you’re a lawyer you are going to clean up big over the next few years with these suits and if you are a Jewish lawyer your victories over those who want to see you dead will be doubly sweet.
