I’ve been a Monty Python fan since I was about 9 years old and discovered them on PBS and later the Holy Grail on the CBS Late Movie, and I also deplore the FBI raid on Donald Trump as one of the most egregious things this administration and justice department have done, so far.

All that being said I don’t see why everyone seems to consider this video so funny.

Bereft of any context and meh dialogue does not comedy make.

There is an old saying that everyone is conservative about their own situations, to Wit.

Once it’s a question of your kids future development the math changes quickly and of course unexpectedly.

Stacy McCain has discovered Louise Perry

Perry has taken a bold step, for a young woman who dares call herself a feminist, because modern feminism originated with just such a utopian ambition, as delineated by the schizophrenic radical Shulamith Firestone and others. Insofar as Perry rejects “ideology premised on . . . false belief,” she must question whether she is actually a feminist in any meaningful sense of that word.

The significance of Perry is not that she has figured it out, it’s that people who would not be caught dead publicly conceding that either Stacy or I have been right about this from day one might now decide they have the cover needed to summon up enough courage to publicly agree with things I suspect many of them already know.

One of the last people i had bet with on the result of the 2020 election who had never contacted me for payment of said be suddenly popped out of the woodwork.

In fairness to him while publicly noting he had not been paid (I had no name or account to send payment to and none had been provided) privately he was willing to excuse me from the debt. I declined his kind offer as the bet was made in good faith and I do not suspect him of being the person who fixed said election.

Some of you might wonder way I bothered to pay those bets given the fact that I still maintain not only was the election stolen but that this fact will be eventually be exposed and conceded as too many people were involved. The answer is simple. In the end like the Astros in 2017 who got a title by violating the rules and the 1985 Royals who won game seven after the most significant blown call in sports history those titles stand. Likewise the authorities who at the time could have done something choose, for whatever reason ( I suspect cowardice) to not act when they could and thus Joe Biden, rightly or wrongly was sworn in and is in fact for

I will leave it to him and the others who I paid my best to after Biden was sworn in to decide what to do when history shows the truth of the steal but that’s on them. As for me my honor is satisfied.

Finally later this year my wife will be traveling without me. She had been having hip pains when sleeping in bed so for the last two to three years she has been sleeping in a recliner and because of this I’ve been sleeping on the couch to be in the same room.

As she will not have a recliner to sleep in during her trip In preparation for she slept in our bed for the first time in years so when I came home I did the same.

I can not adequately describe the pleasure of being able to share a bed with my wife again, even if it was only for sleep. It reminds one of how fragile the simple pleasures of life can be.

Enjoy those pleasures and do not take them for granted because the day will come when they are gone forever

With the mass migration of normal people from blue states and areas I have a sinking feeling that cities like San Francisco, Chicago, Baltimore, NYC and DC have a bureaucrat whose job it is to make sure that the population of actual faithful Catholics living in the city limits never falls below ten.

I suspect this job has become more vital over time

A Town in North Carolina police force has resigned en masse over a new city manager citing a “hostile work environment”

The new town manager has a history of employment in liberal cities and I suspect brought a lot of that with her to this town in NC, but I suspect the new woke agenda isn’t playing here:

“It is with a heavy heart that I take this action. I have been with the town since 2004 and fully expected to finish my law enforcement career with the Town of Kenly. Unfortunately, there are decisions being made that jeopardize my safety and make me question what the future will hold for a Kenly Police Officer,” wrote officer G.W. Strong.

There are a lot of liberal cities bleeding police and heading to departments big and small in Red States. I suspect none of those police will be heading to Kenly North Carolina.

If I’m a thief or gang member from Raleigh or Goldsboro I’d be planning on an excursion to Kenly in a couple of weeks as there will likely be easy pickings, but if you want your small town to become more “progressive” you can’t do it without cost.

I noted that Glenn Reynolds in his linkage of a Johnathan Turley piece on the latest from the Jan 6th committee ended with this comment:

Also, if things keep going the way they’re going, the January 6 “insurrectionists” will ultimately be looked back upon as martyrs who tried to prevent a tragedy.

All of what has happened has been due to cowardice. The unwillingness to bluntly state that there were shenanigans in the last election that the establishment left and their allies in the judiciary in the blue states and regions they took place in were unwilling to call out in fear of rocking the boat has had huge consequences for this country and caused incredible pain to hundreds of millions of people.

I shudder to think what the result will be when they try this again in 2024, I suspect the result will not be as peaceful.

I really can’t do better than Stacy McCain in his takedown of Edenborough University over them cancelling David Hume (d 1776) for not being sufficiently woke by 21st century standards:

defaming the dead is easy work. Hume was a man of formidable skill in argumentation, and if anyone at the time had found fault with this footnote in his essay, certainly Hume would have been capable of defending himself. As it was, of course, no one in 18th-century Europe had any reason to question Hume’s judgment on this matter. How many avid believers in racial equality were there in England in 1758? Few, if any, I’m sure, and probably they had more important matters to deal with than accosting a Scottish philosopher about a footnote.

Really, why was this deemed important enough to rename a building at the University of Edinburgh? Is it any wonder that donors are canceling their bequests? What a silly tempest in a teapot — “Ban the dead racist David Hume!” — yet the Eminent Scholars in charge of a university evidently took it seriously.

Well they likely didn’t need those 2 million pounds of bequests cancelled so far anyways did they.

The media keeps breathlessly going on about Monkey Pox however they have not yet been able to report on what for them would be the holy grail for Monkey Pox. An outbreak among monogamous straight people.

Put simply for all the hysteria concerning Monkeypox if you want to avoid the disease here is the secret:

I’ve now been offering this devotion for a year here, at our parish and at the WQPH radio site. Not sure how many if any are praying it but you never know.

Speaking of WQPH a reminder while the DaTechGuy on DaRadio show is long gone and the DaTechGuy spontaneous Podcast has not had an episode in a very long while the radio show Your Prayer Intentions on WQPH is still going on in full swing broadcast every Saturday at noon and midnight.

Oh and this one day retreat sponsored by WQPH scheduled for June 23rd while I was at Pintastic NE has been rescheduled to this Saturday. Last I heard there were still 7 tickets left if anyone is interested.

I currently have two online leagues in progress at the Dynasty site, My 1969 Draft league is now in 1970 expanded to 18 teams in 3 divisions. We’re 33 games into a 162 game season I’ve also got the 3rd season of our all pathetic league going on with 16 teams and 100 games. We’re 12 games in and have a few openings (5 to be exact) if anyone wants in. More importantly one of the players in our face to face league is moving to upstate NY in a month meaning we will be a player short. We play a 60 game face to face season with 3 games every other Saturday at Zeda’s Pizza in Fitchburg MA. If anyone is interest in taking over last years world series champion Colorado Rockies and can commit to about 4 hour every two weeks in Fitchburg contact me ASAP.

Finally I haven’t heard back from the Lawrence School nor did I get the hard copies of the info I had been looking for concerning the CRT stuff being taught that I hinted at before Pintastic so I’m going to go ahead and put out the rest of what I have next week. I’d do it this week but I figure less people are paying attention during this week.

That our enemies put a concerted effort to take over our schools to hurt us is to be expected. That Americans are not only cooperating with these efforts and even using them for profit is obscene.

I’m old enough that I still listen to the radio when I drive and suddenly there are ads playing regularly warning of the signs of clots that can become aneurisms that I had never heard before.

All this ads are brought to you by Pfizer.

A coincidence I’m sure.

I was on my lunch break during the 4th quarter of gave five of the Bucks and Celtics game where the Bucks after being down as much as 12 in the 4th came back to tie it with under a minute to go and then win it when they got a rebound off a missed free throw and put it in and then stole the ball from the Celtics.

Over the last 3+ Minutes there was one name I didn’t hear during those last three minutes: Jason Tatum.

We’ve been hearing for weeks that he should be considered a superstar yet for some reason he didn’t touch the ball.

Just a coincidence I’m sure.

With a week to go before the Pennsylvania primary a GOP candidate who is surging to the point that she might pass the Trump endorsed Doctor Oz suddenly had her Wikipedia page taken down.

Wikipedia claims that she is not notable enough. Commenting on the matter she said:

Barnette posted a photo of her deleted page on Twitter with the caption, “When they cancel me, they’re cancelling you. Wikipedia just pulled my page down with a week left to go in the election.”

You would think they would promote a candidate different from whoever Trump endorsed however it seems that she would not only be the first black woman to serve in the senate from Pennsylvania but a big part of her story is that she was conceived in rape and her mother choose not to abort.

Yet apparently that’s not good enough to be noted. You would think cancelling a black woman would be consider beyond the pale these days but it’s apparently not.

Again another coincidence.

Speaking on something you don’t see every day a politics site in Florida broke the story of a sexual harassments scandal of a rising political star accused of sexual harassment, and then encouraged people not to report on it or bother the candidate about it. As Don Surber put it:

While it broke the story, Florida Politics asked others to go easy on Alexander. A confederacy of dunces followed and the rest of the media in Florida largely ignored the story.

The Tallahassee Democrat, the only newspaper to report on it, hid its story behind its subscribers only paywall. 

For the record the “rising star” Ramon Alexander a married father of two, is both a Democrat and is being accused of harassments by a man who Alexander claims he had a “consensual sexual relationship” with.

Boy the coincidences are just pouring down today aren’t they?

Finally yet another associate of Bill Clinton, Mark Meadows has died at the relatively young age of 59.

Given the spate of sudden deaths since the vaccine one might say “coincidence” here but for this paragraph in the Daily Mail story:

One of Bill Clinton’s former special advisors who helped cement his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein has died at the age of 59, becoming the latest associate of the former President to die young. Mark Middleton’s family said that he passed away on Saturday in a statement which did not reveal the cause of death. (snip) During that time Middleton admitted Epstein to the Clinton White House on seven of the at least 17 times the late pedophile visited. Middleton also flew on Epstein’s plane and appears to have acted as a conduit between the two men.

I’d close with a sly line about coincidence but I don’t think there is anybody left who would by it in this case.
