Yesterday I picked up my son from work and he told me about the shooting of Charlie Kirk who was not reported dead by the time I dropped him off and got myself home.

By that time the online left was already dancing a jig and while some places like Jezebel who literally hired witches to curse him two days ago (and whose comments on the article I can no longer access (unexpectedly of course) suddenly added this editors note to their piece:

If the far-right misogynist with a bad haircut wants to villainize independent women, Jezebel is more than happy to be the hag of his nightmares.

We’re also seen some of the loudest voices that were screaming Nazi & Fascist a few days ago suddenly deciding that political violence is not a good idea, largely because it hit them that conservatives are well armed and very angry at the moment.

This hasn’t stopped the left online from celebrating loudly with plenty of people cheering about the murder even to this extreme point where a leftist crashed a vigil for Kirk shouting that he deserved it got kicked out and played the victim online

Now for those few people who side with the left out of habit or a joiners who might still have a semblance of a conscience this should bring the obvious Mitchel & Webb question: Are we the Baddies?

But there is a more fundamental and much more obvious question worth asking to those few on the left who are not so brainwashed as to be unable to think.

You have been calling us Nazi’s for decades, you have been calling us Klan members, you talk about how guns cause violence and seek to disarm us. You keep telling how right wing violence is the scourge of the nation.

If this is true why aren’t we killing you right now?

Why aren’t leftist enclaves in Red states running red with blood? How come you aren’t being hanged from every lamppost in Texas or Georgia or Wyoming? How is it that, since as you claim guns cause violence, we haven’t used those guns to execute you with two in the back of the head? Why aren’t cities burning?

Mr. Nestguard is the perfect example. If there was ever a person who put himself in a position to be sized by an angry mob and lynched where he stood, Mr Nestguard interrupting a vigil for a murdered Charlie Kirk screaming that he deserved it and wished he did it himself, that would have been it. Yet all they did is push him out so he could go online and play the hero to his fellow psychopaths.

Yet we are not.

Part of it is all that Christianity that you hate which tells us that we should not murder you.

Part of it is the knowledge that not a single one of you is worth the cost to our souls if we did it.

But most if it is because we aren’t the people you claim we are. That we never were the people you’ve claimed we are because if we were the life expectancy of a CNN or MSNBC or ABC pundit would the shorter than a mayfly.

As I put it the moment I heard Charlie Kirk had died:

Mind you it’s still possible that you will drive us to the breaking point and the Devil will be doing his best to push us in that direction and once that line is crossed it’s going to be very hard to put that genie back in the bottle.

But before that happens take this moment to ask yourself the obvious question I’ve raised and realize that you’ve been played badly by the media, by the professional left and by those seeking power for their own purposes.

You have a choice to make for yourselves, we on the right will do our best to keep our own souls, I suggest to try to rediscover your own.

Kids with Cancer as a Prop and Talking Point (And a Christmas Miracle)!

One of the arguments I’ve been making over the past few years is that nobody should be surprised at the level of deceit, double dealing and corruption in the Biden Administration for the simple reason that people who steal an election don’t steal it for the sake of altruism. If a group of people are willing to steal a national election to gain power, obviously lying about the health of the president, not helping citizens devastated by natural disasters (remember the train derailment in Palestine preceded North Carolina by years) and using a foreign war and/or the power of the pardon as a personal slush fund is not going to be beyond them.

The thing is eventually stuff like this gets exposed and those who played along for personal or professional reasons are suddenly shocked SHOCKED that such things have been going on.

That is what happened yesterday when the 3rd stopgap measure passed overwhelmingly minus over 900 pages of fluff and graft that had been inserted in to gain democrat favor, but I want to point to a particular piece of this story that has broken out loud and long.

One of the talking points we have heard from the left is how cancer research was being funded in that bill and how the people looking for that research were hoping to get the funding they desperately needed and then Elon Musk tweeted and the kids with cancer were denied. Here is Sam Stein in the Bulwark:

 By December 19, the provision had been axed from the bill, after Musk went on an X rampage, tweeting that the bill was a Christmas tree that was antithetical to conservative, small-government ambitions and threatening the primary lawmakers who supported it.

Nancy Goodman, the founder and executive director of Kids v. Cancer, called it “a completely heart-wrenching outcome.” Like Ellyn Miller, her child died of cancer (succumbing at the age of 10 to medulloblastoma). And like Ellyn Miller, Goodman had turned her grief into advocacy. She spent four years working on the Give Kids a Chance Act, which would have allowed FDA authorization of combination cancer treatments.

“We spent a lot of time putting together policies with broad bipartisan support to help kids seriously ill,” she said in an interview with The Bulwark. “How can it be that our society is not thinking about the most vulnerable children and doing everything they can to help them? How can we cut this out in the name of efficiency? How does that make sense?”

Goodman said she began to fear for the worst on Wednesday when she got calls from several staffers relaying that House Republican leadership was worried about the fate of the compromise bill and was trying to whip support for it. Those staffers suggested that she and others put together a letter from doctors and advocates and anyone in the pediatric cancer leadership community urging that it remain in the bill. They got more than 740 people to sign on.

Mr. Stein’s article was long and detailed but it did manage to leave out one rather significant fact.

It was that a stand alone bill for this funding had in fact ALREADY passed the House of Representatives in MARCH of this year and was sitting in the senate.

Why are you leaving out the fact that it passed as a stand alone bill last March but was never brought up for a vote in nine months in Chuck Schumer’s Senate?

Maybe it’s just me but I think that might be a significant part of the story.

Glenn Reynolds asked the obvious questions:

And why didn’t these “cancer research advocates” know that their bill had passed the House ages ago and was now languishing in the Democratic Senate so that it could be used as a hostage against Republicans?

And why didn’t journalist Sam Stein know that, or choose to share it with his readers?

Reynolds suggested the answer was that he is an MSNBC contributor and writes for the Bulwark

Stein having been caught with a huge lie of omission then pivoted, blaming Rand Paul for this bill not being passed as he refused to allow unanimous consent to pass without making sure that the funding was not duplicating itself, that is, was not already funded by a different department, which is something that makes sense when you have a gigantic deficit.

But this as well has problems three to be percise:

  1. The bill does not have to come up by unanimous consent, it can be brought to a vote under regular order.
  2. Chuck Schumer and the Democrat Senate never made this bill a priority nor complained to the press about the Paul hold in 9 months
  3. The Biden administration never once pushed for the passage of that bill.
  4. Maybe it’s just me but given that the GOP was poised to take the senate in an election year and Donald Trump was on the ballot, an issue like “Senior GOP senator blocks bill for child cancer funding” might have been a strong issue. Kamala could have mentioned it in speeches, Trump and Vance could have been asked about it during debates and it could have been used in Senate races saying: “This is what happens when the GOP has power.”

Now you might think that any one of these things, particularly the 3rd would have been a no-brainer but apparently an issue that could be used to push hundreds of pages of graft and corruption was more important than using the power well you’d think wrong.

So alas for the left, this entire narrative fell on its face, except of course with those who remain in the bubble and refuse to leave it, but with ordinary Americans, the face of the press and the left was once again exposed for the people they were.

Didn’t surprise me of course, but this is the type of thing that people who usually don’t pay attention will notice.

Closing thought: With the exposing of the duplicity of the Biden Administration, the Democrat Senate and the Press on this issue the Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act was no longer a useful tool to push forward 1300+ pages of the left’s graft. In fact every day that it remained unpassed by the Senate made it a visible liability for the Democrat left, the Biden Administration and the Media Narrative.

So guess what bill got passed by the Still Democrat Controlled Senate Last night?

Let’s start with some basic facts out of the way first.

Joe Biden, is corrupt pol, who has gotten rich off the government. He has milked his position all his life. He has stolen a national election to become President [with the quiet cooperation of those who could have stopped him but hated Donald Trump more than they loved their duty]. After the election he has used the office to enrich his allies and himself while persecuting his political enemies including grandmothers praying at Clinics and parents complaining at school board meetings and sent his justice department after faithful Catholics (which he claims to be) to be investigated as terrorists while allowing rampant lawlessness all over the country,

So let me get this straight, I’m supposed to get all excited and outraged and shocked when the guy I just described decides in the final days of this time in office, when he’s practically at death’s door, to issue a pardon to his son who has used his Father’s positions in government as Vice President and then President to shake down foreign business and to get people to “buy” his paintings” all the while kicking back the 10% to “the big guy”?

Seriously?

Now if he was an honest and honorable pol, who had given his life to the service of his country I could just be a little surprised if he had pardoned his corrupt son in his last days of office citing it as the only favor he asks of the land that he had served faithfully for half a century.

But this crook? Why on earth would I or anyone else be surprised at this corrupt lying bastard acting as a corrupt lying bastard. In terms of harm to the office and the country this is likely one of the mildest things he has done.

The only surprise I have is that he didn’t pardon himself as well.

Update: You know I’d bet real money that there are plenty of people in the Biden Administration complicit in crimes that might have hoped to be part of a blanket pardon issued by the president before Trump takes office on the grounds of preventing said administration to practicing “lawfare” against them. The media would have fully backed something like this.

Alas I suspect that such a pardon will not happen not because in Joe Biden eyes they are guilty of a much greater crime, complicity in forcing him off the Democrat ticket.

The Fruits of a Post Christian Society, FEMA Hurricane Relief Edition

There are many sins that people have to deal with either out of habit or depression or simply due to temptation by the other side which are constant pressures that a Christian faces. While those temptations are part and parcel of life, and the reason why the Church offers the Sacrament of Confession to get you back on track, I have never been seriously tempted to reject a doctrine of the Church or the word of Christ.

I must however give the Devil his due that this move is the best one I’ve ever seen in the attempt to make me have second thoughts about the non-optional doctrine of loving your enemies and praying for those who persecute you.

Can you imagine a fireman not saving a kid because they don’t like how the parents voted? Can you imagine an auto mechanic not properly fixing a brake line because the customer voted the wrong way? Could you imagine if the US Army coming across a concentration camp only feeding those with the right political views?

This woman and those who worked above her and below her can.

Christianity explicably rejects this but the left’s utilitarian Marxism embraces it. None of them should be trusted with any position of responsibility that affects the lives of others ever again.

That being said my rosaries today will be offered for her and her like and I suggest you do the same.
