The Wuhan Virus pandemic is causing a zombie apocalypse

In honor of Halloween, which is just a few days away, I decided to write a suitably themed article.  So much of what has happened in the past eighteen months does have a horror story vibe to it.  Like a lot of good horror stories, the current one we are living features zombies. 

Unlike most traditional horror stories, the zombies are not a product of a virus, in this case the Wuhan Virus, which was let loose on the world almost two years ago.  The zombies are caused by the media coverage of the pandemic, which has featured non stop fear porn.  Junk science and pseudo science make up the vast majority of the fear porn that dominates local and national news. 

The zombies caused by this particular pandemic are predominantly subservient and unquestioning.  They so very meekly accept what is being done to them, offering no resistance at all while their rights and freedoms are stripped away. Decades of progressive indoctrination is also a prime cause of this all too real zombie apocalypse.  Unquestioning obedience to authority, no matter how destructive or abusive those in authority are, is a hallmark of all leftist philosophies.

In this true life zombie apocalypse, the zombies are not the villains.  Their everlasting obedience to liberty destroying mandates and restrictions enables the true villains.  Power hungry politicians, mostly of the Democrat persuasion, and power hungry ‘experts’ are the prime villains of this zombie apocalypse.  They are aided by the extremely biased mainstream media.

The only cure for these particular zombies is the truth about what is really going on.  Unfortunately these zombies are extremely resistant to the truth.  Constantly exposing as many zombies to the truth as possible, as often as possible, is the only way to end this zombie apocalypse.  Unfortunately the truth is in such short supply and it is suppressed so vigorously by social media, the mainstream media, corrupt politicians, and corrupt experts.

Review: The Chestnut Man

Late last month a Nordic noir six-episode series, The Chestnut Man, a Danish production began streaming on Netflix. It’s based on the novel of the same name by Søren Sveistrup. It’s an ideal autumn offering on many levels. The Chestnut Man is set in Denmark in October with fall colors at their peak. Halloween–the celebration of it has been spreading in Europe–plays a part in the story, and oh yeah, it’s a compelling crime drama centered on a serial killer who leaves stick chestnut figures, chestnut men, at the scene of each murder. Just as the carving of pumpkins is an old tradition in North America the building of chestnut men is similar a tradition in Scandinavia.

Naia Thulin (Danica Curcic) is a police detective and a single mother whose work keeps her away from her daughter, Le (Liva Forsberg), so the girl spends more time with her quasi-grandfather, Aksel (Anders Hove). By the way Hove was a regular on the ABC soap opera General Hospital.

Thulin is assigned a new partner, Mark Hess (Mikkel Boe Følsgaard). Their first investigation is a chestnut man murder. Hess has a troubled past–he was recently fired from his job in the Hague. The chestnut man case is quickly tied to the disappearance of the daughter of a politician, Rosa Hartung (Iben Dorner), who is the minister of social affairs. Her position puts in charge of foster care and child custody cases.

Obviously I don’t want to give up much of the plot because it will introduce spoilers. Let’s just say viewers will be confronted with twists and turns in the story line. The scars of unhappy childhoods figure in to the plot as well.

I also recently watched two other new Netflix series that I believe any level-headed person should avoid. 

Brand New Cherry Flavor is set in Hollywood in the 1990s and centers on a young Brazilian director (Rosa Salazar) who sees her first movie project stolen by a scumbag Hollywood producer. (Aren’t they all scumbags?) Inexplicably the director consistently barfs up large-eared kittens. Except for the negative portrayal of Hollywood I detested this series. And with a couple of exceptions I hated the characters. Even the kittens disturbed me. And there is a disgusting sex scene I won’t even describe here.

You can judge a book–and a TV series–by its cover. The Netflix graphic promoting Midnight Mass is centered on a main character, a Catholic priest, who has a sinister look on his face. The plot driver of this series is that priest (Hamish Linklater), a mysterious young pastor who arrives at an island parish that serves a tiny fishing community. Let’s just say Midnight Mass has about the same amount of respect for the Catholic Church as The Da Vinci Code, only with tons of gore and blood thrown into the mess. Although to be honest I did enjoy Dan Brown’s Da Vinci Code book. The movie? Not so much.

The island’s sheriff, a Muslim, Rahul Kohli, is quite good in Midnight Mass however.

In Midnight Mass the cinematography is beautiful–but The Chestnut Man has that and so much more–I believe you’ll enjoy that series.

The Chestnut Man is rated TV-MA as it contains graphic violence and crime scene photos, foul language, sex, and brief nudity. It is available streaming on Netflix in English, English with subtitles, Danish with subtitles, Spanish, as well as simplified and traditional Chinese. There are bits of dialogue in The Chestnut Man in English and German–with subtitles. I watched it in Danish.

A political horror story – What a Biden/Harris victory would mean for the United States

Halloween is only a couple of days away.  In honor of that macabre holiday I decided to write the scariest article I could possibly imagine.

 With just under a week to go the presidential election appears to still be to close to call. although things are now breaking in President Trump’s direction.  It is abundantly clear to me that the negative consequences of Joe Biden winning the presidency would be truly horrific for everyone living in the United States. It would be more horrific than anything H. P. Lovecraft, Stephen King, George Orwell, or Dean Koontz ever wrote.

Very shortly after a Biden/Harris victory the economy of this great nation would collapse thanks to a return to an implementation of extremely high tax rates on those that produce jobs and wealth.  Joe Biden may claim to be a moderate but his record and his rhetoric paint a vastly different picture.

The economy would also collapse because Joe Biden would implement the Green New Deal to combat the mythical beast known as climate change.  The extremely onerous  regulations, which would drown all aspects of the US economy in red tape, would cause economic dislocation worse than the Great Depression.  The US would no longer be energy independent, we would become a third world nation, despite being extremely rich in oil and natural gas.

Freedom of Speech would be a thing of the past because Joe Biden and kamala are Leftists, and like all Leftists they abhor free speech.  Hardcore political correctness would dominate all aspects of daily lives.  Federal mandates backed up by a stacked Supreme Court would be the instruments of their tyranny.

If your church’s teachings violate liberal orthodoxy then the federal government would meddle in that church and possibly close it down.

The Second Amendment would be destroyed by federal regulations and a stacked liberal Supreme Court.

The violence plaguing liberal cities and blue states would spread throughout the United States because the Federal Government would stop lending support in the form of the FBI and other federal agencies.  Joe Biden and his handlers would make it more difficult for the National Guard to deal with the unrest.

Progressive indoctrination would dominate all levels of our public schools and spread into private schools thanks to aggressive federal mandates.  Future generations would be dominated by brain dead liberal zombies that are still alive.

The Supreme Court would be stacked with the most liberal justices thanks to Biden or Harris.  That damage would take decades to undo.

Elections would be nearly impossible for Republicans to win because the Biden/Harris administration will incorporate all the liberal election stealing schemes into a federal  election policy that will overrule all sate election laws.

The United States would become just like California and then quickly just like Venezuela if Joe Biden wins. All of the damage done by the Biden/Harris administration would be done in such a way to make it far more difficult for Republicans to win future elections. Liberals despise fair elections because they can’t win them.

A political horror story – This is what the US would be like if the Democrats win in 2020

In honor of Halloween I decided to write a truly horrific article.  This is the absolutely scariest scenario I could possibly imagine for the United States as we know it – the Democrats not only taking the White House, but also taking control of the Senate, while maintaining control of the House. 

For proof of the truly catastrophic consequences of this scenario we only need to examine the campaign promises of the Democratic presidential candidates, the Democratic party platforms, and the track record wherever Democrats and other leftists have been in control to implement their policies. 

Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and other Democratic presidential candidates are pushing wealth distribution.  There are no betters examples of the devastating consequences of this tragically flawed economic policy than Venezuela and California.  History has provided everyone with numerous other examples of the economic carnage that would result from this deeply flawed idea, but that won’t stop the Democrats from implementing it here if they won control.  The entire US would rapidly be transformed economically into California, then into Venezuela. 

Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren have openly talked about nationalizing different private industries, and I believe others would do the same.  ObamaCare was an attempt to nationalize the entire US health industry and that was a disaster.  All industries were nationalized in the Soviet Union and other socialist countries, with epically horrific results.  The same would happen here.

Nothing can strangle a business more rapidly and thoroughly than government regulation.  The Democrats would overburden US companies with so much red tape the economy would quickly sputter to a halt.

The Second Amendment would quickly be gutted if the Democrats won control.  They would not accomplish by altering the Constitution.  It is clear to everyone that they would enact extremely strict gun control through unconstitutional legislation and activist judges who would gut the Second Amendment,  Only criminals and the government would have guns making everyone vulnerable to criminals and government tyranny.  One candidate has even talked about out right gun confiscation, that won’t end well at all.

Free speech would be a thing of the past.  Political correctness would become a universal standard  of  speech.  Opposing idea would be labeled hate speech and those daring to offend would be punished. If you think this is an overstatement just look at liberal controlled college campuses and countries like Great Britain.

There would only be one religion allowed in the United States and that would be the religion of Progressivism.  That would be done in the name of enforcing the mythical wall of separation between church and state.  Beto O’Rourke has openly called for punishing churches who dare oppose the Progressive orthodoxy.  Other Democrats would do the same if given power. 

Medicare for all would become the law of the land.  The entire US healthcare system would be transformed into the British National Health Service or the VA.  American medical innovation would grind to a halt and wait times would explode.  Health care rationing would soon follow.  Socialized medicine has always resulted in tremendous suffering.

Crime would explode everywhere in the United States like it has wherever Democrats have gained control.  This is a direct result of the policies Democrats impose.

Our economy would collapse because the Democrats would impose the Green New Deal,  all in the name of combating the mythological beast known as climate change. 

There would be so many other horrific consequences of the Democrats gaining control but I think this article would become so scary it would cause nightmares if I continued to list them.  I think I’ve listed enough for now.  Happy Halloween.
