Right now the left has the Gays and the Transgenders and the Hollywood elites & media in which they are overrepresented and they figure that’s the best things to have, but in America Islam is a thing of the future.  In 20 years the children of Muslims now being raised on the tenets of Sharia law in America will be old enough to vote and Democrats going to make sure they get those votes when the time come, not now but 10-20 years from now.

The various anti-Semitic marches and events tearing through the country in general and campus’ in particular have rightly gotten plenty of press. To a large degree this is made possible by the steady increase of Islam in the country whose effect some Jewish liberals are finally grasping after ignoring warning from folks like Pam Geller, Robert Spencer and occasionally me.

But being of an optimistic nature one likes to look and the bright side of this change and one of those bright sides is getting almost no press:

A Minneapolis area school district says it will let families opt out of LGBT curriculum materials after several Muslim families threatened to sue.

St. Louis Park Public School District just west of Minneapolis said it will allow families to opt their kids out of reading books with LGBT themes.

Somali Muslim families had threatened to sue the district, alleging that not allowing families to opt out potentially violates the Constitution and state law.

Now remember Minnesota is as blue as they come, they’ve actually passed laws encouraging the trans madness to a point where they’ve created a shortage of doctors available to castrate children from other states who rush there to be cut up.

But on this issue, they’ve caved pretty fast, no big publicity campaign, no MSM trying to shame the parents, no grandstanding by Hollywood or academia or clever “don’t say gay” tag for the school system in question. Just a quick retreat. As Robert Spencer put it when writing about the case:

Of course, school district officials in Minneapolis, which has a significant Somali Muslim population, may not have wanted to appear so “Islamophobic” as to fight Muslim families in court. This was especially true because the families based their case on Islam: “on November 2, the families’ attorneys sent the district a letter explaining Islamic teachings around gender and sexuality and outlining the timeline of parents’ complaints about the LGBT books.”

He also notes a great mistake being made by Christians there.

The real pity here is that Christian parents and those from other faith groups didn’t join the legal case as well. The Muslim families acted after “some of the families’ elementary school children had been exposed to LGBT characters in picture books, which caused ‘significant confusion and distress,’” according to the letter the families sent to the school district. Christian and other parents have also experienced “significant confusion and distress” over this propaganda being forced onto their children, and they should have protested.

You’re going to see a lot more of this and it’s going to eventually force the left to make a choice and my guess is they will choose Islam, at least if they know how to count.

Closing thought. How fast would the school board have laughed the parents out of the place if they had been Catholic and not Muslim?

I must confess I read Don Surber’s piece today with some amusement because it seemed so familiar:

This is what I wrote in June:

If these were children of Catholic, or even Protestant Parents they would be denounced all over the west, Canada’s draconian laws would be unleashed against them and their parents would be face legal proceedings for hate crimes, every talk show host would be on their case and people who do their best to have them fired from any jobs they held. Perhaps even proceedings launched to take custody of these children from the parents who did this.

However these children and not Catholic, or Protestant or any Christian denomination. They are Muslims and while a lot more people are claiming to be gay, or binary or whatever the fad is to get credit for victim status the actual physical Muslim population of both the US and Canada is not only growing but continues to grow.

Those MP’s are going to need those Muslim votes in just 10 to 20 years to get elected.

Now Don Surber today quoting the Telegraph:

if a Christian council had banned the Pride flag, liberals would have known exactly how to respond. Denounce the council for its queerphobic bigotry, and lead a furious protest march against heteronormative, patriarchal white supremacy. Simple.

Unfortunately, though, this council isn’t Christian. As a result, American liberals are being forced to contemplate an awkward dilemma. Their whole purpose in life is to defend marginalised minorities. But what should they do when one marginalised minority marginalises another marginalised minority? Whose side should they take?

A very long time ago I wrote how the primary target of the left was always Christianity and the left saw Islam as another group that opposed Christians. What Muslim’s actually believed didn’t matter as long as they could be weaponized against Christian culture.

But having seemingly defeated Christian culture, at least in the blue states, the reality of the Tom Hagen math is biting them. The future belongs to those who show up and people who castrate their own children children if they even bother to have any just don’t have as many votes as those who have large families.

I predict that I will live to see the Democrat/left throw the LGBTQ community, that they never really liked anyways, under the bus, but what will really be interesting is the moment that will come before this when the Antifa types decide to try to muscle American Muslims.

I suspect if they are foolish enough to try it will look something like this with Antifa playing the role of the bikers

At least it will end like this is Antifa is lucky.

I’ll give the last word to Don:

Liberals believe the price Muslims should pay for sticking up for them is giving up their religious beliefs.

HAHAHA.

A Good Investment vs a Bad One

My son sent me this link concerning a kickstarter campaign here is a screen shot of it’s progress:

With 15 days to go this project is funded nearly 5x beyond what it needs.

Of course in fairness the original Groo dice game was not only hilarious but easy and fun to play so a revival makes sense. I still have my copy from when I owned a comic book store in the 1980’s I remember it fondly and highly recommend it. Based on the response there are plenty of other people who think the same so I suspect this will be a moneymaker for Steve Jackson games.

On the other hand there are some investments that simply don’t pay off:

Those are fully stocked store shelves of this merchandise, as if no one had touched them for weeks. Nobody wanted a Pride chew toy for their pet, nobody wanted Pride children’s wear, or transgender-themed children’s toys (I had to look up what Kidd Kenn was in the blue and pink box on the last in the sequence — a rap star), nobody wanted a Pride baking kit, nobody wanted LGBTQ+-themed liquor, or LGBTQ+ cups to put them in. Notice that the liquor is already on sale. Nobody wanted rainbow kid boots.

That’s shelf space that could have been used for merchandise that people wanted to buy, and in retail, efficient use of shelf space for things that sell is the name of the game. They pay people to determine those things. These items at Target Kearny Mesa were all displayed prominently at the front of the store, no back of the store decision for them. You’ve heard of “dead-naming”? Well, this was “dead-spacing.”

UnexpectedlyTM of course.

The reality is that both of these items are dealing with a niche market. The difference is that the makers of the Groo game aren’t pretending that their market is bigger than it is so they will show a profit. These guys at Target, not so much.

I was going to do a longer post on the subject but let’s cut to the chase. Take a look at this photo of school children stopping the gay flag, in Canada no less:

Reality is that the future belongs to those who show up and Canadian and American Pols know that in just a few years their elections just mind depend on those Muslim kids and someday their kids rather than the ultra libs who might have one kid who gets spayed because the school convinces them their transgender. So there will be silence.

Unexpected.

Oh and it doesn’t hurt to know that the Muslims all that shy when it comes to fighting back. If you think they’ll go after you for insulting Muhammad just wait till you try to touch one of their kids. That’s why you’ll never see Antifa tangle with them.
