For several months every single indication I have seen in Massachusetts points to an upheaval of epic proportions.

I have argued that Bill Gunn not only has an excellent chance of winning Ma-1 and John Olver is running scared.

I have stated that Republicans will win at least three seats in congress in Massachusetts.

I have said that Jim McKenna’s success as a write in candidate is the single most significant election nationwide.

Although I’ve said Fortune favors the bold the GOP hasn’t taken my advice in Massachusetts.

Well the wall street journal has finally taken notice?

Republican advances in traditionally Democratic states, including Connecticut, Oregon and Washington, may not translate into a wave of GOP victories. But they have rattled local campaigns and forced the Democrats to shift attention and money to races they didn’t expect to be defending.

Rising sentiment against the party in power has washed ashore even in coastal Oregon, where Democratic Rep. Peter DeFazio won his 10th re-election two years ago with 82% of the vote.

The media is underplaying this tremendously for fear of what is coming.

It’s finally reached the point where Stacy McCain has decided to drop everything and head up here He will be covering the races in ma-5, ma-6 and ma-10 but hopefully he will have time to get to WCRN tonight to join us since Bill Gunn from ma-1, Tom Wesley from ma-2 , and Marty Lamb from ma-3 will all be in the studio for the second hour.

Let me stress. All of these candidates can win their districts if you can help them out with either time or money!

Michael Graham has been following the McGovern campaign and what he is hearing is unbelievable:

I like to think I’m a jaded, cynical observer of Massachusetts politics, but when I read Rep. Jim McGovern’s claim to support cracking down on illegal immigration, I literally gasped out loud.

McGovern told the MetroWest Daily News that he “wants improved border security, visa monitoring and workplace enforcement and a streamlined process for coming to the country legally.”

Remember this is Massachusetts, the big liberal state that supposedly wouldn’t care about an issue like this, the state that the NYT insists there is no chance for any Republican to win in congress this year and McGovern is suddenly talking tough on immigration? But it gets better!

After repeated Internet searches, I couldn’t find one. So I called McGovern’s press office and asked them to send me a record of any such votes. Among other things, his office sent me – no joke – McGovern’s co-sponsorship of the House version of the McCain/Kennedy amnesty bill of 2007.emphasis mine

So he is counting supporting Amnesty as a vote to enforce immigration, and he expects the people of Massachusetts 3rd district to fall for that? There are 10 colleges in Worcester Mass. alone, do you think that some of them might be able to read his record?

If that’s not a reason to support Marty Lamb in ma-3 I’d like to know what is?

And Yes he was once a democrat, don’t forget, so was I, so was he and so was this guy.

My latest examiner article is about Congressional Candidate Marty Lamb running in the 3rd Massachusetts district. A Tea Party Candidate before Tea Parties were cool a snipit:

Lamb not only attended the April 14th Tax day tea party & CPAC but he attended Last year’s April 15th tea party and made the first announcement of his candidacy there at Boston Harbor.

This was during the early days of the tea party, the media was still trying to define them as a group of fringe people and the idea of unseating a Massachusetts democrat in congress was as far fetched as the idea of a republican taking over the senate seat held by Ted Kennedy.

As always you can find my other Examiner Articles here.

I know you were probably expecting another Georgia post, but I have files still uploading and laundry that has to do so I’ve been kinda slow this morning.

Oh and to the best of my knowledge the media STILL has not reported on this relative of Holocaust survivors being called a Nazi in Worcester. If I’m wrong feel free to correct me.
