McConnell to GOP GA voters: Stay Home! Biden’s Mayfly Voters, Missing the Lede on NFL ratings, A Medical Miracle & a 2A feature Under the Fedora

Given Mitch McConnell’s statement warning GOP senators not to challenge electors and force a senate vote I can’t see any incentive for GOP voters to turn out on January 5th for Kelly Loeffner or David Perdue unless they immediately and publicly vow to challenge said electors on the 6th if elected.

Both candidates should be made to commit to do so before a single conservative consents to vote for them.

Apparently Mitch McConnell would rather be the Senate Minority Leader for at least two years rather be majority leader and have his caucus have to vote to challenge electors in a fraudulent election.

Odd that the Democrats are not pushing for such a challenge by the GOP if it will be so fatal for the party isn’t it?

Joe Biden gave a key speech this week and managed only 52K live viewers watching it.

This is in the middle of a pandemic with people stuck at home after supposedly getting 80 million votes

Apparently the mythical Joe Biden voters who gave him the election are like Mayflies they exist and show activity for one day a year and then disappear.

I found these paragraphs from the WSJ piece on advertisers and the NFL amusing:

Much of the ratings drop is attributed to the 2020 presidential election coverage siphoning away viewers and the pandemic’s wreaking havoc on the league. Aside from reschedulings and some sidelined stars, the league has faced a backlash from some fans over its social justice efforts, including its embrace of Black Lives Matter. These factors are compounded by the secular decline of traditional TV viewing, in which ratings have been eroded by the uptick in ad-free streaming services.

I saw something that made me laugh out loud on twitter yesterday:

As you can see Vin is, in addition to a doctor, a NBC news and MSNBC news analyst and he had some big news.

Perhaps he should have also expressed some gratitude on the President who put Operation Warp Speed in place which made it possible.

Of course his gigs on NBC & MSNBC depend on him not doing so. After all “Do no Harm” as a rule for doctors has been replaced by “do no harm to Democrat election prospects”

Unexpectedly of course

Finally As I was writing this post an old tweet of mine from two years ago was retweeted and I found it particularly apt for what might be coming.

If there is a more important reminder to those who would enslave us I can’t think of it. I think it’s also worth pointing out that Democrat efforts to convince such heavily armed people that participating in the Democratic Process of a republic is a waste of time by openly stealing an election is short sighted and dangerous.

Republicans Learn Democrats do not

An excellent example of why Republicans are better than democrats. They can Learn, to wit Mitch McConnell:

“Make no mistake,” he added, “I know the good that has come from the projects I have helped support throughout my state. I don’t apologize for them. But there is simply no doubt that the abuse of this practice has caused Americans to view it as a symbol of the waste and the out-of-control spending that every Republican in Washington is determined to fight. And unless people like me show the American people that we’re willing to follow through on small or even symbolic things, we risk losing them on our broader efforts to cut spending and rein in government.”

So Mitch McConnell seeing the mood of the voters decided to respect their wishes. How about the democrats?

The word on the House Democratic caucus vote for minority leader is that Nancy Pelosi has won, 150 to 43.

An earlier measure to delay leadership votes until December garnered 68 votes in the caucus — not enough to carry, but perceived as an indication of uneasiness among some rank-and-filers about reelecting Pelosi. But a comfortable majority of the new minority seemed to have had no such qualms.

She led the party out of the wilderness but under her leadership, she led them right back in. Heaven forbid any of these clueless Dems stop to ponder the possibility that passing massive pieces of unpopular legislation was really the problem.

Still, this is incredible news for Republicans. Leaving Pelosi, Reid and Obama in place as the face of a liberal Democrat Party is nearly as shortsighted as passing that health care law and far less damaging – to the country anyway. For Democrats, hoping the independents they lost in droves this last cycle will forget the midnight Christmas eve votes and that comical gavel, Pelosi’s continued presence in leadership is the nightmare they deserve.

Democratic intransigence, the gift that keeps on giving.
