A clip was played from Ann Curry’s interview with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Morning Joe today. When asked if what he said means that Iran will not weaponize their nukes, he answers saying they don’t need it leading to the following exchange:

So does that mean your answer is no?

What do you mean by “No”? (That might not be exact when they play the clip again I’ll make sure to make it so.)

Curry then actually asks him if this is his final answer. She actually uses that phraseology.

The Irony of all of this is simply amazing. What was the truth last time when a president asked what the meaning of a simple word means?

I’m feeling better and better about this decision now.

Update: They didn’t replay the clip, I’m sure it will turn up somewhere.

Sept 16: The Daily Dish

The pioneer of the anti-Jihadist blog, Little Green Footballs, is repulsed by some of the developments on the populist, racist right. He’s right to be; and has the courage to say so. For that he is subjected to the usual mau-mauing. Check out his blog. It’s an Yglesias Award in motion

LGF Feb 17th:

There’s nothing like a left-handed compliment from Andrew Sullivan to totally creep you out.

The Daily Dish Dec 8 2008:

LGF and Michelle Malkin are gleeful because I called Andrew out over the Palin baby rumors, but I can’t imagine that either blog would ever allow this type of open debate.

LGF Dec 9th 2008:

http:/The key word in his response is “imagine,” because he apparently has an imaginary LGF in mind.

But “debating” a loony conspiracy theory? Hey, the Daily Dish has lots of that!

LGF April 5 2008:

Not a shred of the post-9/11 Sullivan remains; all that’s left is a rhetoric-spewing empty shill for “progressive” causes.

And finally July 1st 2006 lgf

Andrew Sullivan’s struggle with raging Bush Derangement Syndrome is over, and BDS won. He’s now become indistinguishable from Daily Kos

By the Lydia theory this poses trouble for the his blog.

I’m still hoping for an El-Cid ending to all of this with Charles in the role of Prince Alfonso.

After a pretty good week the president is off the wagon:

The Obama administration will scrap the controversial missile defense shield program in Eastern Europe, a senior administration official confirmed to CNN Thursday.

I’d keep an eye on Sarah Palin’s facebook page, this one is a fat pitch over the plate.

Lets cut to the Chase, Gates blather not withstanding the reason why the shipboard option is bad is because it is not actually in the country being protected so they have absolutely no control over their own defense or the decision to actually defend themselves.

This kind of stuff is sure going to provide an incentive for countries to be allied with us isn’t it?

That’s as Carter as you can get:

Carter 15 Arthur 9

This is a full You Fool moment:

Exit question: Is this the price from Russia keeping nukes out of Chavez’s hands and is this administration stupid enough to believe him? Can they learn from President Bush’s mistake concerning Vlad?

Update: Nothing on facebook yet but Conservatives for Palin has an awesome title post:

America’s New Foreign Policy – Speak Softly And Carry A Big “Kick Me” Sign……

Pretty good.

…Glenn Reynolds links false conspiracy theory suggesting 500k plus people at 9/12 march:

What can we take away from this exercise? Here are the main points:

* The estimate widely used in the legacy media is not from an authoritative source, and it isn’t even consistent with itself: “full back to 3rd Street” is around 250,000 by Park Sevice methods, not a quarter of that.
* Many estimates, using different assumptions and different methods, arrived at numbers well into the hundreds of thousands.
* This is clearly consistent with the panoramic photo that we can source reliably.
* With everything above, and with several more estimates, I don’t think there is a plausible argument for any total attendance figure much less that 500,000 to 600,000. That is, nearly ten times the reported attendance.

How much does this matter? It’s hard to say. It might be that a precise number isn’t needed, and at any rate it may not be possible to get a good one. What we can say is that the number being reported is wildly wrong. Wildly too small. In any case, the number that will really matter is the count at the polls in 2010 and 2012. Given this, I’d say that any politicians who hope to retain their jobs better look very carefully at that panoramic photo — and remember.

Sounds like a Glenn Beck fan to me, if only he based his posts on more credible sources, such as Press releases from Color of Change or Acorn.

Update fixed the block quote and added the fun catagory, I’m going to be laughing a lot today.

Update 2: I have it! He’s a 9/12 crowd truther!
