For Arizona Voters this will be the last day…

…that John McCain will be a hawk on immigration.

As everyone knows I have a lot more fondness for McCain (due to his critical part in the Iraq war victory) that my friend Barbara Espinosa who has spent the last several months effectively laying out the case against him.

As I mentioned yesterday I certainly would prefer him to the democratic alternative but people need to go into this election with their eyes wide open. If republicans in Arizona choose McCain over J. D. Hayworth (who is always described as a “radio show host” rather than the congressman that he was by the media) then you deserve all that you get from him during the next congress.

You have absolutely no excuse, there is no way you can be deceived unless you let yourself. McCain is going to turn on a dime once this election is done, so when he does I don’t want to hear one word of complaint from republicans who support him.

It’s your choice not mine. I hope you make a wise one.

You would think the candidate of a sitting president beating the candidate for a former president would not be big news. However this is the MSM and their anointed candidate is on the throne in office.

Robert Stacy McCain who has a highly attuned and refined BS detector is having none of it:

Really? I mean, really? The hand-picked establishment candidate won in the Colorado Democratic primary, while grassroots conservatives defeated the establishment pick in the GOP primary, and that’s good news for Democrats? That their party base is less fired-up than the Republican grassroots in a mid-term election where turnout is the name of the game?

He also points out that this is a defeat for John McCain, his advice?

Stop looking forward to 2012 – i.e., how did the Palin Factor play? — and focus on the here and now.

the Bob Ingles media crying tour stops at the NY Daily News

It just might be a guess but I’ll wager Mike Lupica before today has written about Rep Bob Ingles nearly once

Rep. Bob Inglis, a voice of reason at a dumb, unreasonable time in American politics, is one of them. Inglis (R-S.C.) will be out of a job soon for not hating Barack Obama nearly enough. The irony, he says, is that he disagrees with Obama on almost everything.

Inglis, a conservative Republican from a state so red you worry it might set itself on fire, used to go after Bill Clinton with everything he had. But these days he comes up an even better American than a Republican, speaking his own mind, refusing to join a chorus of idiots and call Obama his enemy, or an enemy of the state. Inglis’ state or anybody else’s.

Nothing proves the tea parties ejection of Inglis more than his sudden deification by the liberal media. Read the column, it is a love letter to Ingles, if they were in Massachusetts they’d be booking a hall. All because he has been rejected by Conservative Republicans and the tea party and has been crying to the media ever since as if he had a divine right to the nomination.

I think Mr. Lupica has caught Scarborough Syndrome. Like Joe who will forever think that there are only 50 Al Qaeda in Afghanistan Mike Lupica will always think that president Obama has the approval rating he did on Jan 21 2009 and republicans should act accordingly

Jim McKenna needs your help to unseat Martha Coakley

One of the great embarrassments of this year on the Republican side was the fact that after her humiliating defeat by Scott Brown in January no republican got on the ballot to oppose her in the fall.

Jim McKenna however is trying to reverse this mistake, he is launching a sticker campaign for the Republican primaries. If he can get 10,000 sticker votes during the primary he will be on the November ballot and we will have the chance to retire Martha Coakley permanently.

Not getting on the ballot initially was a mistake but there is no reason why we can’t make up for that mistake on primary day.
