Mitch McConnell is the poster child for everything that is wrong with the Republican Party.  He is a swamp dweller who all too often conspires with Democrats in their dismantling of the United States.  Long ago he declared war on conservative republicans in the United States Senate.

Just this week Mitch McConnell engaged in his greatest betrayal of the American people when he caved to radical Democrats who seek to cram the Journalism Competition Preservation Act into the latest National Defense Authorization Act.  McConnell’s latest betrayal is captured in this Breitbart article.

Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell has caved to outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and will allow the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to include the highly controversial media cartel bill the Journalism Competition and Preservation Act (JCPA), sources familiar with the matter told Breitbart News.

Democrats have been pushing the JCPA intensely because it is nothing more than a scheme to censor conservatives and other right wingers.

The JCPA, essentially a transfer of wealth from Silicon Valley to the discredited and distrusted corporate legacy media, is highly controversial. Beyond the financial payouts to media companies, they will be able to form a “joint negotiating entity”—a cartel, immune from antitrust law—to negotiate with Big Tech companies on the “terms and conditions” for carrying their content.

Censorship is sure to be a frequent demand of media companies. Despite provisions in the bill that purportedly stop media companies from negotiating the suppression of any one competitor, there is nothing to stop them asking their content to be prioritized over broadly-drawn categories that are used as pretexts for censorship, like “disinformation.”

As usual Democrats try hard to obscure their misdeeds through word games and legal charades.

Even with the hastily-added Senate amendment aimed at addressing conservative concerns regarding collusion between the media industry and Big Tech on the censorship of competitors, the bill still contains plenty of ways for the cartel to sideline conservative media.

Provisions to ensure the cartel cannot discriminate on the basis of “viewpoint” are particularly unconvincing. The pretexts used by social media companies, “fact checkers,” and other arms of the corporate censorship apparatus are almost always viewpoint-neutral. No one is censored for being a conservative, say the censors: they are censored for “misinformation,” “hate speech,” “conspiracy theories,” and other purportedly viewpoint-neutral reasons.

Both George Washington and John Adams warned strenuously against dividing the United States into two political parties.  They have been proven correct over and over again.  Mitch McConnell’s latest betrayal is more proof that they were right.

Things appear to be rather bleak here in the United Sates after the theft of at least four senatorial seats by the Democrats in last Tuesday’s midterm elections, along with the possible theft of some House seats.  There is a very strong temptation amongst Conservatives and Libertarians to simply give up.  I have spoken to several fellow right-wingers who have stated that they have in fact given up because they believe there is no hope left for the United States.

There have been many times in this nation’s past when things have been even more dire.  What has pulled us through has always been Patriotic Americans who have a never say die attitude.  Rugged individualists who fight the good fight against unbeatable odds have accomplished miracles, no scenario is more American.

There are many things us patriots can do to fix things before all hope is lost.  It will be a long tough road. There are a great many obstacles in the way, placed there by both the Democrats and Republicans.

Most important, we need to wake people up.  Social media should have been the perfect tool to accomplish this. Rampant censorship of those who oppose the progressive agenda makes waking up those in need difficult.  Hopefully Elon Musk will turn things around on Twitter.  I’m not holding my breath.  When my lifetime ban is lifted I’ll be most surprised.

Us patriots need to work to gain more control and influence over the Republican Party.  The Republican establishment is only slightly better than the Democratic Party.  This can happen slowly, starting on the local level, and building from there.

We need to make sure the Republican Party does one of two things.  Firstly, we need to make sure the Republicans overturn all of the dirty tricks the Democrats have used to steal the presidential and midterm elections.  Unlimited mail in ballots, ballot harvesting, and massive dumps of fraudulent ballots all need to end.  Until the Republicans fix our broken electoral system, they need to learn how to be competitive in the mess we have now.

There is so much more we can do before all hope is lost.

The Democratic Party is trying very hard to make sure they lose the upcoming midterm elections.  Unfortunately for the United States, Republicans are working just as hard to lose.

The midterm elections should be an overwhelming victory for the Republican Party.  The American people are truly suffering because of rampant inflation caused by Democrat’s economic policies.  Gas prices have nearly doubled thanks to the stealth Green New Deal enacted by the Democrats.

Culturally the Democrat party is widely out of step with the American people.  Just look at what the Democrats stand for, transgenderism, abortion, intolerance for the American Founding Principles, and so much more.

With just under two months to go, the polls are a bit disconcerting.  This is bad news for Republicans, and most importantly, bad news for the American people.  The fault lies with the Republican party, as you can see from this Brietbart article.

Unfortunately for Republicans, most voters — 56.1 percent — said Republicans have not made a strong enough case to warrant their support. Just one-third, 33.9 percent, said they have, and ten percent remain unsure.

Predictably, 87.1 percent of Democrats said the GOP has not done enough to make a strong case for their support, but a smaller majority of Republicans, 61.1 percent, said they have made a sufficient case, compared to 25.9 percent of Republicans who disagree.

Perhaps most concerning for the GOP is the fact that 57.2 percent of independents agree that Republicans have not done enough to make their case as the midterm elections approach. Just 28 percent of independents say Republicans have made their case, and 14.8 percent remain unsure.

What are the Republicans actually doing when they should be making their case to the American people?  Check out this Politico article.

Mitch McConnell is among the myriad Republicans questioning the Senate GOP’s quality of candidates in the midterms. Rick Scott wants everyone to stop doubting his recruits.

“Sen. McConnell and I clearly have a strategic disagreement here … We have great candidates,” the National Republican Senatorial Committee chair said in an interview Wednesday. “He wants to do the same thing I want to do: I want to get a majority. And I think it’s important that we’re all cheerleaders for our candidates.”

Republican Senators are now focusing on issues that will turn off independents and fence sitters, who are needed to ensure a Republican victory.

Just yesterday, Sen. Marco Rubio submitted a bill to prohibit protestors from blocking interstate highways.

While in itself, this bill is needed at some point, other things are needed much earlier. Like now.

This is the second time in as many days that a denizen of Congress (Sen. Lindsey Graham) came up with a bill that is far less pressing compared with the other far more dangerous issues we face.

He wants a ban on late-term abortions

Banning late-term abortions is not on the radar of most Americans in this very dangerous time of malignant inflation and cultural collapse.

I applaud both efforts, however, the timing for these bills is far from ideal, and of questionable constitutionality.

If the Republicans want to win the midterm elections, they immediately need to take lessons from Governor Ron DeSantis.

“We’ll hold Biden accountable,” DeSantis told guest host Raymond Arroyo. “This is a referendum on his failures, make sure everybody knows how his policies have contributed to the mess we’re in, and then articulate what you will do to address things like the border, like crime, like inflation. I think if you do that, I think Republicans are going to win both chambers. And I think it’ll be a really good night.”

Not everything went well in the Virginia elections, and its important to point out what could be better.

Let’s look at fundraising, specifically for the House of Delegates. Now, the House of Delegates doesn’t get as much attention as the governor race, but all 100 delegates were up for election, and since they make the laws, having control is important. In close races, Republicans fell short on fundraising by a lot, and had they raised a bit more, might have swung a few more elections.

In District 10, Republicans lost by ~500 votes, but were outspent by over 1 million dollars

In District 21, Republicans lost by ~200 votes, but were outspent by $500,000 dollars

In District 93, Republicans lost by ~1,000 votes, but were outspent $333K to $62K

Clearly, this is a problem. Spending doesn’t always predict winning (see NJ) but it does enable more ads, more flyers, more rallies and more travel. Delegates don’t get big press coverage and struggle to get their name out there, and fundraising makes all the difference.

Let’s talk about apathy next. While there was a lot of energy, there are nearly as many curmudgeons that refused to vote, refused to donate, and refused to be poll watchers, but had plenty of time to whine and complain about politics. I’ll call these people the “Commenting Peasants,” because they won’t lift a finger to help the issues that they claim to care about, but many are all thumbs when making comments on Reddit or other social media sites. Republicans have a lot of these people. Close elections, especially delegate elections, come down to very few votes, and unless people start shaming these “Commenting Peasants” to stick their comments where the sun doesn’t shine and get their butts out to vote, Republicans will continue to lose close elections.

Early voting is here to stay, yet Republicans didn’t have a “drive to vote” group going. That was a huge mistake. The Campaign Sidekick app I had told me to ask people about who they would vote for, but I had no way of putting someone on a list to be driven to a voting station. Why on earth not?

Lastly, why on earth didn’t we hear more from Winsome Sears and Jason Miyares? In person, these people are excellent speakers, better in my opinion than Youngkin. I’ll say it now, Sears needs to be groomed to run for governor next time around. These two should have been featured in more ads and more speaking engagements.

That’s the bad as I see it. Nothing critical that cost Republicans, but plenty of areas where more attention could have picked up more votes and more delegate seats.
