It just might be a guess but I’ll wager Mike Lupica before today has written about Rep Bob Ingles nearly once

Rep. Bob Inglis, a voice of reason at a dumb, unreasonable time in American politics, is one of them. Inglis (R-S.C.) will be out of a job soon for not hating Barack Obama nearly enough. The irony, he says, is that he disagrees with Obama on almost everything.

Inglis, a conservative Republican from a state so red you worry it might set itself on fire, used to go after Bill Clinton with everything he had. But these days he comes up an even better American than a Republican, speaking his own mind, refusing to join a chorus of idiots and call Obama his enemy, or an enemy of the state. Inglis’ state or anybody else’s.

Nothing proves the tea parties ejection of Inglis more than his sudden deification by the liberal media. Read the column, it is a love letter to Ingles, if they were in Massachusetts they’d be booking a hall. All because he has been rejected by Conservative Republicans and the tea party and has been crying to the media ever since as if he had a divine right to the nomination.

I think Mr. Lupica has caught Scarborough Syndrome. Like Joe who will forever think that there are only 50 Al Qaeda in Afghanistan Mike Lupica will always think that president Obama has the approval rating he did on Jan 21 2009 and republicans should act accordingly

Memeorandum thread here.

Here is a snippit:

“People are tired of the government, they have the feeling they aren’t being listened to and I’m offering a representative that will listen to them and abide by the Constitution,” Gunn said before the meeting started.

Gunn said he has strong Libertarian views on most issues.

He is a private contractor from Ware whose company had seven employees but downsized to two as the economy faltered.

Gunn said he opposed the Troubled Asset Relief Program bill and the stimulus bill, as well as Cap and Trade reform.

The federal government needs to curb spending and cut taxes, he said.

Many federal departments such as the Department of Energy, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Agriculture Department are unnecessary, Gunn said.

This makes two days in a row that the Sentinel had something to do with the tea party on the front page. Tuesday they covered the Twin City tea Party candidate forum. It’s a good sign.

As you know I was also there, here is the first of the video’s I shot, I will append the others as they upload.

I have some errands to run so it might be a little while before it is all up.

UPDATE: Here is the rest of the Town Hall in sequence:

Big Government has ’em.

I’m deeply concerned that the NAACP is being used as a political tool to do the dirty work of the progressive movement. I urge blacks concerned about the tea parties to read the Contract from America — a list of policy objectives for Congress that was developed by tea party members nationwide. These objectives are clearly about limited government and liberty. In fact, the NAACP should be very concerned Obama’s cap-and-trade energy policy will lead to higher energy prices and higher unemployment – particularly among poor and minority households.

Kevin Martin:

To label peaceful political dissent as racists is akin to the behavior of the segregationists who once labeled the peaceful dissent lead by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as troublemaking. The founders of the NAACP must be rolling in their graves at the thought that dissent against an unfair system is now considered a reason for NAACP condemnation.

R. Dozier Gray:

I wish I could be surprised that the NAACP has passed a resolution condemning the tea party movement because of alleged racism. Unfortunately, I am not. But I really just don’t get it. It’s as if simply not being totally in the Obama camp makes one automatically anti-black.

Robin Martin:

I condemn the NAACP because they are no longer advancing the cause of freedom and equality. They are instead advancing a sophomoric, short sighted, and reactionary resolution to brand the Tea Party Movement as “racist”. They act as a police group for racial bigotry but only as it pertains to black people — notice the silence of the NAACP regarding the Black Panther member’s call to bash the heads of white babies. It’s unfortunate that the NAACP has become nothing more than a divisive cabal of Black Quasi-Socialist Progressive Fundamentalist Racism Chasers who are more interested in identity politics than they are in a prosperous and free nation.

Lt. Col Allen West:

This NAACP Resolution is consistent with the Obama administration tactic of demonizing and blaming someone else for your own failures and shortcomings, and not take responsibility and accountability.

Cedra Crenshaw:

Chicago Machine Democrats claim to be the party of diversity and inclusion, yet if you are a Black, conservative Republican mother, with a professional background in accounting, supported by the tea party movement, Chicago Machine Democrats do not encourage this type of diversity. Instead they unjustly knock you off the ballot and then talk about the lack of diversity in the Republican party and the tea party movement. The NAACP plays right into this scam.

I encourage NAACP members and convention delegates to attend a tea party event and get first hand knowledge about the true purpose of the tea party movement: limited government, fiscal responsibility, and individual liberty. The NAACP needs to leave the racism where it belongs – with the Chicago Machine Democrats.

and lets finish with Marie Stoughter

What saddens me is that this organization chooses to focus on imaginary slights, while real threats to this country exist in the form of New Black Panther members who have been caught on tape intimidating voters with billy clubs. Rather than condemning this behavior, it is largely ignored by the NAACP and a presidential administration that continues to refuse to prosecute such.

The Tea Party uses “racial epithets?” I soundly condemn the NAACP for failing to rebuke the New Black Panther members for inciting racial hatred (“explicitly racist behavior”) and, yes, actually using racial epithets as evidenced by the ranting of King Samir Shabazz caught on tape.

“We’re deeply concerned about elements that are trying to move the country back, trying to reverse progress that we’ve made,” said NAACP spokeswoman Leila McDowell. “We are asking that the law-abiding members of the Tea Party repudiate those racist elements . . . that are within the Tea Party movement.”

This statement reeks of the hypocrisy that has really held this country back.

You can see on memorandum that the MSM will not talk to any of these people, it doesn’t fit the narrative.

As of 6:15 a.m. Hasn’t noticed the NAACP stuff, they are talking Politico and her running but not the NAACP stuff. I’ll keep you posted.

6:19 a.m. They go back to Fox and Kelly & Powers but they won’t talk about the issue yet.

6:26 a.m. They are talking about Palin’s fundraisering and not the NAACP stuff? Is there an order from on high to avoid this?

6:27 a.m. Willie mentions she was on facebook yesterday and nobody touches it, not even politico.

6:28 a.m. Mika is saying she is running and has no patience for anyone who suggests otherwise.

6:44 a.m. They are talking Crist and Pelosi. Joe says the democrats are trying to kill Crist. HA!

Forgot to mention that Tina Brown suggested that Democrats should want Palin running because she is a pushover. HA!

6:53 a.m. They are about to go back to the FoxFight, will they mention the underlying issue?

6:57 a.m. Mika asks what the point was, and the guys mention the New Black Panther voter intimidation business in passing, then go to Mel Gibson.

7:15 a.m. Budget & BP but no NAACP. It is just apparently too dangerous to risk having to give voice to black republican candidates for congress that a link to Palin’s statement might entail.

7:53 a.m. First budget stuff then Pete Carroll they are apparently not going to touch this with a ten foot pole.

8:00 a.m. I guess they must be reading. They finally mention it and try to connect it to the billboard in Iowa.

8:07 a.m. Joe is saying this is foolish but attacks Michele Bachmann.

8:25 a.m. Talking Larry King and Despicable Me, they haven’t touched on the Palin Johnson engagement. It will make Mika’s head explode.

8:42 a.m. Schumer talking about the BP Libyan release link. It is a legit story but there is a reason why it is pushed now.

8:50 a.m. Burns on the Steinbrenner. Did he just say they updated the wonderful “Baseball” to include the Red Sox win in the series? Not sure that’s what I heard, I hope so.

8:56 a.m. He is, they are YES!
