5:29 p.m. Roxeanne made it in for the 2nd segment talking Worcester 6th and Ken Gladney

4:55 p.m. Roxeanne is stuck in traffic might be running late, John Weston of Conservatively Speaking is in the studio and he will be briefly on to talk about what happened in Southbridge as he was an eyewitness.

DaWife is crocheting next to me I’m going over some show prep. Roxeanne hasn’t arrived yet but I’ve talked to both her and Stacy and we are ready to go.

I suspect this couple would have most likely aborted their child without this poll so I’d much rather they have the vote.

It may seem like an odd type of grace, but if by grace they get the chance to avoid a mortal sin then who am I to question the way God decides to deliver that grace? I think it is much better to say thank God for the chance both to save an innocent live and to help save the souls of this couple.

Question: How can you tell the election season is over?

The Obama Administration plans to withdraw National Guard troops from the Texas, New Mexico and California borders by the end February under a new Southwest security plan, even as turmoil in Mexican border cities grows, according to documents obtained by The Washington Examiner.

A letter sent to various members of the Texas Congressional delegation from Texas’ Gov. Rick Perry’s office says, “In February, 2011, the Texas, New Mexico, and California National Guard forces that were deployed to the border in September, 2010, under President’s Obama’s Southwest Border Augmentation Plan, will have 30 days to complete a total draw down of forces.”

The election is over and they will not need those votes for another 18 months, time to build good will with the MayDay March Crowd again.

To those of you who don’t think your vote matters the Worcester 6th district says think again:

Republican Peter J. Durant maintained the slimmest of margins — one vote — and declared victory over state Rep. Geraldo Alicea in the 6th Worcester District race yesterday afternoon, based on the last of five recounts held this week.

However, Mr. Alicea, D-Charlton, said he will challenge the result in court, based on an uncounted absentee ballot in Southbridge.

In the final recount here yesterday, the two-hour tally produced four candidate challenges, but no changes in the result of the Nov. 2 election.

So after 5 recounts the republican is still ahead by a single vote, so what is a democrat to do? Why go to court of course!

Mr. Alicea said as votes were being counted yesterday that if nothing changed in the recount in Oxford, he would go to court over an uncounted absentee ballot from Southbridge.

“It’s a process that could take several months,” Mr. Alicea said.

The recount that cut Mr. Durant’s lead from 4 votes to 1 votes has been….interesting:

Questions arose after Durant supporters noticed that the ballot storage box for that precinct did not appear to be properly locked.

Hardwick Town Moderator Ryan J. Witkos, who was observing the count for Mr. Durant, said the box was affixed with one rather than two locks. He said he asked Town Clerk Madaline I. Daoust to try to open the box before cutting the lock and “it was able to be opened like it had never been sealed.”emphasis mine

The disputed absentee ballot, which was deemed spoiled, was from that precinct.

I’m shocked SHOCKED. You would think there were all kinds of interesting events going on this election.
