Never doubt DaTechGuy’s Laws of media Outrage

Yesterday I had friends over and did not go to my laptop until rather late in the day when I discovered this was going on:
Colleyville, TX synagogue held hostage during livestreamed service; police negotiating with man. “A source on the scene told ABC News that an armed suspect took a rabbi and three others hostage and claims to have bombs in unknown locations.
A little more:
An apparently armed man took a rabbi and his congregants hostage at a Texas synagogue Saturday, demanding US authorities release a convicted terrorist known as “Lady al-Qaeda” — and phoning a New York City rabbi in a bizarre bid for help, according to sources and reports.
So an armed man takes Jewish Hostages in a synagogue on the Sabbath and demands the release of an Al-Qaeda terrorist. Guess what the first reaction of the usual suspects was:
Because Islam of course is the victim here
News organizations played along with this business in their headlines with the BBC putting hostage in quotes and the telegraph describing the hostage taker in their lead as a: “man with English accent”
Maybe is was Cary Elwes
And the AP jumped right on the “Nothing to do with Islamic Terrorism vs Jews” with the help of an FBI whose capacity to throw what little credibility they still have left out the window has not yet reached its full potential.
Now I’m going to be there were a lot of other possible targets in a place as large as Texas that could have been targeted but he managed to find a Jewish Synagogue in the state for his crime.
Perhaps he figured that based on voting patterns in America it was the target in the state least likely to be populated by armed civilians.
But anyways it’s all over. The hostages have been freed the terrorist is dead and the Al Qaeda member in jail is still in jail (at least until her supporters discover the joys and investment potential of Hunter Biden’s artwork) and the story is done.
And when I say “done” I mean it? Why? Because of DaTechGuy’s 3rd law of Media Outrage:
The MSM’s elevation and continued classification of any story as Nationally Newsworthy rather than only of local interest is in direct correlation to said story’s current ability to affirm any current Democrat/Liberal/Media meme/talking point, particularly on the subject of race or sexuality.
If the hostage taker had been a Trump supporter or in DC on January 6th or had expressed a desire for Ron DeSantis in Florida or even had suggested that there had been the slightest possibility of fraud in the last election rest assured you would be able to find stories concerning this attack for days and weeks to come so if you were engrossed in the NFL’s wild card weekend you could catch up in a hurry once the games were done.
Alas it was an Islamist, targeting a Jewish Synagogue on the the Jewish Sabbath to release a member of Al Qaeda which means the story will be gone fast than you can say James T Hodgkinson, Terryous Jorelle Baker , Darrell Brooks or Molly Norris.
Unexpectedly of course.
Update; Told YA
The one thing I was sure about before the vote was that the three liberal justices would vote as a block. On any item the left is concerned about the justices of the left always do because that is the first requirement for being considered by any democrat.
On the right it’s a tad tougher to guess, Thomas and Alito will always vote original intent so I was pretty sure on them. The three justices appointed by Trump could go either way because it would depend on how they saw the law as written but if there was one thing I knew it was this.
When it came to Justice Roberts Old Yellowstain I knew that if the five other conservatives stuck together he would vote with them, but if he was the deciding vote to put Biden over the top he would vote with the left as he always does when he can save their bacon.
I wonder what they have on him?
What really jumped out at me was the oral arguments and the open misinformation that the three justices of the left paroted.
You can be sure that it came from their aids and clerks who got that info from the left/media.
In past days a justice would be upset at being publicly embarrassed in this way but I’ve reach the point where I don’t expect better from the left and even at this level they never disappoint.
I was watching the SCOTUS ruling with great anticipation on mandates. All of the members of my family, me, my wife and my sons were considered essential when the pandemic started and were working though all that took place. None of us have taken the vaccine flu shot that is being offered. So the ability of every single one of us to stay employed was on the line.
Funny how that goes, when the establishment needed us to carry on we were essential, now our fate came down to nine justices to decided if the left could order us to risk our lives for nothing.
The ruling itself was a mixed blessing for us. For my youngest and myself it was a big win, for my oldest and DaWife it was a catastrophic loss as both are in the healthcare field. My oldest has a religious exemption and the letter he wrote to request it was in my opinion a thing of art. it’s something that I wished I had wrote. DaWife had a religious exemption in a previous job but the company suddenly decided to no longer honor it. She had gotten an out of state license for a while before finding a job at a place that isn’t taking federal funds but we have no assurance that they won’t cave.
Yet another cost of the stolen election.
That’s the real final thought here. None of this comes up if SCOTS doesn’t duck the question of the stolen election.
All of this BS has it’s root in this and there is a tad of irony given the highly Catholic composition of the court.
The abuse scandal that rocked the church two decades or so ago had it’s roots in Catholic Bishops not having the courage to take the short term hit that exposing and making an example of the largely Gay priests who were preying on boys. (78% of the cases) and thus the church and it’s members suffered and still suffers the consequences of the fallout of said cowardice both financial and in those victimized.
The largely Catholic SCOTUS did not have the courage to openly expose what happened in 2020, their decision to duck has and will continue to cost this country for decades to come.
Today the Daily Mail online ran photos of Jeffrey Epstein bringing young women to the White House during the presidency of Bill Clinton:
Jeffrey Epstein paid more than a dozen visits to the Clinton White House throughout the former president’s first few years in office – even bringing along with him multiple women, including four known to be his girlfriends, DailyMail.com can reveal.
Unearthed visitor logs last month confirmed the late pedophile had visited the Executive Mansion at least 17 times during Bill Clinton‘s first term, beginning shortly after his inauguration in 1993.
All of this is coming out as Epstein is long dead and despite soundings concerning Hillary in 2024 Bill Clinton is likely not going to be any closer to the White House than I am.
But it reminded me of the days when this blog was going strong before our sudden (unexpected crash in readership. That’s when I ran this piece that follows…
11th Doctor: (Showing Psychic paper to young Kazran) I think you’ll find I’m universally recognised as a mature and responsible adult.
Young Kazran Sardic: (confused) It’s just a lot of wavy lines.
11th Doctor: (looking at psychic paper) Yeah, it’s shorted out. Finally, a lie too big.
Doctor Who, A Christmas Carol 2010
It’s axiomatic that sex sells so when you combine the words: “Private Island”, “Lawsuit” & “Orgies” you have a story that normally is guaranteed viral:
Tales of orgies and young girls being shipped to the island, called Little St. James, have been revealed as part of an ongoing lawsuit between Epstein and his former lawyers Scott Rothstein and Bradley Edwards.
Young girls shipped to a private island for sex that’s gotta be worth headlines.
It is unclear what the basis of the suit is, but they go on to call witness testimony from some of the frequent guests at Epstein’s island to talk about the wild parties that were held there in the early 2000s.
The woman went on to say how orgies were a regular occurrence and she recalled two young girls from New York who were always seen around the five-house compound but their personal backstories were never revealed.
Given that kind of stuff one might wonder why this story involving Jeffrey Epstein, who was already jailed once for sex crimes got no traction last month? It’s just the type of thing to draw eyeballs. What could possibly cause the mainstream to give this story a pass?
A new lawsuit has revealed the extent of former President Clinton’s friendship with a fundraiser who was later jailed for having sex with an underage prostitute. Bill Clinton’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, who served time in 2008 for his illegal sexual partners, included up multiple trips to the onetime billionaire’s private island in the Caribbean where underage girls were allegedly kept as sex slaves. . . .
Did someone say Bill Clinton?
Flight logs pinpoint Clinton’s trips on Epstein’s jet between the years 2002 and 2005, while he was working on his philanthropic post-presidential career and while his wife Hillary was a Senator for their adopted state of New York. ‘I remember asking Jeffrey what’s Bill Clinton doing here kind fo thing, and he laughed it off and said well he owes me a favor,’ one unidentified woman said in the lawsuit, which was filed in Palm Beach Circuit Court.
Oh that explains why the only place I saw it was at Stacy McCain site last month.
If there is one thing the media that loves to play the War on Women® card doesn’t want to touch it’s a story about people using their own private island to get laid that involves Bill Clinton.
What could the media do if this story involving the former father of the year? They would call it old news, not relevant, dirty tricks from a salacious lawsuit that doesn’t even involve him and an attack on Hillary that crosses the line. In fact the left will deploy a plethora of adjectives to discourage further discussion of this story from antiquated to zany, but there is one adjective that could not come out of their mouth to dismiss this story:
The last few years have proven that the left can convince a low information voter of a lot of things, but even the full power of the mainstream media and the strongest zealots from the War on Women® brigade would not be able to convince the American public that Bill Clinton would have no interest or business on a private island where orgies took place.
That’s why you didn’t see this story in the news last month and why as the case moves forward you’ll not see it covered period.
The media stayed away from this story at the time I did not and as you contemplate this and I contemplate all the weird troubles that this blog has had since that date let me remind you of one fact.
Hey wasn’t Stacy McCain who also wrote about this suspended from twitter during the 2016 campaign when he would be in a position to highlight the pieces he wrote on this subject to a large audiance?
