I’d like to say I was shocked by this story

And a Catholic dad with seven children warranted the full wrath of Joe Biden’s DOJ, with a SWAT raid on the family home at 7:05 a.m.

According to Ryan-Marie’s account, there were 25-30 agents in 15 cars. They surrounded the house with rifles in firing position, and “started pounding on the door and yelling for us to open it.”

Mark replied, “Please, I’m going to open the door, but, please, my children are in the home. I have seven babies in the house.”

“But they just kept pounding and screaming,” the mother said. “They had big, huge rifles pointed at Mark and pointed at me and kind of pointed throughout the house,” and ordered the children upstairs. “The kids were all just screaming. It was all just very scary and traumatic.”

This should terrify every American. Mark Houck isn’t a drug lord or a mass murderer. He was involved in a minor scuffle at an abortion clinic, and now he’s facing a possible sentence of 11 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and fines of up to $350,000 if convicted.

…but there is a commandment against false witness.

I have several thoughts that I’ve already tweeted out but there are worth repeating here:

  1. This is just the sort of thing a completely legitimately elected administration does with what has become its secret police
  2. That this is all about intimidation is proven by the overwhelming armed force 25 armed men to arrest a guy who spends his time praying? If they were just interested in enforcing the law two guys with a warrant could have shown up and he would have come quietly
  3. You will never see this version of the FBI take this kind of action against ANTIFA or any of those burning down US cities, those folks tend to shoot back, much after to go up against people whose primary weapon is prayer.
  4. That the @FBI has stooped this low is a disgrace, but that won’t be the opinion of the MSM till the #gop is in charge & starts returning the favor
  5. I expect to see a lot of agents who are on the fence about this stuff assigned to these kind of raids in the future in order to put “blood on their hands” so to speak to make them less willing to speak out if there is ever an investigation about this stuff.
  6. I expect to see a lot more of this particularly before the election in the hopes that one of these people will decide to resist or that it provokes a violent reaction that can justify even more repressive actions.
  7. This is also why I think the left with the full help of the will be fixing elections for years to come. Because those who have crossed so many lines won’t be anxious to be out of power and risk being held responsible by people who actually believe in the rule of law.
  8. I’ve met with and marched with and participated in many prayer vigils in front of abortion clinics. That could have been me, one of my sons or any of a hundred people I know.
  9. I’ve often said nobody does good better than a good catholic and nobody does evil better than a bad one. Joe Biden & co are doing theirs best to prove me right.
  10. I know I’ve said this before but it’s worth repeating, when the left eventually loses power I expect the official line from a lot of FBI agents questioned by this will be: “I was only following orders”

Finally let me point out that Christ himself has predicted this kind of thing here:

“I have told you this so that you may not fall away. They will expel you from the synagogues; in fact, the hour is coming when everyone who kills you will think he is offering worship to God. They will do this because they have not known either the Father or me.

John 16:1-3

and here:

If the world hates you, realize that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, the world would love its own; but because you do not belong to the world, and I have chosen you out of the world, the world hates you. Remember the word I spoke to you, ‘No slave is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. And they will do all these things to you on account of my name, because they do not know the one who sent me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin; but as it is they have no excuse for their sin. Whoever hates me also hates my Father.

John 15:18-23

Experience keeps a dear School, but Fools will learn in no other

One of the things that I’ve always found amazing is that people repeatedly fall for the same old tricks. A great example of this is question 1 in Massachusetts which in their ads promises a giant windfall of tax revenue for all kinds of things by raising taxes on millionares.

Now this has been tried in states like NY and it has led to the plunging of tax revenues as people already with reasons to leave blue states have decided to take off.

Massachusetts being Massachusetts I don’t expect it to be easy to convince people that they are cutting their own throats but it seems to be there is one way that it could be done. If I was running the campaign to stop question one my ad would look something like this:

Hi I’m governor Ron DeSantis of the Great State of Florida
As governor of Florida is it my duty to advance the interests of my state and its people.
That’s why I urge voters in Massachusetts to vote YES on Question 1
Question 1 will enact a significant tax on your state’s highest earners who also tend to the the most mobile
New York state enacted such a tax and now tens of thousands of high earning and productive New Yorkers are now residents of Florida enjoying our warm weather, beautiful beaches and low taxes
We look forward to augmenting that number with tens of thousands more high earning and productive people from Massachusetts who will decide not to wait till retirement age to enjoy all the pleasures and opportunities that Florida offers
And have no fear, you can rest assured that my administration in Florida will pay back your generosity in providing us which such citizens by continuing our efforts to increase the diversity of your state via bus and plane so your state that takes pains to declare itself a sanctuary for all who come to America illlegally can demonstrate the virtue that it signals to all the world. It’s a win win!
So do your share to help keep Florida great and vote ‘Yes” on Question 1 this fall. My administration will be forever grateful.

I admit you might have to trim the wording a little for a one minute ad but once you have it down I’d be running this ad on a loop throughout the state.

Odd Ime Udoka Thoughts Under the Fedora

Posted: September 23, 2022 by datechguy in Uncategorized

The fall of the Celtics Coach now suspended for a year is a great example of how fast a person can fall.

Mark Twain famously said:

Of all the delights of this world man cares most for sexual intercourse. He will go any length for it-risk fortune, character, reputation, life itself.

While there is always the odd exception for the most part he was spot on.

We still don’t know most of the story here but it would seem to me that a man like Ime Udoka, the head coach of a major team would not have a hard time finding women willing to put out. That he was either unable to do so outside the organization or was unwilling to hold himself back within it is rather amazing to me.

Of course to some who think such a situation is their divine right any bit of restraint is unwelcome.

I must confess I’m not feeling a lot of sympathy for Nia Long his “longtime partner” and finance who was reportedly “blindsided” by this.

According to this story, she’s been with Udoka since 2010, had a son with him in 2011 and they’ve been engaged since 2015.

Since 2015?

It seems to me that it would take a lot of effort to ignore what was going on and based on the Celtics reaction this doesn’t seem like a new problem but there is almost no limit to what a person will delude themselves when they wish to.

If this guy was really seriously he would have married her before the kid was born, on the plus side at least (to our knowledge) he didn’t push for an abortion.

Udoka players are not pleased with the situation. Given that he brought them within 2 wins of a title I can’t say as I blame them, but it’s Udoka’s own fault.

Given the reputations of athletes and women it will be interesting to see how much blame they assign to him vs the team or the staff or even to the woman or women involved.

Finally I’m shocked that this is a one year suspension. If this is as bad as I think it is, then it’s unlikely they will be bringing him back

I’d like to have had a listening device in the room when that security company made its report. It would be interesting to know why they didn’t decide to just cut bait.

I suspect there will be a lot of leaks over the next year , if that doesn’t cause them to dump him I don’t know what will be.

People think of the Bible as simply a book about religion and of course as the inspired word of God it is but there are basic life lessons about human nature that transcend time, which is why it’s such a great teaching tool for how to live a moral life and how to deal with the time we fall.

If you want to understand why the left is so concerned about hiding what its doing from public consumption take a lesson from the story of David and Bathsheba from the 2nd Book of Samuel:

One evening David rose from his siesta and strolled about on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing, who was very beautiful. David had inquiries made about the woman and was told, “She is Bathsheba, daughter of Eliam, and wife of (Joab’s armor-bearer) Uriah the Hittite.”

Then David sent messengers and took her. When she came to him, he had relations with her, at a time when she was just purified after her monthly period. She then returned to her house. But the woman had conceived, and sent the information to David, “I am with child.”

In other words David decided to feed his passions even though he knew it was wrong, and as what normally happens when you do this is you get burned and you try to cover it up. That was David’s first move.

David therefore sent a message to Joab, “Send me Uriah the Hittite.” So Joab sent Uriah to David. When he came, David questioned him about Joab, the soldiers, and how the war was going, and Uriah answered that all was well. David then said to Uriah, “Go down to your house and bathe your feet.” Uriah left the palace, and a portion was sent out after him from the king’s table.

So a pretty solid plan. David calls back Bathsheba’s husband from the wars. After all, gone from his beautiful wife for so long naturally he’ll go straight to his wife. It was a great plan but Uriah didn’t play along:

But Uriah slept at the entrance of the royal palace with the other officers of his lord, and did not go down to his own house. David was told that Uriah had not gone home. So he said to Uriah, “Have you not come from a journey? Why, then, did you not go down to your house?” Uriah answered David, “The ark and Israel and Judah are lodged in tents, and my lord Joab and your majesty’s servants are encamped in the open field. Can I go home to eat and to drink and to sleep with my wife? As the LORD lives and as you live, I will do no such thing.” Then David said to Uriah, “Stay here today also, I shall dismiss you tomorrow.” So Uriah remained in Jerusalem that day. On the day following, David summoned him, and he ate and drank with David, who made him drunk

If at first you don’t succeed try try again, but it turns out Uriah still didn’t play along

But in the evening he went out to sleep on his bed among his lord’s servants, and did not go down to his home.

The next morning David wrote a letter to Joab which he sent by Uriah. In it he directed: “Place Uriah up front, where the fighting is fierce. Then pull back and leave him to be struck down dead.” So while Joab was besieging the city, he assigned Uriah to a place where he knew the defenders were strong. When the men of the city made a sortie against Joab, some officers of David’s army fell, and among them Uriah the Hittite died.

Then Joab sent David a report of all the details of the battle, instructing the messenger, “When you have finished giving the king all the details of the battle, the king may become angry and say to you: ‘Why did you go near the city to fight? Did you not know that they would shoot from the wall above? Who killed Abimelech, son of Jerubbaal? Was it not a woman who threw a millstone down on him from the wall above, so that he died in Thebez? Why did you go near the wall?’ Then you in turn shall say, ‘Your servant Uriah the Hittite is also dead.'”

The messenger set out, and on his arrival he relayed to David all the details as Joab had instructed him. He told David: “The men had us at a disadvantage and came out into the open against us, but we pushed them back to the entrance of the city gate. Then the archers shot at your servants from the wall above, and some of the king’s servants died, among them your servant Uriah.” David said to the messenger: “This is what you shall convey to Joab: ‘Do not be chagrined at this, for the sword devours now here and now there. Strengthen your attack on the city and destroy it.’ Encourage him.” When the wife of Uriah heard that her husband had died, she mourned her lord. But once the mourning was over, David sent for her and brought her into his house. She became his wife and bore him a son.

Bottom line David did all these things including murder to cover his tracks because he knew what he was doing was wrong.

This is where the left is, this is where the hospitals are, this is where the teachers unions are. Those of us who stand up to stay NO! to this are all Uriah the Hittite, we’re in the way and something to be destroyed.

That can be very discouraging but one of the consolations is that I know how this story ends:

But the LORD was displeased with what David had done. The LORD sent Nathan to David, and when he came to him, he said: “Judge this case for me! In a certain town there were two men, one rich, the other poor. The rich man had flocks and herds in great numbers. But the poor man had nothing at all except one little ewe lamb that he had bought. He nourished her, and she grew up with him and his children. She shared the little food he had and drank from his cup and slept in his bosom. She was like a daughter to him. Now, the rich man received a visitor, but he would not take from his own flocks and herds to prepare a meal for the wayfarer who had come to him. Instead he took the poor man’s ewe lamb and made a meal of it for his visitor.” David grew very angry with that man and said to Nathan: “As the LORD lives, the man who has done this merits death! He shall restore the ewe lamb fourfold because he has done this and has had no pity.” Then Nathan said to David: “You are the man! Thus says the LORD God of Israel: ‘I anointed you king of Israel. I rescued you from the hand of Saul. I gave you your lord’s house and your lord’s wives for your own. I gave you the house of Israel and of Judah. And if this were not enough, I could count up for you still more. Why have you spurned the LORD and done evil in his sight? You have cut down Uriah the Hittite with the sword; you took his wife as your own, and him you killed with the sword of the Ammonites.

And it’s not going to be pretty

Now, therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised me and have taken the wife of Uriah to be your wife.’ Thus says the LORD: ‘I will bring evil upon you out of your own house. I will take your wives while you live to see it, and will give them to your neighbor. He shall lie with your wives in broad daylight. You have done this deed in secret, but I will bring it about in the presence of all Israel, and with the sun looking down.'”

When the left and all of this falls, it will be very loud and very public and while it will be justice, it won’t be painless and it won’t be pretty.
