Claire Freda has been a city council member for a long time, I talked to her at the Karyn Polito event in Leominster last Wednesday

Sorry about the lighting, the Dessert bar lighting was horrible for Video:

We talked for quite a while, If I’m correct about what’s coming, it will be interesting to get her reaction Nov 3rd.

It’s my first full day home and first full night sleep since my 5 state trek covering congressional elections and what do I hear when I get to see morning joe from practically the start? A memorable line from Joe Scarborough:

He said Sarah Palin although she has made money would have been better off staying in Alaska when it comes to electability.

Joe Joe Joe…

Did you happen to notice who was fighting against this administration when everyone else was saying they had to give into the Obama wave?

Did you happen to notice who has been pushing the tea party movement that is responsible for what his going to happen in this election?

Have you actually looked at home many candidates are going to get elected this year who are Sarah Palin republicans?

Joe I love you man but you guys have a huge blind spot when it comes to Sarah Palin and when you say this kind of thing it may appeal to the MSNBC base but it has no relation to objective reality.

As for polls tell me where Barack Obama was in the polls in Dec 2006 for president.

Apparently since they can’t get people to stop watching Fox they can retaliate against those who dare cross the Fox line:

Specifically, in a conversation about Islamic terrorism, Williams said on the O’Reilly Factor that he sometimes had fear on airplanes seeing muslim passengers in Islamic garb.

NPR said Juan Williams’ comments “undermined his credibility as a news analyst with NPR” and “his remarks on the O’Reilly Factor … were inconsistent with our editorial standards.”

For reference, NPR recently ran a segment on how to speak “tea bagger”.

Michelle Malkin reminds us of the new Soros money, Jimmie Bise talks about Fox phobia and big journalism gives us a useful NPR list.

Me? I’m reminded of this post just a few five days ago:

“NPR has the right approach because they are in the business of serving the public,” She said. “I think it is perfectly consistent to require a higher standard of impartiality.”

That these two stories took place in the same week is serious Irony overload.

The NYT has put up its story on Ladd Ehlinger and the Barney Frank ad. One piece of it that I noticed:

Mr. Bielat’s line, to appear at the end of the ad, was supposed to go something like: “I don’t need to dance around the issues. I’m a Marine.” But Mr. Bielat said he did not feel comfortable linking his military service to a political ad in a way that felt “like a non sequitur,” so he improvised.

How honorable is Sean Bielat? He was unwilling to use his Marine service as a prop. How many pols think that way?

Here are a pair of behind the scenes clips first the green screen area

That’s the NYT crew and RS McCain as they cover Ladd

When the ad comes up I’ll put it up with the last three behind the scene clips.

Update: One change since the film was made, it is no longer a “longshot” ah how the news cycle changes
