Apparently the Anheuser-Busch / Bud Light brigade decided to go all in on patriotic ads this weekend:

The radio of views to likes speaks volumes but not has much as this one does

And this illustrates the problem that the Bud Light/Anheuser Bush people have with this business.

No matter how much they fear the Human Rights Campaign and getting on the bad side of the left in the end their product is bought by regular people and the regular people who buy this product do it at a location where they are a ton of alternatives to their product for sale.

It takes no effort to grab a case of Miller Lite or Coors lite or a dozen of other beers when you’re at the package store.

And even if you’re at a bar or a restaurant, almost nobody sells Bud Light Exclusively.

Take Longhorn’s steakhouse. They offer both Bud light AND Miller Light as a discount beer. It takes no effort to grab a Miller lite instead of Bud.

Like it or not as Budlight is now, as the wags are putting it: “tranny fluid” and while there will always be kids who will buy a cheap beer to get drunk on But has a choice.

  • They can either publicly disavow their actions and fire the manager involved

Or

  • They can settle for a smaller American market share permanently

No amount of flag waving is going to fool people, they’ve chosen to take a public side in the political /cultural debate Now they have to decide whose favor they want.

Closing thought:

The moment Donald Trump’s son called for conservative to forgive Budweiser the DeSantis for President crowd must have been high fiving themselves. This is a losing issue for the Trump campaign and I’ll bet real money you won’t see the Donald repeating that mistake.

Look, If I’m going to hell, it’s not going to be over a peanut

Mother Angelica when told if she didn’t give a kickback her sisters would lose their peanut concession

I seem to be noticing a lot of articles like this one on Abortion and the electoral map.

They’ve been polling on abortion since forever, and the evolution of American attitudes toward the issue of abortion can be clearly tracked here and here. Lately, a significant shift in those polls has occurred and voters are now tilting decisively in favor of permitting abortion in most circumstances.

This shift has taken place after last spring’s Dobbs decision, which left abortion up to individual states. This suggests at least some abortion opinion was moved by many states making abortion illegal. Some women didn’t know what they had until it was gone.

America used to be a 50-50 nation on abortion. Not anymore.

Yeah who knew that women were dying for the right to kill their kids right up until the day they were born. That’s what we’re seeing getting passed in blue states all over.

Moran ends thus:

There is no substitute for that kind of motivation. And unless Republicans can come up with a dynamite solution to their abortion problem, they’re going to end up in the minority — perhaps permanently.

Well let me remind Mr. Moran and the GOP why a person whose first vote for President was for Walter Mondale. It was the very first CPAC back when it was in DC proper. I had interviewed a bunch of Tea Party types and bloggers ad thought it would be a cool thing to talk to Democrat about what they believe and why. During the interview they asked me why I became a republican and I was asked by them: Why did you want to be a republican.

!function(r,u,m,b,l,e){r._Rumble=b,r[b]||(r[b]=function(){(r[b]._=r[b]._||[]).push(arguments);if(r[b]._.length==1){l=u.createElement(m),e=u.getElementsByTagName(m)[0],l.async=1,l.src=”https://rumble.com/embedJS/u17hbct”+(arguments%5B1%5D.video?’.’+arguments[1].video:”)+”/?url=”+encodeURIComponent(location.href)+”&args=”+encodeURIComponent(JSON.stringify([].slice.apply(arguments))),e.parentNode.insertBefore(l,e)}})}(window, document, “script”, “Rumble”);
Rumble(“play”, {“video”:”v1hrpo4″,”div”:”rumble_v1hrpo4″});

I suspect I’m not alone among people of faith who went to the GOP because they were no longer welcome with the Democrats as faithful Christians.

We voted this way and worked this way for a purpose. The purpose was to end the evils of abortion and the other cultural evils that have come from it.

These purposes, not the power of elected office is what this has been all about .Did the GOP drop anti-slavery because they lost in 1856? Did they drop anti slavery when there was pushback from the army and some of the populace over the Emancipation proclamation?

I’m sorry but the principle of not slaughtering kids in the womb is more important than polling from an individual election and it will remain so.

If the GOP doesn’t want to provide a home for the faithful, if power trumps principle and if the goal is not to advance our beliefs but to advance people careers then I wish them the best of luck.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. If the choice is between a pro-life democrats who actually means it and a pro-abortion republican whether they mean it or not, I’ll choose life every single time.

Since it is 35 years I suspect we should add two more tips to my 30 (33) tips to stay married 35 years.

30 (35) Tips to stay married 30 (35) years. Tip #34 Errands Together

Professor Henry Higgins: damn Damn Damn DAMN! I’ve grown accustomed to her face.

My Fair Lady

Life is full of errands. Sometimes little errands that are pains in the neck. Things you know should be done but you just can’t get motivated. If you see this with your spouse volunteer NOT to do the errand, but to come along.

The company turns the boring errand into a little outing, gives you a chance to talk and makes the errand easier. It become less about doing stuff you don’t feel like doing and about the time together. Plus you never know if your spouse might remember something you’ve forgotten.

Yes it seems like a little thing but those small little things add up to a lot of good years in the long run.

When one of you has to do errands, if the other one volunteers to come along.

30 (35) Tips to stay married 30 (35) years. Tip #35 Let them Sleep (Unless they’re a Bum)

Jesus Christ: [waking to see six children staring down at him] Couldn’t have waited half an hour eh?

The Chosen: Jesus loves the little children 2019

One of the things you tend to appreciate when you get older is a good night’s sleep. A good night’s sleep has a ton of health benefits and can make the rest of the day, even a tough day bearable.

There are times of course when you have to get up early. Appointments with a doctor, with a garage or going to work.

But if you’re spouse is asleep and is enjoying that sleep, let them keep sleeping. Even if they promised the night before to get up and make you your favorite breakfast. You can have breakfast any day but that sleep will make a huge difference in how the rest of the day together will go. And of course you could always have breakfast for lunch or supper. If Denny’s can do it so can you.

Of course if you’re spouse is a lazy bum, then go ahead and wake em but odds are if your spouse is a lazy bum you not going to be get anywhere near 35 of marriage anyways.

Vito Perrone was looking forward to returning to Easthamption.

He was a school principal there, he had coached football there. He was even willing to take a $14,000 a year pay cut to return to the city as school superintendent and was offered the job.

But then he lucked out.

Apparently when he sent them an email concerning the position he referred to the women he addressed his letter to as “Ladies” and they had a conniption fit claiming a “microagression”.

Kwiecinski responded to Perrone saying that his use of “ladies” was “hostile and derogatory,” and that “the fact that he didn’t know that as an educator was a problem.” She also added that the term “ladies” was a “microaggression.”

And just like that the job offer was gone and he remains where he is.

Talk about catching a break! Could you imagine being stuck in that school system for three years with clowns like that as your bosses?

My congratulations to Mr. Perrone and my deepest sympathies to the parents of the Easthamption school district who voted for this school committee and whose kids are apparently getting the education they voted for.
