For over a thousand years, Roman conquerors returning from the wars enjoyed the honor of a triumph – a tumultuous parade. In the procession came trumpeters and musicians and strange animals from the conquered territories, together with carts laden with treasure and captured armaments. The conqueror rode in a triumphal chariot, the dazed prisoners walking in chains before him. Sometimes his children, robed in white, stood with him in the chariot, or rode the trace horses. A slave stood behind the conqueror, holding a golden crown, and whispering in his ear a warning: that all glory is fleeting.

While I like a good party as much as the next guy let me point out that Kurt Schlichter is exactly right:

Life is good today; tomorrow, we fight again.

Anyone who thinks the deep state is going to go quietly hasn’t paid attention. They are going to fight tooth and nail every chance they get.

And all they need to win is for us to get sloppy and lose our vigilance. It’s like cyber security, your system security is only as strong as the most careless person on your team.

I’m reminded of Albert Sydney Johnson the highest ranking General of the confederacy who was killed at Shiloh. Johnson was outnumbered and outgunned on every front that the Union forces could invade in so he planted stories in newspapers not only highly exaggerating his strength but arranged “leaks” about possible offensives that he was about to launch.

While he was successful in deceiving the northern forces thus buying him some time he also deceived his own side to the point where general P.T Beauregard arrived on the scene he was shocked and flabbergasted to find that the situation was actually very dire.

That’s basically what was discussed when a big Democrat fundraiser appeared on Fox and told them how she had raised millions from other big donors based on the promises and assurances of the Harris campaign that turned out to be empty.

People don’t like getting played and burned.

The insane and in at last one case horrific responses we are seeing from the left comes from two primary sources:

  1. People believing lies being told directly to their face by the media trying to obtain a particular result (Think the entire “Biden is sharp as a whip business) which can only hold up until reality kicks in
  2. People letting politics become their religion and thus being scandalized when anything, including reality, contradicts their faith.

Neither of these things are healthy and the idea that there are women who are literally getting their tubes tied over the Trump victory, while likely healthy for the gene poll is not very good for the people doing them.

Pray for them all, they need it.

There are a lot of reports that celebs made a fortune off of the Kamala campaign getting big paydays for showing up.

I don’t mind this very much because basically that’s what celebs do, they make their money off of people who want to be seen near or with them, after all why do you think Patrick Mahomes does all those State Farm commercials? Because he likes their coverage?

Expect a lot more grifts making a lot more money from idiots either panicked or self righteous. My favorite is this one:

At least one wag is calling it the “Lib boat” and another notes that as the very rich was one of the few groups that she improved her numbers with it’s a perfect move.

There are a lot of things that shock me about the reaction to this election. One of them is a refrain that I’m hearing repeatedly that Kamala ran an “excellent” or a “flawless” campaign.

Now I’m a sports guy and I’ve seen a lot of blowouts over the years and watched a lot of analysists talk about such games the next day or during the week if it’s football. I’ve never once heard said analysists describe the team on the wrong side of a blowout describe the losing teams game as “perfect” or “nearly flawless”.

That’s a classic case of not being willing to handle the reality that’s right in front of your face, but this pales in comparisons to this video from CNN which this week has been the gift that keeps on giving:

No your eyes are not deceiving you that’s a white liberal and a black woman telling a black man on live TV what he is allowed to say and how he is allowed to talk as he tries to explain why they lost minority men.

If you want to sum up what happened in the last election, this is pretty much it.

By John Ruberry

Last’s week’s convincing victory by Donald J. Trump over Kamala Harris offers a plan for the future of the Republican Party.

Let’s begin with this development. America is in a new political era. The Sixth Party System, which covers the shift of the Democratic Solid South to the Republican Party, is over. While Georgia is still a swing state, the GOP still owns the South.

The shift of the working class, regardless of race, to the Republican side is in motion. The Seventh Party System is here. The Democrats are now the party of the wealthy metropolitan elites and people collecting public assistance. Good luck trying to create functional policy out of those odd lots. This, as Trump would say, is yuge. Sure, there are some unfriendly ripples in the Red Wave, women favor the Democrats and the tiny blocs with permanent grievances, such as the trans lobby and the Green Luddites, will always favor the left.

In politics the game is never over. Envision the GOP as a football team with a 27-14 lead over the Dems–and Trump, as quarterback, has the ball, with a skilled backup ready when he’s needed in JD Vance.

QB Trump needs to pass the ball into the cities for the long-term victory.

Because I live just outside of Chicago, I’m going to focus on that city, which hasn’t had a Republican mayor since 1931. But the story is similar in other big cities, particularly New York.

Trump collected 12 percent of the vote in Chicago in 2016, he improved to 16 percent four years later. This year he took 22 percent; it was the GOP’s best presidential Chicago performance since 1992. Trump won a Chicago ward, the 41st, and that hasn’t happened since that same year. The now president-elect came close in several other wards, mostly ones where many Chicago police officers and firefighters live, but Trump was also in shouting distance in the 50th Ward, which has many Orthodox Jewish residents.

Trump made massive gains among Chicago’s Hispanic voters. To be fair, the black vote and the haughty white know-it-all vote on the North Side continued past patterns

Yes, 22 percent in an election is a long way from a majority. But there much room for growth.

Elsewhere, after Election Day some urban leftist pols are now out of a job. They include three woke prosecutors, California’s George Gascón and Pamela Price (who was recalled), and Deborah Gonzalez in Georgia. Two other California leftist mayors are now cleaning out their desks, London Breed lost her reelection race in San Francisco and Oakland’s Sheng Thao was recalled.

Voters nationwide are fed up with leftist public officials and there doesn’t seem to be too many moderate Democrats, particularly in big cities. Chicago’s woke mayor, Brandon Johnson, who was elected in a low turnout election just last year, now has an approval rating of just 14 percent.

The GOP, even in cities like Chicago that have nominally non-partisan elections, needs to start recruiting candidates now for the next few election cycles, not just for municipal races, but for state legislature and congressional contests.

In many cities, such as Chicago, “Republican” is still toxic in many circles. To counter that, conservative candidates can run as an independent. Gascón’s opponent, Nathan Hochman, a Republican, did just that in California.

Never forget, the Democrats are the party many unpopular political positions.

Including:

  • Sanctuary cities and open borders.
  • DEI.
  • Featherbedding government worker payrolls.
  • No-cash bail laws.
  • Lax prosecution of criminals.
  • Defunding the police or cutting the number of law enforcement officers.
  • Transgenderism–including supporting boys playing in girls’ sports.
  • Forcing expensive electric cars on us.
  • Banning natural gas stoves and ovens.
  • Burdensome regulations.
  • Opposing fossil fuels.
  • Red-light and speed cameras.
  • High taxes.
  • Hostility to school choice and private school vouchers.

And so much more.

Yes, party identity is a tough nut to crack, but progress has already been made by the GOP.

Big cities are the rotten apples on the dying Democratic tree.

Conservatives offer a better way. Say it now and say it loud.

John Ruberry regularly blogs at Marathon Pundit.

As of this writing the AP has not yet called the election for Donald Trump showing him 3 EV short with five states still uncalled by them (although some have been called by others) Michigan, Arizona Wisconsin, Nevada and Alaska.

Alaska is enough to clinch.

Why they haven’t called Alaska yet is beyond me.

Then again NBC, CBS, ABC & CNN haven’t called it either.

Let the record show that Citizen Free Press was the first to call the election at 10:41 PM EST.

(While I was typing point 4 (5:31 AM) ABC called Wisconsin for Trump putting him over. NBC & CBS and the AP apparently has too. Oddly None of them have called Alaska.

Latino voters made a big difference this time around. Working in a place where Spanish is the 1st language I saw that coming a mile away but a lot in the media did not.

People forget that “Hispanics” or as the media / left likes to say “Latinx” do not come from a mythical land of “Hispanica”. They come from a lot of different cultures. Dominicans, are different from Mexicans, who are different than Venezuelans who are different than Guatemalans, who are different from Columbians, etc etc etc

Democrats not respecting that likely hurt them.

I suspect that if they realized this was coming they would have finished the wall 20 years ago.

It’s worth remembering that Joe Biden is still an old frail man and it is very possible that in the next 78 days Kamala Harris could become the 47th President of the United States and Donald Trump the 48th if he doesn’t make it to January 20th alive.

But if he really wanted to twist the knife on the folks who forced him off the ballot he would resign sometime next month and have Kamala be president for a month or so. That would make Kamala the 1st woman president and would force Trump to rebrand all his 47 stuff.

It would be fun.

I think we can look at the last three elections as decided by the Hubris of the losers.

Election 2016 was lost by the Democrats because in their Hubris they not only believed the polls but the machine folks in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania all figured they didn’t need to steal and election that Hillary had cold. So when the Trump wave came, they weren’t able to create the vote to steal it as you need to prepare. (That’s why it took hours to make the final call and why the three hold out states were called all at once).

Election 2020 was lost by Donald Trump because in his Hubris he didn’t bother to take my advice and start working on election fraud in right after 2016. So when the Democrats who had prepared for the steal for four years struck he was caught flat footed. His team worked valiantly but as the old saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Election 2024 was lost by the Democrats who in their Hubris counted on hatred of Trump didn’t allow Biden to be challenged in a primary and lied to our faces about his fitness for months if not years and who also in their hubris figured the GOP would not be ready to counter dirty tricks. They lied with impunity and it cost them on election day. It might not have cost them states that they might have but even in blue states he closed the gap, not enough to win a NJ or a NY but it showed everywhere.

Hubris is deadly

Now that this election is over there is a bigger problem for Democrats.

Four years from now Donald Trump will not be on the ballot so it’s possible that some of those who turned out for him might not for JD Vance who has to be considered the presumptive nominee for the party. (or if Trump dies in office the incumbent remember he is 77 years old and just worked himself practically to death over the last 6 months).

But the question is will the folks who just didn’t like Donald Trump decide they hate JD Vance just as much. Will we now see the “Never Vance” movement?

I suspect we will in the media who are paid for such things but not in the public.

Today is election day and all that we’ve gone through the last several months will (hopefully) be over by the time I wake up tomorrow.

There is not a lot to be said that I have not said already so I want to address myself to all of those folks in swing states and districts who either have or are prepared to take part in election fraud in the hopes of saving the day for Kamala.

Don’t try it.

Not only are we in the “too big to rig” numbers based on all I’ve seen and the actions of the left but consider what is coming.

I suspect what is coming is a special council given powers to investigate voter fraud in all 50 states. I suspect said council is going to have the power to hire his or her own lawyers so that career DOJ staff can’t cover things up. I suspect that while Trump is busy working on the economy, the border, energy and Iran said council will be doing what should have been done in 2020, going after those who try to steal an election from the American people.

I suspect that while said council will look into the 2020 steal his primary target are going to be those who attempt a steal this time around.

And remember James O’Keefe has his people in every single state just waiting to give such a council their evidence and video and Elon’s Musk’s twitter will not be banning people who report what they see and spread it

Oh and don’t think for one minute the left will protect you, the defining characteristic of the left is that when a useful idiot is no longer useful they are discarded.

Your best bet is to lay low and give any plans for fraud a pass.

Oh and for those already involved this time around. I’ll have words for you later this week
