For months now, I’ve been looking at this and going “They have a coup planned. The fix is in.” And everyone told me oh, no, I was seeing things.
Tonight we watched states called for Biden before votes were counted, while states that Trump has a solid lead in, stop counting.
And if you need help seeing what’s before your eyes, the left has for weeks now claimed Trump was going to attempt a coup. How many years have you known they accuse you of what they’re doing? What are you? Stupid?

Sarah Hoyt November 2020

The unexpected victory of Donald Trump in 2016 was a giddy time for conservatives. There were a lot of memes celebrating and a classic set of youtube videos of the calls of the various states that got a ton of views as they upset the MSM to no end.

A lot of people in their joy forgot that when Trump was on the verge of victory things just seemed to stop when it came to vote counting, particularly in in PA, and Wisconsin. For some reason it took hours for the final states to put Trump over the top. Furthermore once Trump went up to give his victory speech all those states together suddenly got called.

I have maintained for years that the reason for this was the Democrats who thought the election was in the bag were trying to steal the election on the fly and eventually found they could not. Once they realized they weren’t prepared the states were called expect for New Hampshire where there just happened to be a key Senate race where democrat fraud squad was ready and able to save said seat and give the state to Clinton as a consolation prize.

So while most were still celebrating the defeat of Hillary Clinton I gave the conservative movement in general and Donald Trump in particular one of the best pieces of advice I had ever given in my life:

Democrat Bosses in Wisconsin Michigan and Minnesota had no inkling that the election was close, that being the case there was no reason why, in an age where proof of a federal offense is a cell phone video away, Dem bosses in Detroit or elsewhere felt the need to take any risk.  They figured those states were won (and they were right about Minnesota) and by election night it was too late to change it.

However that won’t be the case in 2020,  I’ll wager that in 2020 the bosses in Milwaukee, Detroit, Madison and elsewhere will be ready, we’ll see plenty of mail in ballots and absentee ballots that we didn’t see before in those states and plenty of voters looking to go for the GOP will be in the same spot that Steven Kruiser was on election night.

We have four years to prepare for this so we’d better get ready because as our friends on the left have demonstrated in the past, they play for keeps.

After all you don’t think Soros has been quietly sinking millions into AG races, you know the people who would be protesting election fraud on a local level, just because it’s fun?

You have all been warned

Well this warning about election fraud and Soros and DA races was completely ignored and thus Election 2020 was stolen, Americans were and are still being imprisoned and the worst four years this country has gone through since World War Two has been the result.

However there is a glimmer of hope that people are finally getting it and one of this is one of the new co-chairs of the GOP Lara Trump:

“Unfortunately, we don’t have one day of voting, we don’t have paper ballots, we don’t have voter ID everywhere. So we have to play the hand that we’re dealt,” Trump said, noting the importance of early voting and mail-in voting where possible. “That way, we have votes banked as we head into Election Day, and we’re not playing catch up on Nov. 5 with the Democrats.”

“We need to be doing legal ballot harvesting — something that has never been done by the RNC, but I can promise you will be a huge part of what we’re planning to do,” she added. “And then come Election Day, and you’ll see that, I think, it’s not just about having poll watchers. It’s about having trained poll watchers and lawyers at locations around the country as necessary. And these are people who will be trained and able to physically count how many ballots are coming in. And how many ballots are going out.”

Trump said her goal is to “have people’s trust restored in our electoral process.”

If you want to know why little miss Romney needed to be replaced, this speech is it. Don Surber has noted this and has given the Trump train a warning:

But the election comes down to Trump stopping a second steal. He rightly has bitched about it for years. Now it is put up or shut up. My tough love for him is to dare to remind him: fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Don Suber has some clout with the Trumps that I don’t perhaps they will listen. If they don’t it’s on them but the primary consequences will be on us.

I’ll give Sarah Hoyt the last word from election night 2020:

A second Trump term means a good chance that they go down hard and don’t get up again.
ALL OF THEM from the left politicians to the so called “tech lords” are fighting for their lives.
They’re cornered rats. There’s nothing they won’t do.

And all we have against them is Trump.
Stop calling Trump names.  Put on your big boy or girl pants.
They’re fighting for their lives.  And we are too. Because — look at Venezuela — socialism kills.

We have been warned, AGAIN!

If you haven’t seen RFK Jr’s State of the Union Speech do so now. It you’re under 40 it’s likely the greatest political speech you will ever hear in your lifetime.

This is the type of speech that changes votes, and the reason it’s that type of speech is that is:

  1. It’s Positive
  2. It’s aspirational
  3. It challenges us to be better than we are
  4. There is absolutely no question, at least in my mind, that he believes this and means it

For someone like me it reminds me of my youth when such beliefs were the norm, Donald Trump vowed to make America Great Again and he pretty much kept that promise as President, Robert Fitzgerald Kennedy Jr. in this speech reminded us WHY America was great in the first place and has done so at a time when we as a nation have forgotten it. In my youth Americans believed this, not republicans, not democrats AMERICANS believed this as the base belief of the country, before we allowed the Marxists into the schools.

If I thought for one moment that Kennedy would act wisely on the culture war issues: Abortion, Transgenderism and DEI, then I would have let myself be carried away by this speech to the days of my youth and change my vote in the general. Frankly given that I live in blue Massachusetts it might be strategic to consider such a vote as Kennedy would be more likely to win this state than Trump.

But in the end Abortion “Trumps” all with me because that’s a question of the soul plus I don’t believe personally in strategic voting so barring something like Trump dropping dead (he is in fact very old) and being replaced by Haley or Noam (who has been a not so much closet supporter of pushing Transgenderism until the VP talk came) I’ll have to pass on RFK Jr.

But if you choose not to I completely understand.

Closing thought: If you think the Obama team (Let’s stop pretending it’s the ‘Biden’ team) was determined to keep Secret Service Protection away from RFK Jr. before they’re damn well going to make sure he doesn’t have it now. Unless of course the primary job of said team was to either kill him or allow him to be killed.

I’m old enough to remember when that final sentence would have been unthinkable to me.

I listened to the arguments before the Supreme Court concerning Colorado excluding Donald Trump from the ballot in election 2024.

The consensus of those who heard the arguments is as MSNBC of all places put it “a very bad hearing for Colorado” that being not the citizens but those making the case for the state before the court.

While the arguments were interesting and I do suggest listening to them not just for the merits of the case but so you can see how Supreme Court arguments work there is one bottom line that really should be the driving force behind this decision.

The left is relying on the 14th amendment and is claiming that Trump in a “insurrectionist” and if you listen to the folks arguing for Colorado their favorite word in their presentation is “insurrection” or “Insurrectionist”.

The real problem for Colorado doing so is that Donald Trump has never been convicted let alone charged with insurrection. In fact to my knowledge no person who has been charged with crimes concerning the events of January 6th has been charged with insurrection.

It seems to me that if you’re excluding someone from the ballot based on their being an insurrectionist you would actually have to have a declaration that an insurrection took place and that a person is charged by the government with taking part in an insurrection.

This alone should have killed Colorado’s entire argument, and any person on the left should understand that if you can decide to deny a person of their rights without due process, no charge or nor conviction then you can exclude someone based on opinion, political or cultural.

That frankly is the basis for Jim Crow and that the current left is so obsessed with keeping Trump off the ballot that they don’t see the precedent are trying to set….is incredible to me.

I’m hoping that the various opinions are right and SCOTUS shoots this down (from what I heard of the arguments I’m guessing it will be anywhere from 9-0 to 7-2, I’m betting 8-1 with Sotomayor in dissent) but that it even has reached this point frankly is shameful.

But frankly the left’s entire treatment of Donald Trump from the time her won the GOP nomination in 2016 is very shameful and there is no reason to suggest they would change their stripes.

I’ve always known how to count

Tip O’Neill

After Ron DeSantis pulled out of the race and I endorsed Trump I wrote the following in closing:

I’ll close with the same words I ended my endorsement of DeSantis with:

Closing thought: I’m convinced that if we nominate Donald Trump we will lose but if my advice is ignored and he wins the votes to be the nominee I will support him in the general election and make the best possible arguments for Trump (there is no lack of good arguments for his re-election) to convince those Blue collar folks to abandon their irrational hatred and vote for him, even though I think said effort is doomed to failure.  After all with God all things are possible.

Short of my sons each finding a nice Catholic wife there is nothing that is likely to make me happier then to be proven wrong in my assessment of our chances come November 2024.

After writing this there was a comment left by a strong Trump supporter who declared:

there are no blue collar haters of Trump … period … they may not all be fans … but no TDS among blue collar … anyone with TDS who claims to be “blue collar” is just lying …

and the Dems would have, will try to steal the next election from WHOEVER the GOP runs … so may as well go with the guy who gives us the best chance … and that was always going to be Trump

Well today after mass I had breakfast with a close friend. A guy as blue collar as they come who has been with the GOP since long before I met him. In fact he was a republican a solid decade and a half before I decided to join the side I was on.

One or twice a month or so we go out for breakfast and talk Religion, politics and sports and today we talked about Trump’s impending nomination.

To my surprise this fellow, who had voted for Trump in 2020 bluntly stated he was disgusted with him and would be voting for RFK Jr. this time around.

This is a fellow who is as conservative as they come, this is a fellow who acknowledges that Trump did a good job as president and noted both his problem solving style and his tendency to, if he could not achieve a desired aim directly, create the condition so that said desired aim could take place.

He further acknowledged that Joe Biden has been an absolute disaster as president and has bluntly stated that a second Biden term will be even worse.

None of that matters however. He’s disgusted with the cult of personality, he’s disgusted with the toadyism whereby when a person is running against him their the worst person in the world (and the subsequent falsehoods involved) but if they turn around and endorse him they’re suddenly wonderful again.

I spent an hour making the case that this is a binary choice and that a Biden 2nd term will mean the end of our civil liberties because if you reward someone who uses the full power of the state to destroy political opposition you are giving incentives to such a practice and once established can’t be stopped. The GOP voters choose Trump and that was our only choice to stop them.

He counted that Trump would cost the house and the senate not only in this election but in elections to come and Trump would produce majorities for the Democrat with an even worse long term result. Even if by some miracle Trump won a 2nd term Absolutely nothing I could say would change his mind, he is convinced that Trump’s second term, if it happened, will be the revenge tour and that he will be unable to fill a cabinet or achieve what he had done before

Absolutely nothing I could say would change his mind and as I dropped him off at his place noted that a commentator on my site specifically said that people like him simply didn’t exist. He answered:

“Well you can tell him that you just had breakfast with one.”

In fairness this is less an irrational hatred than a rational disgust and distrust but the end result is the same.

I greatly fear that this conversation is taking place all over the country to the same result, and while that might suit some in the Trump camp who do not wish the votes of the insufficiently devout, for a person like me who knows how to count it means it will take this administration making a move so inept producing a disaster so horrible that even those who hate Trump will decide they can’t let this continue.

Well either way I’m going to play this out and make the case for Trump as best I can until it’s over like Jackie Robinson after Bobby Thompson’s home run where he was the last off the field keeping an eye on Thompson on the off chance he failed to touch each base because he knew the game wasn’t officially lost until he did. If proved wrong nobody will be more delighted than I.

It’s a very long time between now and November and a I’ve said before with God all things are possible. I just wish that the defeat of the communist left didn’t rely so much on that maxim.
