There is one primary difference between the Political Left and the Political Right on Social Media

Over and over again I have been bullied and harassed on social media by individuals who inhabit the political left.  All I have to do to trigger an onslaught of mean-spirited and abusive comments is to post something on Facebook that goes against official progressive orthodoxy. 

Whenever I encounter posts from my progressive friends that I do not agree with, or that I know are incorrect, or that I know are pure bovine excrement, I simply scroll past like an adult.  My liberal friends rarely return the favor.  There have been times when I’ve had to do battle with 4 or 5 angry leftists at the same time. Each time this happened I felt very much I was ambushed by a pack of rabid dogs.

None of my Conservative or Libertarian friends engage in the same type of bullying and harassing behavior that progressives engage in regularly.  Just about all of my right leaning friends have been tormented by hoards of angry liberals.  Just about all of my progressive friends have bullied and harassed me.  That is the primary difference between the right and the left when it comes to social media.

It took me quite a while to figure out why liberals constantly engage in this holy war against posts that they do not agree with.  Their goal is to bully and harass individuals who do not share their beliefs into silence.  We are heretics to them.  Freedom of speech is not a two-way street to leftists.  They label posts that go against progressive groupthink as misinformation, or hate speech, or both.  Then they declare all-out war on those individuals that dare think for themselves.

The only way I found to fight against this bullying and harassment is to unfriend those that attempt to bully me into silence.  I tried to engage in rational debate and a respectful sharing of views and opinions.  That was not well received at all.  They responded with insults and tantrums.  The bullying only escalated. 

I firmly believe that every individual has a right to believe whatever they wish to believe, and to give voice to those beliefs however they wish.  I firmly believe that no individual has the right to force their beliefs on any other individual.  Sadly, those on the political left do not share these beliefs.

Yep, that’s the real problem, it makes these Never Trump guys look bad.

and as Professor Jacobson notes there is something that they find even worse….

That’s why the Democrats are angry. They’re not angry that Joe Biden pardoned his son. They’re not angry that he lied about it for years. They’re angry that they feel that this had given an advantage to Trump. That’s what the anger is about on the Democrat side, and the Never-Trump side. It’s complete anger that they feel that Joe Biden has handed Trump a potential victory, and that’s what they’re upset about.

What does it come down to? The sin of Pride, pride to keep from consequences, pride in that “we’re better than Trump” and pride in thinking the only problem with corruption is it embarrasses them.

There is a reason why Pride is the 1st of the deadly sins, because it excuses so many others.

I was talking to a friend yesterday about the election. This is the guy I mentioned before who had previously been NeverTrump but decided that he HAD to vote for him to punish the left for what the Department of Justice had done to him. There had to be consequences for such horrible behavior.

While he teased me about Matt Gaetz (who he thought was unqualified) and Pam Bondi ( who we both agreed was incredibly qualified) we found ourselves worried about one thing.

Conservatives in general and MAGA people in particularly have been rightly celebrating and some of the meltdowns we’ve seen have been really amusing, but when it comes down to it we have to acknowledge something that a few folks don’t want to hear:

While Donald Trump won 100% of the presidency the reason why he did is because the left was chasing voters away who weren’t 100% pure and Donald Trump welcomed them into the fold.

A lot of those people who joined with us will be expecting to get a portion of the spoils of victory which means there are going to be some people appointed to positions that I wouldn’t choose and some decisions made that I wouldn’t make but we’re likely going to get 70% of what we want. and that’s OK.

Or to put it another way. Would you complain if your Baseball, Football, Basketball or Hockey franchise managed a .700 winning percentage? You’d be tickled pink.

Now maybe over time we will convince them of the advantages of conservatism in both culture and economics and it may in fact be that we will be pleasantly surprised at the effectiveness of some of their ideas toward the common good.

If we want to raise an objection here and there, that’s fine we should make the best case we can for what we believe, but in the end we’re not going to get a lot done if after winning a historic election we take the people who helped us to that victory and chase them back to where they were and remember in four years we won’t have Trump as a unifying force so we damn well better keep them as friends because we won’t want them as enemies in 2028.

Let’s leave the purity tests to the left, after all I already have a religion.

This Thanksgiving every American should be Thankful that President Trump defeated Kamala Harris

Just about half the population of the United States is experiencing a great deal of anxiety this Thanksgiving.  The remaining half are suffering from an abundance of joy.  There are three main reason why this stark difference between the two halves of our population exists.

Those on the political left are beside themselves with dread right now.  They believe all of their rights will be stripped from them.  They are convinced that the economy of the United States will utterly and totally collapse.  These Progressives believe that women will be denied needed medical  care.

Those of us on the political right know with certainty that President Trump will restore all of the rights that were greatly eroded away, such as freedom of speech, free exercise of religion, and the right to bear arms, under the Biden Regime.   We know that the economy of the United States will rocket forward out of the stagnation caused by the ruinous policies of Biden and Harris.  As for the stuff about women not getting needed medical care, we know that is absolute bilge.

Democrats are in such a bad state mentally because they exist exclusively in a progressive echo chamber.  All of the news and information they consume comes from left wing sources, all of which shovel nothing but propaganda.

Those on the political left are indoctrinated and programmed.  This is done to them under the guise of receiving a college education. 

The political left does not believe in objective truth.  All reality is relative to them.  To them truth is fungible.

The half of the population that is experiencing dread and anxiety this Thanksgiving are doing so because of they are unable to distinguish between the real universe of objective truth where the United States will prosper under Trump and the fantasy universe created by progressive brainwashing where the United States will become a hellhole.
