…in addition to DaTechGuy on DaRadio as 4th banana you will have not 1, not 2 but 3 republican congressional candidates in studio during the 2nd hour. Bill Gunn from ma-1, Tom Wesley from ma-2 , and Marty Lamb from ma-3.

A democratic state senator will be on in the first hour, but either way I hope you will all listen tonight from 7-9 on 830 a.m. or listen to the live feed here.

For several months every single indication I have seen in Massachusetts points to an upheaval of epic proportions.

I have argued that Bill Gunn not only has an excellent chance of winning Ma-1 and John Olver is running scared.

I have stated that Republicans will win at least three seats in congress in Massachusetts.

I have said that Jim McKenna’s success as a write in candidate is the single most significant election nationwide.

Although I’ve said Fortune favors the bold the GOP hasn’t taken my advice in Massachusetts.

Well the wall street journal has finally taken notice?

Republican advances in traditionally Democratic states, including Connecticut, Oregon and Washington, may not translate into a wave of GOP victories. But they have rattled local campaigns and forced the Democrats to shift attention and money to races they didn’t expect to be defending.

Rising sentiment against the party in power has washed ashore even in coastal Oregon, where Democratic Rep. Peter DeFazio won his 10th re-election two years ago with 82% of the vote.

The media is underplaying this tremendously for fear of what is coming.

It’s finally reached the point where Stacy McCain has decided to drop everything and head up here He will be covering the races in ma-5, ma-6 and ma-10 but hopefully he will have time to get to WCRN tonight to join us since Bill Gunn from ma-1, Tom Wesley from ma-2 , and Marty Lamb from ma-3 will all be in the studio for the second hour.

Let me stress. All of these candidates can win their districts if you can help them out with either time or money!

Ran into DaHospitality guy yesterday. Haven’t seen much of him as he’s been busy with running the old Dynasty Sable Face to Face baseball league (now in its 23rd year).

He was interested in my wandering Olver story and out of curiosity starting driving around town to check out signs. He said that in West Fitchburg (his stomping ground) you could see quite a few Olver signs. I haven’t been to west Fitchburg in a couple of weeks but I’ll take his word for it.

He then told me after driving the main drags once he hit side roads and left west Fitchburg the Bill Gunn signs: “Totally blew Olver away” (his pun not mine), but there was a more important indicator.

He could not get over how many “For Sale” signs there were everywhere. Beyond the normal buying and selling it seems that more people without jobs are preparing to flee to other parts less expensive parts of the country (Massachusetts will likely lose another district for 2012) or state, or just need to raise funds to survive. As he put it Gunn has much more signage that Olver but “For Sale” dwarfs them both.

It is that bad economy more than any number of Bill Gunn signs that spell trouble for John Olver and every other democrat in this state.

First there was the Bill Gunn signs everywhere

Then there was the Olver sign at the closed business on John Fitch Highway that was gone in 48 hours.

48 Hours later it moved to Burger King and was gone the same day.

The Olver sign disappears from Burger King

But at last 48 Hours later it has apparently found a permanent home at Jiffy Lube on 541 John Fitch Highway

I talked to the guys at Jiffy Lube. They said a lady came by and asked permission to put the sign up and they agreed. So the 3rd time is the charm and in a city where Bill Gunn signs abound the John Olver’s sign finally has a home.

Awwwwwwwwww

Of course if it changes I’ll let you know.
