Apparently men have figured out that it’s not worth going into a lot of debt to be told that you’re what’s wrong with the world:

Men are abandoning higher education in such numbers that they now trail female college students by record levels.

At the close of the 2020-21 academic year, women made up 59.5% of college students, an all-time high, and men 40.5%, according to enrollment data from the National Student Clearinghouse, a nonprofit research group. U.S. colleges and universities had 1.5 million fewer students compared with five years ago, and men accounted for 71% of the decline.

Now that the STEM stuff like math, physics, engineering and medicine are going woke with realty has taken a bad seat to ideology the cost benefit analysis will make even more men think twice.

But have no fear. Trade schools are still there and haven’t reached the point of wokeness and men who go into heating, plumbing, welding carpentry and electrical work, none of which need a degree will discover that they will be able to name their own price when highly educated woke folk with degrees on their wall need anything

After a year or two of various challenges that health officials have come out or had celebreties come out to denounce as dangerous and foolish the time has come for the ultimate in challenges that I’m sure that branches of the government will be loudly denouncing and will likely get me kicked off of Youtube.

The HANDSHAKE challenge.

This challenge consists of extending one’s right hand to another person, and taking said right hand (also extended) in your grip and then moving both hands in unison up and down.

For generations this type of greeting was considered the customary greeting of friendship, particularly among men. It was occasionally used as a test of strength and the unwillingness to shake hands as a sign of peace or reconciliation or approval might even be considered inappropriate:

I know that in those ancient days before March of 2020 a handshake was the most common greeting between men, but now in this enlightened new age of COVID such and action it is considered dangerous and extreme.

In fairness even in that prior privative age there were some cases when it was not considered proper to shake hands, If one was sick , was known to have a communicable disease or if one’s hands were dirty or unwashed such shaking of hands was not encouraged. There were cases when it was considered proper to refuse an offered hand in order to avoid the appearance of approval of said person and or his actions.

There were even extreme cases when said person offering a hand was so beyond the pale that it was preferable to risk death rather than accept it.

All of these limitations are matters of propriety and if any of these limitations are present:

  • Dirty Hands
  • Either person sick or carrying a communicable disease
  • Avoiding confirming legitimacy to a person or action beyond the pale

then it is perfectly proper and even recommended to avoid the Handshake challenge.

But absent these conditions I submit and suggest that the handshake challenge is not only proper but an important if not vital step into reasserting and reclaiming normalcy and to reestablish ourselves not just as free Americans, but as free men and women.

Very few of us Conservatives and Libertarians ever attempted to fight the political left in the area of cultural issues.  We abounded Hollywood and the rest of the entertainment industry to progressives and other Marxists.

Now the vast majority of movies and television programs are a cesspool of leftist propaganda.  Hardly any at all present America or its founding principles in a positive light.

America bashing is one of the most prevalent themes encountered today.  Conformity, the liberal orthodoxy, and doing whatever those in authority demand have been hammered into the heads of all that partake in any form of entertainment. America’s sins of slavery and racism are constant themes,  They are portrayed as being the absolute foundation and soul of this nation, which are very much far from the truth.  All of the tremendous good that America has done and stands for is ignored.

Young children who watch cartoons, Disney movies, and Nickelodeon are subjected to gay and transgender brainwashing.  I believe this is something that should be left out of children’s programming.  Most parents are probably unaware that this going on.

The liberal brainwashing on college campuses has gone unchecked by those of us on the political right for decades.  It has now spread through high schools and grade schools.  A recent poll declared that more than half of all young people have been brainwashed into viewing socialism as positive and capitalism negative.  No wonder so many young people voted for Biden and no wonder so many blindly follow all of the liberty destroying mandates and lockdowns.  If American founding principles and civics were still taught these mandates and lockdown would have ended soon after they were attempted.

Conservatives and others on the right allowed leftists to gain almost complete control of the news industry and social media.  Without the suppression of the truth about the theft of the 2020 presidential election Donald Trump would still be in office.  Without the suppression of real scientific facts about the effectiveness of masks and lockdown those liberty destroying ineffective mandates would not have remained in effect for more than a week or two.

We need to take up the culture war on all fronts immediately and fight to win.

As a general rule anything John Hawkins writes is worth checking out so when he mentioned that he has a new substack focusing on the culture wars called Cultursidal and asked if I’d mention it I immediately checked it out.

As you might guess there are interesting pieces but what caught my eye the most is this from the
“about” page:

Andrew Breitbart was absolutely right when he said that “politics is downstream from culture.” However, Breitbart didn’t go nearly far enough. In one sense or another, almost everything that matters is downstream from culture. That’s because a non-functional culture produces non-functional people. The sort of people who create disastrous, broken lives for themselves and then demand that the rest of the world change to accommodate their bad decisions. Go look at #BlackLivesMatter, ANTIFA, Incels, transsexuals, drag queens, furries, welfare addicts, modern feminists, Nazis, and any number of other groups and you’ll see people who are losers that want to rewrite the rules of the game to make themselves winners. It would be easy to blame society for their problems, but that’s not quite accurate. They largely created their own problems and society is at fault to the extent that it cruelly caters to their delusions instead of pointing them in the right direction.

As both a cultural warrior who has been told more times than he can count by people supposedly on my side who make their living off of public office & power that my concerns over the last three decades that fighting said wars were overstated and as a practicing Catholic who actually believes in the faith and worried about the salvation of individuals this is one of the best summaries of what is going on.

Why bother to achieve in reality when you can redefine achievement? Why bother struggling against sin when you can redefine sin? It’s literally the oldest trick in the book: you will be like gods and the Devil has been taking people with it for decades?

This alone tells me that John gets it and it’s the reason why I’m happy to interrupt this blog long enough to tell you to head on over and check out Culturcidal today and on a regular basis.

You won’t regret it.
