Hey if you are on the left and you think that Gitmo is unjust don’t worry about the news about about keeping it open

The just-passed National Defense Authorization Act includes language that forbids using Department of Defense money to transfer Guantanamo detainees stateside, even for a trial. National security staff have been trying to figure out whether to try accused terrorists–most notably Khalid Sheikh Mohammed–in civilian court or a military tribunal, but the defense bill makes tribunals the only option.

* Plus, Obama Will Issue an Executive Order Calling for Indefinite Detention

Hey folks on the left don’t worry you KNOW that this eyewitness testimony is sure to win people over:

The strangest things kept happening to Walid Muhammad Hajj during his years as a prisoner in Guantanamo Bay. “Once, when I was sleeping – on the floor, not on a bed – I suddenly felt that a cat was trying to penetrate me”, he told al-Jazeera in a recent interview. “It tried to penetrate me again and again.”

Then there was that “incident with a guy who sat next to me in the morning. When they brought the milk, he began to urinate into the milk.” “That’s when we knew that he was under a spell,” Mr Hajj recalled. “After he had recovered a little, after we read Koranic verses to him, he said to me: ‘The birds on the barbed wire would talk to me, and tell me to urinate in the milk.’”

Jewish staff in Guantanamo Bay, Mr Hajj concluded, practiced witchcraft on the inmates.

You can’t get more credible than that can you? I guess Gitmo is radicalizing people isn’t it?

Hey with all that Witchcraft being practiced by the Jews at Gitmo no wonder Seattle was going to put anti-Jewish stuff on their buses, that is until my show 4 guest Pam Geller decided to buy counter ads and then guess what:

two days after my organization, the American Freedom Defense Initiative, announced that we would be running king-sized pro-Israel ads on Seattle buses to counter their hate ads, King County Metro Transit folded: Transit officials issued a statement Thursday saying that they would be refusing the anti-Israel, antisemitic ads. They were “changing their policy.”

I always thought the best answer to speech is more speech but apparently Seattle thinks otherwise, but Pam being Pam isn’t going to stop there:

The Jew-hating, anti-Israel ad didn’t “pose an unacceptable risk of harm, disruption and interference with the transportation system and other breaches of the public safety, peace and order” until we responded with fierce truth. And then they said, never mind. But they won’t get off so easy. This is actionable. Legally actionable.

We will pursue this battle legally and roll out the pro-Israel bus ads elsewhere. My life-saving bus ads for Muslim apostates were banned in Detroit. We had to sue to get them up in Miami. We had to sue New York transit to get Ground Zero bus ads up.

Speech is free as long as you demonize Jews or Christians.

But we will not stand for it. And you shouldn’t, either.

Hey, whose side are you going to take, some Jewish Woman from New York or that sage of Islamic rationalism Walid Muhammad Hajj?

Is that it answers Max Blumenthal who frankly deserves no answer only scorn.

With all due respect (very little is actually due here) one wonders if Blumenthal is off his proverbial rocker. This claim of anti-Muslim “hysteria”, without which his conspiracy theory unravels, is insanely false. One might even say it’s spastic. More accurately, it’s just another “astonishing act of left-handed legerdemain” of the sort that Blumenthal routinely engages in as he touts the very same falsehoods we are used to seeing from the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR). The latest statistics from the FBI tell quite a different story.

Max makes his living the way he makes his living, he frankly isn’t worth the attention but enough well-financed left leaning outlets promote him that it becomes necessary to make sure that voices of sanity are not crowded out by the dollars of the left.

Pay particular attention to the chart on page two, of the piece, it speaks volumes.

Meanwhile there is no comment about this poster from a banned Islamic group concerning the evils of Christmas out of England. I’m sure Max will get around to condemning it as soon as someone pays him a higher wage to do so.

Take a look at this ad that Moveon has produced by merging youtube videos together:

What do you have here? A group of self identified dupes who actually believed the hype that we conservatives and some liberals saw in 2008. It is like a political Darwin award.

Oh and to the woman who says she doesn’t need the Money let me remind her of the Surber Challenge:

From Glenn Reynolds: “Hey, Fareed: The Treasury accepts donations. Make one, and post the receipt.”

This triggered a thought. Why don’t we skinflint conservatives with our miserly ways and narrow minds write a check to the Treasury and show that even though we oppose higher taxes, we are willing to — as patriotic and loyal Americans — voluntarily bail out our national government?

Sure.

While liberals talk, conservatives act.

So I wrote a check for a hundred bucks today to United States Treasury and mailed it to:

Gifts to the United States
U.S. Department of the Treasury
Credit Accounting Branch
3700 East-West Highway, Room 622D
Hyattsville, MD 20782

Don Surber’s challenge was only for $10 but he ponied up, have you? Has Moveon?

There is an old saying about how it is better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt. The people in this video were played in 2008 and at the urging of Move-on now have been played for suckers twice.

It’s pretty sad, but as always in the US we get the government we collectively deserve.

If it’s not Greenwald objecting to the methods it’s Johnson crying that the right will hit Obama for it.

Patterico makes the first point that needs to be made:

According to the story, Mohamud was corresponding with an overseas terrorist and looking for ways to become involved in “violent jihad.” This is when the FBI entered the picture, with an undercover sgent who pretended to be an associate of the terrorist willing to help Mohamud assemble a bomb to kill men, women and children at a Christmas tree lighting event.

According to the FBI, Mohamud had a thumb drive with detailed instructions for making the bomb. He mailed bomb components to the investigators so they could assemble the bomb. He set off a practice device. And he mailed passport photos to the investigators as part of a getaway plot. And so on and so on. He was quite serious about this.

Maybe it’s just me but I like the idea of the FBI (under this administration or ANY administration) nailing these guys before they can get very far.

McCain makes the 2nd point:

Michelle Malkin does make an important point when she says, “Violent jihad. Two words the current occupant of the White House won’t say together and about which he remains in stubborn denial.”

But then again, Malkin also often excoriated the previous occupant of the White House — that would be the Republican, President Bush — when he rhetorically obscured the specific nature of the jihadist danger.

It would be wiser if the administration would admit violent Jihad is the cause of this nonsense, but since we are getting the right results that might actually suggest that although out-loud they might be more likely to blame fans of Petticoat Junction than Violent Jihad privately they are apparently still managing to get the bad guys.

What really bothers me is this from Nice Deb:

check out the comments at FireDogLake. Ay-yi-yi. I was expecting at least some to say, “WTF, dude! This guy was no victim!” But no…. they all agree. It doesn’t occur to any of these commenters that capturing someone with the hateful and murderous worldview of Islamofascism before he kills, is a good thing. Why?

How can these people defend someone who has dedicated his life to killing as many innocent Americans as possible?

Honestly I think that the far left at once time encouraged this as a weapon against the Bushes, however the result is they managed to create an actual core of true believers who believe we deserve to be slaughtered.

My biggest worry had been that this administration shared that worldview, although diplomatically it has been juvenile, the results in terms of preventing attack and prosecuting the war has been admirable and in the end those results are all that count.
