…that within three years of Donald Trump’s election we would see this:

The Planned Parenthood abortion business announced today it will officially withdraw from the Title X program — costing it $60 million in taxpayer funds because it refuses to follow a new Trump administration rule that requires it to segment out its abortion business from legitimate health care if it wants federal funding under the program.

Because the abortion giant is withdrawing from Title X, the $60 million in taxpayer dollars i received annually can be redistributed to groups that engage in legitimate women’s health care.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals late Friday rejected a request from more than 20 states, Planned Parenthood and the American Medical Association to block new pro-life rules that Planned Parenthood is refusing to follow. Leading pro-life groups have praised the Trump administration for prioritizing women’s health ahead of abortion.

…they would have called you at best delusional and at worst insane.

Let’s also remember that before this Planned Parenthood funding was saved by a Republican Senate that had the chance to defund them but refused to do so, leaving it up to President Trump to do the heavy lifting.

At Instapundit this morning I spotted this:

EVANGELICALS ON TRUMP, IN A NUTSHELL: “Donald Trump is going to embarrass me every day of the year, but unlike the other side, he doesn’t hate my faith, and seek to do me harm.”

Related: Christian Just Voting For Whichever Political Party Less Likely To Make His Faith Illegal One Day. Yeah, this second piece is satire, but is it really?

Let’s take you back to just before the GOP convention July 3rd 2016

I suspect I and a lot of the faithful will have to spend a lot of the next 8 years praying, fasting and begging God to help both our country and the world avoid this horrible fate but while spiritual steps to prevent these catastrophes are good and proper temporal steps must also be taken.

And the single best temporal step will be the election of Donald Trump and the breaking of the power of those Americans who have decided their fellow citizens are the enemy.

Again I don’t take this step lightly, I know that there will be times that Donald Trump will disappointment me just as I expected Mitt Romney to disappoint me on social issues and John McCain to disappoint me on immigration and George W Bush who disappointed me on spending and the bank bailouts.

But while Trump will occasionally disappoint me (when he does I’ll call him on it) I am convinced he will neither persecute me nor strip me of my rights for holding my Conservative Catholic beliefs and acting on them.

I am very sorry to say I can not make that same statement about Hillary Clinton, and I’m even sorrier to see the day when I would say this about a presidential candidate.

Given the events of the last 3 years since I wrote that post I submit and suggest that President Trump is more, not less vital to the security of Christians in America.

Today (Thursday) is the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary a holy day of obligation so my day began with mass at 8 to fulfill my duty as a Catholic.

However my plans for the rest of the day are not my normal Thursday routine. Instead of getting ready for my last day of work for the week I will be heading up to Manchester NH to cover the President’s rally due to begin at 7 pm.

Thanks to the change in the economy since the last time I covered the future President during a campaign I was able to take a vacation day rather than rushing to cover then candidate Trump and then rushing to work still wearing my suit & press credential when I punched in and walked onto the floor.

That had been my plan today and if the Campaign had not decided to reject my media credential request I would at this moment be on the road grabbing a parking place half a day early and talking to the crowd that I suspect is already gathering to see him.

I decided against contacting Corey Lewandowski or folks from the NH GOP who I’ve covered for years to reverse this, I’m too old and too Sicilian for that.  If the campaign doesn’t want me there so be it.

If I had been there my plan had been to collect data for a question in my mind that I wanted to answer:

“What does the Trump base think of proposed ‘redflag’ laws and will disappointing them on the issue be enough to make them stay home in 2020?”

I think I know what the answer to that question will be, but would have rather spoken from hard data than my best guess, no matter how informed said guess might be.

New Hampshire is the perfect place to ask this question for three reasons.

1. It has a history of rejecting GOP candidates who disappoint them on the 2nd amendment see Scott Brown circa 2014.

2. Their governor Sununu , no movement conservative he, recently vetoed three anti-gun bills that the Democrat legislature passed in the wake of current events.

3. New Hampshire was a state President Trump lost by a hair in 2016 (47.62% to 47.25%) and is one that due to the booming economy might be expected to do better in circa 2020 even if there is a large run of Massachusetts voters suddenly appearing at the Granite State polls

It would have been wonderful to have a third chance to pose a question at a Trump campaign press conference, and frankly being able to question a sitting President would be the apex of any bloggers career, the real action however in my opinion, that matters in terms of Election 2020 is how his voters answered that question.

That’s, in my opinion, the story of the day, however I won’t be there to tell it.

But rest assured there will be plenty of members of the MSM who will be there, and their story of the day will be that the President is a racist, sexist, white supremacist whose economy is on the verge of recession and that those who support him are at best delusional or at worst aspiring Nazis who all aspire to be mass killers.

The fact that with minor variations this is the same story of the day that they have been telling since January 20th 2017 and before doesn’t seem to bother them as it fits in perfectly with the world view in their bubble.

Now maybe it’s just me but I’d think it would be a good idea to challenge this meme with 1st hand reporting and video to show it for the nonsense it is but hey if the President’s campaign doesn’t want that message challenged by someone like me, who am I to tell them otherwise?

Since nearly everyone is talking about the suicide of Jeffrey Epstein, I’m going to talk about something else. I don’t like to bore people – at least not intentionally.

Let’s talk about painting targets, since that’s what Rep Joaquin Castro (D-TX) did when he publicized a list of San Antonio donors to the Trump campaign in the wake of the latest mass shootings – in El Paso, TX and in Dayton, OH. Why would Castro do such a thing? You had to be on Twitter this past weekend to see the hurricane of accusations against President Trump – that his “racist rhetoric” and his support for “white supremacy (sic)” spurred these shooters. By the way, most of the Organized Left don’t want to talk about the Dayton shooting because the perpetrator was one of their minions — a big supporter of Elizabeth Warren.

Anyway, following the line of assertion that the president is a racist, Castro decided that certain Trump supporters who live in his district needed to be outed as racists. (Fun fact: at least two of the donors had also contributed to Castro.)

One of these supporters is Bill Miller Bar-B-Q.

Castro must have imagined thousands of San Antonians converging on the barbecue joints armed with torches and pitchforks, terrorizing customers in the drive-thru and staging boycotts. He must have dreamed about literally running the pit masters out of town.

But there are some rules about living in the Lone Star State. You go to church on Sunday. You don’t talk bad about somebody’s momma. And you don’t mess with the brisket.

The day after Castro published that hateful screed, thousands of Texans piled into their pickup trucks and drove to the nearest Bill Miller Bar-B-Q.

Social media reports flooded in showing massive drive-thru lines backing up onto busy streets. Hungry customers patiently waited in lines out the door.

I guess Castro forgot that his district is in Texas.

Update(DTG) It’s been a lot of years since our backup site has had an instalanche but with our primary site having problems and in the process of being updated and moved to a new host you’ll find our Magnificent Seven writers on either site for a while. Welcome. Find out why Donald Trump will be re-elected in five sentences but hear a warning lesson for him on the 2nd amendment. Check out Christopher Harper on this site here, and RH the navy man on our main site talking about a rusty problem here and discover why Joe Scarborough apparently doesn’t watch his own show and while why the I think the Clintons had nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein’s death, but hope you think so and finally what the plan for both sites is.
