It never ceases to amaze me how many people are shocked at the acts of the Biden Administration concerning Israel, particularly folks like Jonah Goldberg (a nice guy in person) and friends.
It appears that the folks who could have made a difference but decided to let the steal of the last election slide presumed that the goal of said steal was simply to remove Donald Trump which they were completely on board with. They now appear shocked SHOCKED that said folks had an actual agenda they wanted to push and are using said power to do so.
You mean to say if you let a bunch of bought and paid for crooks have power they might just use it? Amazing!
Apparently the shock SHOCK of Joe Biden deciding to suspend arms to Israel over attempting to destroy a group of terrorists who tired to annihilate them and still hold Israeli (and American) hostages is too much for some US senators.
of the Democratic senators running for reelection, most are staying mum, including those running in swing states. They include, at the time of publishing, Wisconsin’s Tammy Baldwin, Montana’s Jon Tester, Ohio’s Sherrod Brown, and Nevada’s Jacky Rosen. Michigan Rep. Elissa Slotkin—who is running to replace the state’s outgoing senator, Debbie Stabenow—has also remained silent, as have her fellow House colleagues running for Senate seats, Rubén Gallego of Arizona and David Trone of Maryland.
Oddly enough those who are shocked into silence are almost exclusively running in either red or swing states. Senators from deep blue states like Massachusetts, Vermont and Connecticut where even supporting the slaughter of Jews can’t hurt a democrat have no problem praising the move.
Unexpectedly of course.
One person who is incapable of being shocked into silence is James Carville who at 80 is just as loud as he has ever been. However while he is not silent he is in fact shocked.
He is shocked that nothing the Democrats seem to do in this campaign is working against Trump:
James Carville is frustrated that Trump is 'more ahead than he's ever been', and that Democrat tactics are 'not working': "It's going the wrong way. It's not working.Everything we're that throwing is spaghetti at a wall, and none of it is sticking, me included. We gotta try to… pic.twitter.com/OAMsDA37Ng
What you might note in this tirade is no mention of Biden’s policies or the overreaching of the left or the abandonment of Israel or the Economy that’s tanking faster than the Chicago White Sox. He might take a lesson from this old piece written on the day of the Scott Brown vs Martha Coakley election so many years ago: (My comment) in bold underline
If Brown wins today in Massachusetts, we’re going to hear all kinds of explanations. Misplaced voter anger is already being invoked. Coakley ran a horrible campaign. The incumbent party is unpopular when times are bad. It snowed. Or it didn’t. Whatever. The simplest explanation is that a majority of the citizens of Massachusetts oppose ObamaCare. Maybe they shouldn’t. Maybe they don’t realize how great it will be. (HA! DTG) But if Brown wins, the simplest explanation is that the most important issue, health care, was decisive. The voters don’t like ObamaCare and this is their chance to say so.
The actual performance of this administration or the state of the country is not relevant to Mr. Carville. It’s all about the game. He’s a salesman one might even say a master salesman and his product is Democrats any democrats no matter what they do, no matter what they say and after decades of selling a crappy product to a gullible public he is shocked SHOCKED that there doesn’t seem to be enough marks falling for the pitch.
So let me get this straight:
Bill Maher does an excellent eight minute monologue on the media covering irrelevant things for the sake of clicks and agenda:
And then leads the overtime segment of that very same with a story about a Virginia school district that had renamed two schools named after confederates restoring the original names.
Because on a weekend when Joe Biden is withholding military aid to Israel to the point where even Jonah Goldberg’s friends are done with him there is no issue bigger that needs to be addressed than a school named after Stonewall Jackson who died in 1863.
I can’t contain my degree of shock that he might just be another self serving liberal after all.
Finally I laughed aloud when I saw this story out on the Daily Wire:
Speaking on the support that RFK Jr. enjoys from some on the political right, Penn said: “I think that it will drop in half if Republicans learn the views, right now they don’t know these things.”
“And there’s a group of Republicans that don’t like anybody and he’s now the alternative to the alternative,” he continued. “So he’s got some votes, but I agree with you, he would lose a lot of Republican votes if this screen that you’re putting up there really got out and got broadcast.”
Here is the video
WATCH: Mark Penn on RKF Jr's base of support:
"I think that it will drop in half if Republicans learn the views, right now they don't know these things. And there's a group of Republicans that don't like anybody and he's now the alternative to the alternative. So he's got votes… pic.twitter.com/TjDhUXimaf
So let me get this straight, Republican votes are going to be shocked SHOCKED that a President Candidate:
Whose Father was AG in a Democrat administration and ran for President as a Democrat
Whose uncle was a Democrat congressman, Senator and President
Whose other Uncle was a Democrat senator for 40+ years
Who has been a democrat all his life
And who initially attempted to run for the Democrat nomination
Might have a bunch of opinions that are completely consistent with the Democrat party?
My degree of surprise can’t be understated!
Let me tell you something Mr. Penn, any republican who votes for RFK doesn’t care what his opinions are. They just want to be able tell their republican friends at GOP events they didn’t vote for Biden and tell their celebrity friends at events attended by all the “right” people that they didn’t vote for Trump.
I guess Iran and Russia aren’t the only ones who ignore Biden when he says “Don’t”
Israel retaliated on Thursday night to Iran, reportedly launching strikes that targeted the west of the country. Explosions were heard early Friday morning local time in Isfahan prompting commercial flights to divert from their routes.
Israel launched missiles in a retaliatory strike against Iran on Thursday night, ABC, CBS and NPR reported, citing senior US officials.
Bloomberg reported that Israeli officials notified the United States earlier on Thursday that the country planned to retaliate to Saturday’s attack in the next 24-48 hours.
Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency reported at around 5:30 a.m. local time (10:00 p.m. ET Thursday) that explosions were heard in Qahjaverestan, northeast of Isfahan. The cause of the explosions is currently unknown, per the outlet. CNN reported that Iran’s air defense systems had been activated, citing Iranian media.
The report came shortly after local sources reported explosions in Isfahan in central Iran, in the As-Suwayda Governorate of southern Syria, and in the Baghdad area and Babil Governorate of Iraq early Friday morning.
Apparently Iran figured out that Biden’s latest don’t wasn’t going to be effective:
the Iranian regime isn’t taking any chances trying to securely button up what they have, knowing it’s a prime target for attempted destruction. Prudence dictates they bubblewrap their nuclear facilities.
JUST IN CASE
Iran closed down its nuclear facilities amid fears of an Israeli attack, the United Nations has revealed.
Inspectors were blocked from the sites on Sunday, Rafael Grossi, the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency chief, said.
That’s not the only asset Iranians want to protect. For months, and in other periods of unrest prior to this, a certain Iranian Spy ship gussied up as a freighter has been plying the waters of the Red Sea. It mysteriously always seems to be in the vicinity when Houthi missiles are finding their targets or certain tankers or cargo ships need to be culled for boarding and hijacking out of the hundreds floating by.
No word on what the Damage is but no matter how you cut it, Iran loses face, but not as much as Biden.
Then again how much face does the Biden administration have?
After four days of Pinball it’s time to catch up on a few things:
The Iranian attack on Israel took place while I was at Pintastic. There was an excellent graphic showing where the various missiles and drones came from. I think it quite significant that none came from Lebanon.
Why? Lebanon is in range of an Israeli invasion and can do so without having to cross any other border.
Do you think Iran would have dared to attack if an Israeli army could reach them directly?
The supporters of Iran were busy shutting down airports and bridges around the country, however in Florida thing went a bit differently:
Ron DeSantis had something to say about this as well:
"You had videos where these pro-Hamas protesters were shutting down bridges and streets all across this country. And what happened when they tried to do that in Miami? They got their butts dragged off the street like they should've!" –@GovRonDeSantishttps://t.co/OgsMO8ql39pic.twitter.com/WOvo3ux2gG
I don’t like heat and I don’t like bugs but I must say Florida is looking better and better as a place to live
The President of Columbia University and their board testified today on antisemitism on campus.
When asked under oath if a professor who praised the attack of Oct 7th was on a particular committee she claimed: “he is no longer a chair of that Committee.”
🧵On October 8, Professor Joseph Massad described the Oct. 7 brutal terror attack as "awesome" and a “stunning victory.”
He also happens to be the chair of an important academic approval Committee.

Yet a few minutes later:
Antisemitic professor Joseph Massad still appears on @Columbia’s website as chair of the academic review committee even after university President Shafik claimed he was removed.
Her lack of action to combat antisemitism is exactly what has fostered Jewish hate on campus. pic.twitter.com/AM6Kd6xFHt
Mafiosi dream to be as feared by their prey as these college presidents are of these supporters of terror.
There are a lot of fears that the left has with this upcoming election, the bad economy, the border crisis, the protestors blocking bridges, but if I had to pick one thing that scares them the most, it would be this:
The Bodega and Small Business Group (BSBG), which represents thousands of bodegas in New York City, has issued a statement backing President Donald J. Trump, slamming local District Attorney Alvin Bragg, and hitting out at local politicians who have ignored the widespread criminality occurring in the city.
“The Bodega and Small Business Group (BSBG)… is honored to host President Donald J. Trump at the Blue Moon bodega in Manhattan where Jose Alba was arrested for simply defending himself and his business against a convicted felon, the statement began.
If the left thought for one moment that the Spanish speaking community was starting to lean Trump the border would be sealed tighter than a drum.
Right now a case is being argued at the Supreme Court that will have a huge impact on many of the J6 defendants.
The question of selective prosecution came up and Justice Gorsuch make short work of US Solicitor Elizabeth Prelogar
Supreme Court Justice Gorsuch nukes Joe Biden's DOJ over January 6th sentences:
Gorsuch lists multiple cases of folks who "obstructed a Congressional proceeding" without receiving a 20 year sentence.
As the U.S. government muddles its way through the current crisis in Israel, I am reminded how American involvement in Middle East affairs usually turns out badly for almost everyone involved.
Here’s a quick review of past mistakes:
–In 1953, the CIA helped launch the overthrow of duly elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh and helped return the shah to power. Ultimately, the coup fueled religious discontent and led to the rule of mullahs in Teheran.
–In 1957, President Dwight Eisenhower launched a plan of economic and military aid to the Middle East. Lebanon was the only country to embrace the doctrine, which eventually led the U.S. Navy to send ships and troops to Beirut when the pro-Western regime was threatened. The Lebanese president, Camille Chamoun, was a Christian, and his critics were Muslims. The Christian-Muslim divide eventually broke out into a civil war in the 1970s, which continued for nearly two decades, with the United States seen as supporting the Christians over the Muslims.
–In 1982, the United States sent ‘peacekeeping forces” to Beirut after Israel invaded Lebanon. Again, the United States did not appear as a neutral play, leading Muslim extremists to launch attacks against American Marines, leaving more than 200 soldiers dead in 1983.
–In 1978-9, the Carter Administration helped create the Camp David Accords, intended to bring peace between Egypt and Israel. Ultimately, Egypt became isolated in the Arab world, leading to deeper divisions in the Middle East.
–In the late 1970s and early 1980s, the U.S. government launched several ill-advised policies. First, the United States provided weapons to Islamic groups fighting Soviet forces in Afghanistan. Eventually, these groups fought U.S. troops after the 2001 attacks. Second, the United States asked Egypt to supply weapons to Iraqi troops fighting Iran in the 1980s. That program encouraged Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, who sent his troops to Kuwait in 1990. After that, the administration launched Operation Desert Storm to drive out the Iraqi military.
–More recently, the U.S. military invaded Iraq and Afghanistan, leading to more chaos and anti-American sentiment throughout the Middle East.
All told, the United States has an abysmal record in bringing stability to the region. So far, the Biden administration has vacillated between support for Israel and concern for the Palestinians in Gaza.
Given the U.S. government’s history of mistakes, I think we are unlikely to help resolve the current crisis.
