Answer: When the black man people call to be strung up is conservative

Question: When is it OK in the age of civility to call for lynching, stringing up or sending a black man back to the fields?

Our friends on the left decided to protest the Koch Brothers conference. In the event sponsored by Common Cause, AFFCE, The Ruckus Society, 350, Greenpeace, Code Pink, the Progressive Democrats of America, the public attending had some choice words for Justice Clarence Thomas:

Big Government noted something missing:

At the morning panel event featuring UCI Law Dean Erwin Chemerinsky, activist Jim Hightower, Center for American Progress journalist and “Koch Brothers expert” Lee Fang, California Nurses Association co-president DeAnn McEwan, and President Obama’s former green jobs czar Van Jones, we were forewarned of the impending demise of both the environment and democracy at the hands of corporate lobbyists and their government shills.

There was eerily no mention of GE, AEP, Goldmann Sachs, Pfizer, Aetna, Alcoa, Xerox, Google, Motorola, IBM, or several other corporate giants who profit at taxpayer expense via their K Street connections to the Obama White House as well as the very economic and regulatory policies they lobby that these Common Cause panelists commonly endorse. But I’m sure that’s only because no one wanted to point out the obvious. Right?

I’m sure the No Labels crowd, the Major networks and the Cable networks will rapidly report on these racist declarations of white folks against a black man with power? Hot Air asks:

Will the Southern Poverty Law Center report on the “Rage on the Left” and label Common Cause a racist hate group?

R.B is more blunt:

Let’s just imagine if the video above was taken during a Tea Party rally and several participants stated that a sitting US Supreme Court Justice should be sent “back to the fields” or “strung up”. Picture the news coverage. Predict what Chris Matthews or Rachel Maddow or Keith Olbermann (if he still had a show) would be saying right now and over the next few days. It would be non-stop. Democrat Congressional members would be using the tape as “proof” of what is really behind the opposition to ObamaCare or any other piece of legislation they want to get passed.

Nonsense I’m sure they will give this story all the attention the big three gave the Planned Parenthood story this week.

Yet another story that the MSM is not going to report on:

In the video the clinic manager of PP Central New Jersey’s Perth Amboy mill, LPN Amy Woodruff, tells “Joe” and “Gia” how to get abortions, STD treatment, and contraceptives for their brothel of adolescents as young as 14, some here illegally.

Woodruff coaches the pair on how to have the younger girls lie about their age. She gives them the name of a mill that is apparently schlockier than hers, Metropolitan Medical Associates, that will do abortions with fewer questions asked.

The AP story on this came out two weeks ago, but we have seen nothing in the news. Remind you of another story?

The Gosnell story—a story that by any measure deserved in-depth coverage, some serious discussion about regulation and responsibility, and a few features forcing the nation to consider just when a “late-term” abortion slips into the category of “infanticide” or what our leadership and politicians really think of all of this—proved too big and too messy for the mainstream media.

They did not want light shed on dark truths that cannot be prettied up with euphemisms and nebulous notions of “choice.” They did not want to have to ponder the likelihood of Gosnell’s stinking, body-piled-and-bloodstained rooms being replicated in other cities, in other states, where other authorities chose to look away from the carnage, rather than address it.

And the Anchoress asks the question that I’ve been thinking:

So, allow me to ask the impolitic question I have hinted at elsewhere: in choosing to look away, in choosing to under-report, in choosing to spin, minimize, excuse, and move-along when it comes to Kermit Gosnell—and to this whole subject of under-regulated abortion clinics, the debasement of women and the slaughter of living children—how are the press and those they protect by their silence any better than the Catholic bishops who, in decades past, looked away, under-reported, spun, minimized, excused, moved-along, and protected the repulsive predator-priests who have stolen innocence and roiled the community of faith?

Read the whole thing. They are different in that they do not fear a press reporting on their culpability of silence.

Always remember the bias in the media is not just in what they report on, but on what they DON’T.

Sixty Three Seats? Sixty Four Seats? No the midterms are about Lisa Murkowski…

…at least that’s what David Broder thinks:

Palin has conducted a vendetta against the Murkowski family, and she became governor four years ago by upsetting Lisa’s father, Frank Murkowski, in another low-turnout GOP primary.

I understand the political class feels privileged and entitled but I didn’t realize that running again Frank Murkowski and defeating him constitutes a vendetta. Take it from a Sicilian American Dave, you don’t know from vendetta.

Before he left office, Frank Murkowski appointed Lisa to a vacant Republican Senate seat only to see her lose the nomination this year.

So let me get this straight, Murkowski’s seat was given to her on a silver platter by her father and this is not a problem? Imagiane how different the piece would have been if said appointment had been made by a governor Palin or Bush.

When she lost the primary, that was expected to be the end of her. Miller settled in for an easy race against a little-known Democrat in his Republican-leaning state. But Murkowski, with some notable help from anti-Palin elements and parts of the energy industry, decided to try a long-shot write-in campaig/

Hold on, are you saying that anti-Palin elements drove this campaign, and the energy industry, you mean big oil etc? I thought people like Palin were supposed to be in the pocket of big oil?

The second funniest line of the piece is this one:

The demographics required that Murkowski seek support from Democrats

Let’s see democrats who absolutely loathe Sarah Palin and hope to bring her down have a choice between voting for a democrat who has no prayer or helping to defeat a candidate endorsed by Palin knowing the MSM will jump all over her for it. That must have been a real tough choice for partisan democrats. I’m sure that Broder gives that fact a lot of weight in the results, doesn’t he?

“I think that’s what voters are looking for. I don’t think that most are looking for somebody that is going to follow the litmus test of one party or another, and never deviate from it. I think they want us to think, and I think they want us to work cooperatively together. So, that’s my pledge to all Alaskans, regardless of whether you are the most conservative Republican or the most liberal Democrat, I’m going to try to find a way that we can find common ground to help the state and to help our country.”

Want to know what the election was about? That’s an authoritative answer.

So a three-way election with a turnout about the size of the turnout of MA-4’s congressional race giving where the incumbent had an incredible financial advantage and the backing of both anti-Palin forces and big energy is what the election was all about. Call me a naif but I’d guess those 60+ seats including Ann Marie Buerkle and Renne Ellmers and Allen West and the tea party movement might have a tad more to do with things.

The media is desperate to change the narrative of the last election before the next one, expect a lot more of this for a while.

My speech for Christine O’Donnell

Delaware voters are being bombarded by the MSM’s laugh a minute message on Christine O’Donnell, in the spirit of getting things focused on the issues I submit this speech for the O’Donnell’s campaign’s consideration. No charge:

You know the left and the media have had a lot to say about my candidacy, most of it involved laughter.

First laughed saying about how my candidacy was a joke, until we received significant endorsements

Then they laughed at the endorsements that we received saying they were too late until we started to close in the polls

Then they laughed at my chances of winning the primary right up until the actual results were announced.

Then they laughed at our war chest saying even though I DID win we couldn’t compete in the money race, until people like you kicked in nearly $2,000,000 to finance our campaign.

Now they are laughing again, grabbing sound bites from as far back as when I was in high school to persuade you that I’m not ready for this office. They are desperate to change the subject from the issues facing the working families of Delaware and onto sound-bytes from years ago.

So lets get the message out clearly:

There are times in my life when I haven’t spoken clearly but when I get to Washington and vote to Repeal Obamacare that vote will speak loud and clear.

There are times when I’ve been misunderstood but when I vote against Cap and Trade that message will be understood by Washington.

There was a time when I had trouble with student loans, but when I vote against bailing out banks with your tax money you’ll have no question of how I’d manage your tax dollars.

I can tell you these things because I’m proud of the vision I have for Delaware, my opponent and in fact the entire democratic party nationwide wants to change the subject because they know their vision is contrary to what the voters want and need. So they will talk old TV clips and laugh and make jokes, while you struggle to pay your mortgage and get by.

They may think what’s going on is funny. I don’t. I know what hard times are, I’ve had them myself, and when elected I promise that I won’t forget those times while I try to help bring us out of them together.

And that’s no laughing matter.
