In the words of George Romney, father of Mitt, American voters are in the midst of “the greatest brainwashing that anybody can get.”

Romney, who was then the governor of Michigan, was a leading contender for the 1968 Republican nomination when he made his “brainwashing” gaffe.

Leaders, let alone presidents, don’t allow themselves to be brainwashed. Well, Joe Biden has, but what’s left of his mind was washed away at Rehoboth Beach.

Getting brainwashed by clowns is even more humiliating. I’ll get to them in a little bit.

Our ongoing mass brainwashing, although now it’s usually called gaslighting, began, as Mollie Hemingway tells us, with the lamestream media covering up Joe Biden’s senility in 2020.

“There is nothing mainstream about the so-called mainstream media,” Hemingway said last week. “They are far-left. They tend to help [Kamala Harris] out with her politics. But it reminds me so much of what we saw in the 2020 race when Joe Biden was allowed, through the complete help of that corporate media, to run his campaign from the basement … The result of that is that we have a country and world in chaos.”

There was a three-week respite from the gaslighting by the media this summer, when the self-appointed puppet masters decided Senile Joe had to go, and they finally reported on his dementia. Biden’s replacement at the top of the Democrats’ presidential ticket, Vice President Kamala Harris, is an empty pantsuit. Her greatest skill, is something that can only be accomplished in the public sector, is failing upwards.

Move ahead in our Wayback Machine from the late 1960s to the late 1970s. This election is almost forgotten now, but Dianne Feinstein, who succeeded George Moscone as mayor of San Franciso, ran for a full-term in 1979. She won in the runoff, but the first round of voting bears noting. In his leftist agitprop campaign, Jello Biafra, the lead singer of the Dead Kennedys, a punk rock band, astonishingly finished in fourth place with 3-percent of the vote.

Oddly enough, Harris’ base is San Franciso, her first election win occurred in the 2003 district attorney race.

But I have the media in mind for this blog post.

Part of Biafra’s mayoral platform, with one change, needs to be put in place, nationally.

The punk rocker favored forcing business leaders to wear clown suits. Instead, I support requiring journalists to don clown costumes. Because they are clowns–evil ones, that is.

Before that happens, politely and within the law, we need to confront these liars and clowns, whether in person, on social media, or by email, and let them know we are well past believing their gaslighting.

As they did with Biden’s senility, the lamestream media is ignoring or minimizing the reporting on Harris’ far-left record, including her opposition to fracking–a spokesperson recently walked that one back–her support of spending less money on law enforcement, and her backing of a what the leftists call single-payer health care, which means the elimination of our private healthcare system.

And since Harris refuses to do sit-down interviews–the media is squelching that story too–the vice president can’t be confronted with questions about her unpopular political positions.

By the way, what kind of journalists aren’t clamoring for public figures to speak to them?

Clown-type journalists, that’s who. Frauds who put three-card monte dealers to shame.

After Donald Trump’s upset win over Hillary Clinton, there was a collective, and yes, welcome response by the media along the lines of, “We didn’t get it right in the Trump-Clinton election and we refused to take Trump supporters seriously–but we’re going to reach out to them, so we don’t make the same mistake again.”

Well, that attitude lasted about two weeks. Then the corporate media leftists, the clowns, hitched their out-of-date wagon to the Trump-Russia collusion lie.

The time for reproachment with the mainstream media is over. Journalists, most of them, need to find another line of work. Yes, of course, learning to code is an option for them. I’ve been on the wrong side of receiving pink slips, I know too well the pain of losing a job. But I was earning an honest living when I whenever I was let go.

And not only has the time arrived to confront the lamestream media, but the moment is also here to cancel your subscriptions to publications that repeatedly insult the public with disinformation and yes, brainwashing.

An aside: Here in Illinois, there is a bill on the desk of our Democrat governor, J.B. Pritzker, that will offer taxpayer-funded subsidies to state newspapers. It’s a terrible idea, which means of course Pritzker will sign the subsidy bill. Besides, Pritzker’s party benefits the most from our dishonest media. He’ll be helping out his pals and political allies.

But government subsidies will not save newspapers and other mainstream media outlets. The market for honest media has moved on. Besides, when government gets involved with business, it always picks the losers. And the media, especially in hellholes like Illinois, is playing their fellow wokesters, who at best, make up 20 percent of the population. We are a center-right country.

Send away the clowns. I’ll be leading the laughing when that happens.

Replace them with real journalists.

I just read a story out of Hotair that is a perfect symbol of the US under the Biden (Obama) Administration in general and San Francisco under the left in particular:

The start of the story is par for the course, soft on crime city allowed elderly gentleman to be attacked goes easy on the attacker. That part has become so normal in blue cites that it’s almost not worth reporting. The fact that this was not the first time he was attacked in the city wasn’t a shock either. The shock is what happens in the end:

And that was the last straw. This past Sunday Liao had a final meeting in Chinatown with seven of his old friends, people he will likely never see again. This coming weekend Rong Xin Liao is flying back to China after more than 24 years in the United States. He and his family have decided it is simply too dangerous for him to stay here in San Francisco.

Rongxin Liao, 87, will take a flight this Saturday back to Guangzhou, Guangdong on a one-way ticket, his son, Jing Liao, confirmed with The Standard. Rongxin Liao plans to spend the rest of his life there.

“It’s too dangerous here,” Jing said in Cantonese. “Public safety situation in San Francisco has become worse and worse.”

Think about that for a second. He didn’t decide to move to another city or county or state here in America. He decided that he would rather live out his life in a Chinese communist country rather than stay in the United States.

I’m not going to blame the man for his decision. He’s been attacked multiple times and the authorities don’t seem to consider it a priority as this “Asian hate” isn’t being perpetuated by Trump voters. Why on earth would he consider trusting this city to protect him?

But I DO blame the city and the state and the country for allowing it to reach this point. As the son of a World War 2 vet I didn’t think I’d live to see the day when people flee the US for the safer climes of Chinese Communism. It’s a national disgrace and I’m profoundly embarrassed but in fairness this is what the folks in the city and state keep voting for so why would anyone expect them to get anything but the government they deserve.

Good and Hard.

Thus the word of the LORD came to me: Son of man, I have appointed you a watchman for the house of Israel. When you hear a word from my mouth, you shall warn them for me. If I say to the wicked man, You shall surely die; and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his wicked conduct so that he may live: that wicked man shall die for his sin, but I will hold you responsible for his death. If, on the other hand, you have warned the wicked man, yet he has not turned away from his evil nor from his wicked conduct, then he shall die for his sin, but you shall save your life.

If a virtuous man turns away from virtue and does wrong when I place a stumbling block before him, he shall die. He shall die for his sin, and his virtuous deeds shall not be remembered; but I will hold you responsible for his death if you did not warn him. When, on the other hand, you have warned a virtuous man not to sin, and he has in fact not sinned, he shall surely live because of the warning, and you shall save your own life.

Ezekiel 3:17-21

Jay Nordlinger once said that sooner or later you have to just accept that people who vote for Democrat rule that destroys their cities actually would rather have their cities go to hell than have a conservative be in charge.

Black Residents of Chicago’s south side have apparently decided that allowing mostly Hispanic border crossers come into their neighborhoods is a bridge too far.

How DARE those horrible republicans in Texas not allow themselves to be stuck with the problems that woke Democrats fostered on them!

Oddly enough I suspect nobody is going to call them racists

In San Francisco Yet another business has decided to take a hike:

In October 2022, after completing a multimillion-dollar renovation, Australian furniture and lifestyle retailer Coco Republic opened its flagship San Francisco location at 55 Stockton St. in Union Square.

Seven months later, a Coco Republic spokesperson told SFGATE that its flagship San Francisco location is set to close in the next few months, citing a familiar reason: lack of customer foot traffic, which the company pinned in part on unsafe conditions — or at least people’s perception of unsafe conditions — in the surrounding area.

Of course the real story is they actually thought opening their 8 months ago was a good idea. I mean look at the train system:

The day after the report was released, as if to emphasize the heart pounding intensity of possible encounters with fellow BART passengers, there was this guy with a meat cleaver…

A man wearing a balaclava and pacing up and down a BART train this afternoon slashed a fellow passenger across the back with a meat cleaver, and caused more than a dozen other riders to scurry away in fear, according to a witness to the scene.

I love the verbiage, “scurried.” OMG, you know they were running for their frickin’ lives to whatever end or car they could crawl over the person in front of them to get to first.

There’s a reason why only 17% of riders feel safe on their system.

The old saying “neither rain nor snow nor dark of night shall keep the postman from his appointed rounds” apparently doesn’t apply in Seattle

Some south Seattle residents are claiming a significant ‘mail fail’ is occurring as the United States Postal Service (USPS) has halted mail delivery due to a rise in recent vandalism and theft.

A sign at a nearby U.S. Postal Service office in Columbia City is telling residents in the “98118” zip code to pick up their mail in person at an annex office, located at 5920 Martin Luther King Jr Way South. The zip code covers around 49,000 people — but it’s unclear how many of them are not getting their mail delivered.

Well who needs the US mail anyways? After all if you’re worried about crime or walking the streets the lack of mail isn’t going to phase you at all.

Kim Gardner’s resignation is due to go in effect on June 1st. but she’s going out as she came in.

Saturday May 6th, there was a Cinco de Mayo parade held in St. Louis. Lots of people, lots of drinking and at one point some people in the street got into a fight. Two people watching the fight from the sidewalk pulled out guns and started shooting.

As the party on Cherokee street was winding down, gunfire broke out at about 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.

According to police, a man was grazed in his upper thigh and a woman was shot in the leg. Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital and are in stable condition.

An investigation found the victims were watching some men fight from an intersection when one of the suspects started waiving a handgun.

The two shooters, a man and a woman, were quickly identified because there was video showing them pulling out their guns and opening fire.

The shooters on camera drawing their guns, can’t get more open and shut then that, except Gardner has released them and refused to press charges. The obvious question is asked:

The piece concludes, “Gardner could end her time in office better than she conducted most of it by publicly explaining this.” That was published yesterday but so far no explanation has been offered.

I’m struggling to think of an explanation for allowing this woman to walk. Maybe there is a good explanation for this, but given that it was all caught on video it’s hard to imagine how lack of evidence could be a problem here.

Oh there is a good explanation, just not a just one.

Finally in Portland the place where I had my honnymoon 35 years ago and almost moved to because of how beautiful the country was, things continue to go downhill as the drugs take over this whitest of white towns.

Last year they set a record for deaths by Fentanyl overdoses.

This year said: Hold my beer:

According to new data, overdose deaths are up nearly 50% so far this year compared to last year.

Last year, there were a record 158 overdose deaths in Portland. This year will almost certainly surpass that peak. There have already been 85, a 46% increase from this time last year, PPB spokesman Nathan Shephard tells WW.

“Keep in mind that the numbers for this year are actually only preliminary because the Medical Examiner will continue to process toxicology reports that will only increase the number of deaths considered overdoses,” he added.

The new data was released today after a deadly weekend in which 8 people in various parts of the city died from suspected fentanyl overdoses. Two of the deaths happened last Friday. There were five more deaths Saturday and one on Sunday. Police believe the victims bought street drugs which they believed was cocaine but which was actually fentanyl.

Anyone want to make bets on next year?

Quick closing thought. All of these results in all of these cities were a choice, these cities CHOOSE to put in people that advanced these results. They have been warned repeatedly that this has been the case and we have been ignored. Thus have they reaped what they have sowed, but as Daniel cried when they were leading Susanna to be stoned for a crime she did not commit:

“I am innocent of this woman’s blood.”

Daniel 13:46 (New American Bible)

I and those of us who have warned of this result are innocent of what has gone down

I keep reading that the polls for Trump are great since the indictment. I think that doesn’t matter. I think what matters is how Kari Lake’s lawsuit in Arizona is doing, because since the laws are being enforced selectively what is the incentive for the left to not steal the election in the same key districts that they did the last time?

Seriously even if you think the last election was on the up and up what is there any disincentive for the left to try to steal this election, seriously do you see one.

I alluded to this yesterday but let me say it bluntly. I don’t want any help for San Francisco from the feds. Not a single penny and not a single federal officer to help enforce the law.

This city and this state elected the people who made the laws there that bred what they got, let them clean it up.

Until there are consequences for their actions, consequences that require then to act, nothing will change.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around Bud Light deciding that Dylan Mulvaney is the perfect face for the brand. Cripes it’s not like there are not a million beer choices out there these days for people choose and doing so a week after a transgender shot up a Christian school speaks volumes.

In fairness to Bud lite I suspect their brand was not high on the Transgender’s customer list before today and in even more fairness everywhere I go Bud lite is the cheep beer offered at a discount. Perhaps they’re figuring that teenagers who want to get drunk cheap are more interested in price then they are politics. They’re likely right but I’d love to see how the distributers are reacting to this.

I wish I had come up with this one but I have to give credit to DaWife who saw this somewhere on facebook:

Ask not why the children shouldn’t see drag queens, ask why drag queens crave an audience of children

In fairness before Christianity took hold, the sexualization of children was the norm so the secular left is just going back to their pre-Christian roots.

Finally in the wake of the WPGA Australasian locking down their twitter account after a biological male won his first WPGA tournament I want to quote swimmer Riley Gaines concerning people’s reaction to her vocal opposition to fake women in women’s sports.

None of those people giving thanks had the courage to do what she did, speak the truth out loud against opposition. This is the goal of the left consequences for speaking the truth aloud and no consequences for pushing a lie, but a few people have the courage to fight against it.

It’s those few who prove that courage remains the primary virtue that all others depend on.
