Of all the aspects of the great reveal (at least to Americans) about the condition of Joe Biden the part that has bothered me the most has been that nobody at all seems to care to publicly ask the question: Who’s the actual Boss who is functioning as President of the United States?

You don’t see it asked on TV, you don’t hear it asked on Talk Radio and certainly nobody in the press is asking the question.

I suspect this is because a lot of us on the right don’t need to be told. We figured out that this was Obama’s 3rd term from day 1 and don’t need to be told who has been actively and purposely destroying this country over the last three years and contrarywise nobody on the left wants to acknowledge that they’re OK with having an unelected and unaccountable person (or persons) ruling over them. Well except for Bill Mahar. That’s the “Democracy” they’re looking to save.

In terms of the health of this republic on the anniversary of its birth that’s the saddest thing of all.

The first big lie concerning this has been telling us Joe Biden is fit for office, the 2nd Big lie that the media has been pushing is that they had no idea this was going on.

That is the primary reason why you suddenly see Jake Tapper asking tough questions, the MSM suddenly generating stories about Biden’s mental health etc.

The Obama team that’s running the show knows even they can’t salvage the credibility of this administration to the left, but it’s vital that they salvage the credibility of the press or their usefulness is at an end.

Over the weekend there were conflicting reports on if the decision was made to Drop Joe Biden or not was made, Bill O’Reilly tells us that the decision to drop Biden has in fact been made and I think the best proof of it was the decision to send Joe Biden out to make a four minute speech from a teleprompter and then door dash away.

One doesn’t make that kind of decision if you are trying to convince the American people that old Joe is just fine and dandy, but you DO if you want to erode support for keeping him on the ticket from a voter base that (God knows why) is actually fond of him while convincing the no longer useful idiots of the Biden family that they need to go without having to arrange his demise that’s the way to do it.

That in fact was, in my opinion, the reason for arranging the debate so early. When this happens the Obama team has the time to remove him and if he had somehow managed to muddle through that’s four more years of the US run by our enemies.

One of the most significant reports that I’ve heard so far has been that Biden has been using a teleprompter at big money donor events for a very long time now.

While one should not doubt the ability of humans to ignore painful truths that they don’t want to acknowledge to any donor that should have been a gigantic clue as to what is actually going on. Apparently all these big money Donors who have been opening up their checkbooks for this administration for the last three years didn’t care that Biden wasn’t in charge as long as they were getting their cuts and priorities from those who were.

But now that the general public knows suddenly they can’t see pouring money down the drain. That stoppage of the feed trough is the best chance they have of convincing the Biden family to step aside without the Obama team having to arrange an “accident”.

Or as Sarah Hoyt put it:

I’ll get ahead of the news, Biden didn’t kill himself

While all of this creates a lot of trouble for the left the biggest problem the big reveal has created is that it’s taken the focus of the election off of Donald Trump and puts it on Joe Biden.

The single biggest strength of the left is the irrational hatred so many Americans have of Donald Trump. During the Trump years we had a good economy, successes nationally and internationally and the most robust dissent allowed without penalty. Yet the media/left has managed to sell the belief to their useful idiots that Trump who will be a lame duck as soon as he is elected, will somehow become a dictator putting people in camps despite the fact all these folks lived through the Trump administration without finding themselves oppressed by Dictatorship.

But between the SCOTUS rulings short circuiting the various trials and sentencings and the Biden dementia scandal the focus of the election has been taken off of Donald Trump and placed on Joe Biden.

Given the Biden economy, the riots, the wars and the economy as bad as I’ve ever seen in my life (Bob’s stores are the latest victims of it) the last thing the left wants is for this election to be a referendum on the Biden Administration. As long as it remains so Trump has a chance to create a vote margin between him and his opponent “too big to rig”.

This is why I think the 137 days to election day are going to be the most dangerous days for the American Republic in my lifetime because we are going to see the left make moves consistent with a desperate cornered animal.

Thinking of the Boston Red Sox, after watching this version of the team play I’ve decided that they are one of the most interesting teams in the league for two simple reasons:

  1. They have a lot of young players with great futures ahead of them.
  2. They are good enough to beat the best teams on any given day, and also bad enough to lose to the worst team on any given day (They split series with the Braves AND the White Sox who had lost 14 straight.

That means it’s always worth watching because you never know what’s coming up on any given day.

Watching the left go absolutely ape-shit over Israel rescuing four of their hostages has been one of the most interesting spectacles I’ve ever seen. I suspect it has been an eye opener to a lot of folks who didn’t recognize what they had become.

The Obama (oops I mean Biden) administration’s determination to not only save Hamas but to avoid any credit on this point is rather astounding, well given as I said the fact that it’s the Obama team running the show perhaps it’s not.

But all of this makes a great backdrop to Bibi’s speech before congress coming up.

That will be quite a spectacle complete with insurrectioney leftists outside and perhaps inside, who will of course not be prosecuted.

Unexpectedly of course

A long time ago my former radio co-host John Weston told a story about Obama that I won’t repeat without evidence but I will say two things:

  1. All of the actions of this and the first Obama terms are consistent with said story
  2. Just about unthinkable things that has happened in our culture over the last 10 years was predicted by John 15 years ago

If he knew stock futures like he knew America’s future he’d be rich today

Unlike the Redsox the Celtics have been less interesting to watch as they have pretty much rolled over everyone they have played lately.

So far the Boston Celtics have been unstoppable in the finals. Dallas is going to need to go 4-1 against the Celtics over the next five games to take this title.

While this is possible in theory the Celtics have not gone 1-4 or even 2-3 over any five game period this entire season.

At this point the only real danger to the Celtics are themselves and you can see that both Tatum and Brown have bad memories of their last trip to the finals and are determined not to repeat it.

That’s a good sign for the team but bad for talk radio who are running out of things to say.

The fuss about Catlyn Clarke being left off the US Olympic teams has made for an interesting dynamic.

The US woman’s team has won seven straight goal medals at the Olympics in fact their winning streak is seven years older then my 1999 LeSabre. They have not lost a game in the lifetime of my youngest son who was born in 1993.

Given these facts it’s safe to say they are a better bet to win the Gold then the Celtics are to win the NBA title up 2-0 already. The team doesn’t need Clarke to win and I suspect not a woman on that team wants her straight white untattooed ass on the court with them. But Clarke’s omission does create one problem for their team.

With the length of this 32 year winning streak it would be only natural that sooner or later they would drop a game as the rest of the world slowly catches up. Under normal circumstances such a loss on the road to Gold would be no big deal.

But can you imagine what the reaction will be if they finally lose a game the year Clarke is left off the team?

I think the reaction of fans would be humiliating for the team and the coaches and this is going to mean extra pressure for that team to win and win big.

Well you asked for it.

This weekend Jonah Goldberg noted that a lot of people on the right were comparing Trump to Christ and weren’t taking into account the idea that he cheated on his wife with a porn star.

Well there are two things I’d like to say to that. While Jonah is of course free do disagree on the merits of either verdict the fact is we compare Trump to Christ because Trump we believe both were found guilty unjustly, not of sleeping around but of a completely made up bookkeeping felony, so like Christ he was unjustly found guilty. Nobody (with the possible exception of Laura Loomer) on the right compares Trump to Christ’s divinity.

Second while I do in fact find it plausible that a really rich guy decided to bang a porn star and tried to keep it quiet (frankly I’d hate to have my performance in bed judged by a professional) folks like me who under the old rules thought such things should be disqualifying were massively outvoted on said rules so until the left decides to go back to said rules we aren’t either.

We’re in the middle of a baseball season where the Redsox have a great crop of young players and at the end of a basketball season where the Celtics are in the finals with a solid shot of winning and least we forget the Pats have a new 1st round QB and an old Brady era vet to mentor him. All these things are strong temptations to have me pony up for one of various sports packages from NESN to MLB to NBA etc etc etc…

…and then June roles around and all the professional teams go out of their way to remind me that they are not on my side in the culture wars and suddenly radio and hitting a local bar/restaurant to watch a game rather then giving these guys my money becomes an attractive alternative.

My thanks to various leagues for helping me appreciate the joy of free sports.

Oh and the annual ritual of business shoving gay pride down our throats in the west while making it a point to avoid the same in the middle east continues as always, with BMW actually admitting what we all know that it’s all about the risk and reward of the mob.

Of course in a new years the Ghastly Tom Hagan math will catch up with the west and when it does the west will drop their pride campaigns faster than the Democrats dropped Israel

Speaking of a lack of principles there are quite a few GOP candidates who had been pushing their pro-life credentials in the past who suddenly find themselves willing to compromise on life to gain higher office.

Now there are no shortage of Democrats who run as republicans in red states or republican who run as dems in blue states to get power nor is there a shortage in either party of people whose primary principle is to advance their political power. And the reality is that given the number of honest men & women in politics you likely can’t get a majority without these sorts.

So when there is no other choice by all means elect them but keep such folks away from the true levers of party power because people willing to sell out their principles or their God will have little trouble selling you.

Finally episode one of the Chosen is available free and those who expected to see the aftermath of the feeding of the 5000 and the calming of the waters which closed last season might have been shocked to see they went back to Luke Chapter 1 to the Visitation as their lead.

Granted they decided to knock off John the Baptist in episode one but if there is one thing you could always be sure of in any protestant movie about Christ skips the 6th chapter of John once it reaches verse 26 the beginning of the bread to life discourses. The only exception being word for word adaptions of Gospel.

Given that The Chosen is a TV series rather than a movie there would have been more than enough time to include them but as Catholic as Jonathan Roumie is, he does not have creative control so the bread of life discourses had to go.

Don’t get me wrong, it was a good episode and I liked the juxtaposition of the Canticle of Zachariah (the Morning Prayer of the Catholic Church) with the scenes of John’s end and the reaction to it but some things never change, and if you were expecting to see The Chosen break that mold you will be mistaken.

Oh and I’d watch it via the youtube live stream because the loading time of the app seems to be very slow likely due to the sheer number of people trying to watch it there.

Yesterday I went to lunch with my two older brothers. The oldest of us is 74 the middle turns 70 this December and I’m bringing up the rear at 61. We are all very different but we have one big thing in common, one marriage very long. I’ve been married 36, the middle one 39 years and my oldest 54 years. That’s a combined 129 years of being married without a divorce.

I’ve failed at a lot of things in life, but marriage is something all three of us have aced.

Of the three of us my oldest brother is the best in managing money and avoiding debt. In fact he said he had done so well lately he insisted on paying for lunch only asking for a fiver to make the tip come out right. He’s not what anyone would call “rich” but he’s doing OK and his children, grandchildren are pretty much set. He was once been asked what was the secret of his ability to make smart financial decisions and avoiding debts.

His answer, getting married at the age of 20 and having a daughter at 21 forced him to be prudent with his cash and make good decisions to keep his family going.

So many people run away from responsibility at 19 and 20 saying they have their whole life ahead of them but the reality is that if you run toward responsibility when you are young you won’t end up living with your parents with a bunch of college debt and no prospect to have a house.

It’s ironic because that’s the trajectory of George “Georgie” Cooper in Young Sheldon. He ends up getting married before 20, having a child before twenty and having to, while raising his own family help keep things together for his mother and sister with his fathers sudden death and eventually grows up to be, as the older Sheldon describes him “A loser who sells more tires than anyone in Texas”.

My brother never got rich but he also only had the one marriage, advantage Tony.

One of the reasons why neither of my brothers are rich is that both while civil servants who worked for the state for decades were incorruptible. Both had plenty of opportunities for graft if they had chosen to take them and had temptation put out in front of them in terms of money and women etc but turned it down.

They were wise enough to recognize these temptations as traps because once you cross that line those who know you did or find out you did own you. I suspect this drives a lot of the corruption in both the state and federal governments , people crossing the line, people who want favors using that to gain more favors. That’s how a Joe Biden and a Nancy Pelosi become multi millionaires on a member of congress’ salary.

I also suspect this is why Joe Biden and the left is so determined to crush the middle class out of existence. A person who is content with a middle class life isn’t owned by others and can’t be easily manipulated.

I arrived second for our lunch yesterday and found one of my brothers sitting outside in the beautiful day for us and sat with him. I had just had a VERY annoying experience in solving a problem that shouldn’t have existed that had put me off and relished the chance to vent about it to my brother outside of other people’s hearing. It was just what I needed at the time.

One of the hardest things about being the generation whose turn it is to die is you start to run out of people to vent to. You don’t have parents or elders for advice because you’re the elder and the number of people who you’ve known all your life decreases with age as people start dropping dead.

I suspect I won’t have both of my brothers for more than a few years at most. So I plan on taking advantage of this and having regular bi-monthly lunches with them while we still can.

My youngest son realizes this dynamic as well. He walked over to the house after his work yesterday and we spent a hour chatting and then hitting the local 99’s to watch the Bruins be eliminated from the playoffs on a late goal with under 2 minutes (their specialty) It was two hours of talk, chat and company and I found myself talking to him about the times my dad would drive me to the nearest comic book store in Harvard Square which was 60 miles away (this was in the 70’s when such stores were rare) those were good times. My youngest is a lot like my father, gregarious, cooks up a storm and seems to be loved by everyone around him and he seems to recognize the value of this time we get together while it’s still in play.

That’s wisdom.

One of the few really bright points about the cuts and work and my current shift. My best mass window is the 6 PM mass right after work on Sunday which happens to be the mass my sons attend together weekly. So I am spoiled in terms of time with them lately. Of course at the end of a 10 hour day that starts a 5:17 AM I’m not up for much

Today however I have off, alas my wife will be working but both sons are free so we’ll be heading up to Manchester on a road trip to the Tycoon Arcade (we talked about them during my Pintastic ne 2024 coverage)

While my youngest is into the pinball scene my oldest oldest isn’t a big arcade guy but again it’s the time together that is of value. Last weekend DaWife and I went with him to help setup at a New Hampshire Renaissance Fair where he was volunteering to spend time with a friend. The time together was of great value and as he grows closer to a decision on a vocation within the church these times together become of even more value because if that what he is called to such times will likely cease to exist.

That’s also one of the advantages of not actually having a machine, it gives an excuse to do something and makes such a trip more enjoyable. Because when it comes down to it no matter what you have, whether it’s pinball machines or games or anything else it’s pretty much stuff and how much of the stuff you have do you really use on a regular basis? One of the best parts of getting older is the realization that stuff does not bring happiness. It can be the basis for a pleasant memory but it’s the memory, not the stuff that produces the smile.

I made some pleasant memories with my brothers yesterday. I’ll make some pleasant memories with my sons today. Take my advice and if your day is free or if you have a free day coming up, use it to make pleasant memories with people you like while they are available. It will pay a higher dividend than any of the stuff you aquire.
