I am so Linuxed out…

I’ve spent a good chunk of my waking hours doing online linux courses and studying. I have linux on the brain and am very tired.

Tomorrow I re-open my unemployment claim and maybe manage lunch with the wife, beyond that there are a pair of broken cars needing fixing (only the dough to fix one for now) and an interview to keep preparing for (no game night for me this week). Oh and I have to swap out a power supply on a pc when I get the chance.

The good news is since there is no chance of me not waiting at the unemployment office I’ll likely finish the Palin book tomorrow morning but I’m about as mentally tired as one can get.

I sure hope nothing exciting happens in the next 24 hours politically, I wouldn’t know what to write.

I blogged a bit yesterday morning before and after mass but today I just don’t know.

Catholics being Catholic

It can be a scary thing in the cafeteria, particularly if you are a pol.

Roman Catholic Bishop Thomas Tobin has banned Rep. Patrick Kennedy from receiving Communion, the central sacrament of the church, in Rhode Island because of the congressman’s support for abortion rights, Kennedy said in a newspaper interview published Sunday.

Bishop Tobin should be prepared to be attacked by every media in the MSM, apparently he read the job description and it doesn’t bother him. A commentator on Lucianne nails it:

The Bishop is acting properly to save Patrick’s soul. Anyone who receives Holy Communion in a state of mortal sin eats and drinks his own condemnation.

Of course that is what confession is for. Kennedy’s soul and a bunch of others are what he is after. Of course it’s hard to convince people who don’t believe in the soul that it could be his reason.

A: The ultimate example of the Gore effect.

Could there have been a worse week for him to be out there?

A: I’m thinking I’m thinking.
